  1. Wife and I are running the Bryan/College Station half in December and I don’t have an event planned after that until March. I’m looking at Chattanooga or Florida 70.3 in May. We’re moving next month and marathon training would be tough for January Houston full.
  2. Nice man. Welcome!
  3. I sincerely hope you enjoy more information of what you’re putting in your bloodstream.
  4. I guess ignorance is bliss to some.
  5. Honest answer: your guess is as good as mine. I’m not a doctor but I believe the flu shot is dead flu strains that the CDC believes will be the predominant strains based on cases in Australia or southern hemisphere countries. These dead strains are added to the base vaccine and administered accordingly. Again, no idea exactly. But we will find out soon enough and that’s exciting.
  6. Let’s not read an article when you can hear what he has to say (don’t know if posting links to X is allowed?, if not, sorry):
  7. Yeah, fuck those working class people.
  8. This strategy started in 2012, not 2016.
  9. “He says, ‘If you give me the data, all I want is the data, and I’ll take on the data and show that it’s not safe,’” Lutnick said. “Let’s give him the data. I think it’ll be pretty cool to give him the data. Let’s see what he comes up with. I think it’s pretty fun.” It appears that RFK wants the data on vaccines to show and inform the American people on what they’re actually putting in their bodies. RFK has said multiple times that there are good vaccines out there but the data is being gate-kept by the CDC and FDA.
  10. Link?
  11. I use Gu for training as they’re relatively inexpensive. For race day, I splurge and do Maurten (if it’s a running race). They’re about double the price. I typically don’t race with water and Maurten go very easy on the stomach and don’t require water. Hammer just tears my stomach up.
  12. Been battling what I think is Covid for the last week or so. Just overall felt like shit. Today was really the first day I felt normal. I’ll probably go for a run in the morning. It’s been a week since I’ve run and I’m itching to get back out there.
  13. Houston Half this morning and set a PR of 1:43:09. Not bad.
  14. Good luck man. Bandaids just don't work for me and fall off due to chest hair. I use NipEaze from amazon and they work magically.
  15. I sold probably 80 ounces of silver over the past month. I'm going to hold the rest and see where it goes.
  16. @Clintonaldo:
  17. Our media team should be the highest paid media team in CFB.
  18. Watching the game again because fuck blowu. Lefau is a fucking dog.
  19. That's where he's leaning. MRI next week will show growth rate over the last month/6 weeks. We'll see. It's a waiting game.
  20. Sark with the Lane Kiffin style troll.
  21. Heard him yell over my TV. Feels like Quinn is playing timid and scared to get hit.
  22. Sark halftime:
  23. I’ve got to get clearance from my wife before I sign up and train for a full. The training is a part time job in itself. With an 8 year old and a full time job, something would have to give.
  24. Update on my dad. He came back down to MDA and met with the surgeon, oncologist, and PA. If you recall upthread, he has a rare form of cancer called spinal chordoma. It's literally 1 in a million as 300 people are diagnosed with it every year in the US. They gave him three options: 1. Have part of his spine cord cut out as they can't remove the entire thing without also putting out a portion of his spinal cord. This would involve him having to wear a colostomy bag and have a catheter the rest of his life (he's 73 by the way). The lower sections of the spinal cord control bladder and bowels and he would lose that ability to control himself. My dad literally said "fuck that, next". 2. Treat with high-dose radiation therapy. With this therapy, there is a risk that he would also lose control of his bladder and bowels. 3. Monitor with MRIs/CT scans for the remainder of his life. My dad's thoughts here were that this has been showing up on CT scans since his last round of treatment for something unrelated to the chordoma. My mom and I both think this is what he'll end up doing. However, this runs the risk that the tumor can grow to the point where he can no longer control his bladder and bowels. Or it could spread to his lungs. He has a history of smoking and obesity so I would imagine it will likely move up to his lungs but I'm not a doctor. They came down for another MRI last week and got on a plane to Scandinavia to get on a cruise ship for 2 weeks. I think he'll decide over there.
