  1. Don't be such a dipshit. I already explained my reasoning vs Alabama. My original argument was BYU getting in over SMU if SMU loses in the CCG and then you slide in with akshually... Now you are moving the goalposts again and asking about BYU getting in over the CG loser, an argument I haven't been making. If ASU loses the CG they should get in over BYU due to H2H. With Iowa State, there's an argument to be made for BYU. I don't think the SEC is all that (and I definitely don't think the Big 10 is all that, although Oregon looks exceptional) and I think BYU can compete against any SEC team (I don't think we'd beat Texas this year). Every SEC team is beatable. GT took Georgia to 8 OTs. We beat Arkansas last year (and we were a 5-7 team), we beat Tennessee in 2019, we beat MSU in 2016, we beat Ole Miss in 2011. We lost to Texas last year, but you know the record before that with Taysom Hill. We've had success against the SEC.
  2. Well for starters, Alabama has 3 losses. They also got smoked by Oklahoma, a 6-6 team, and only scored 3 points. BYU beat the likely ACC champ on the road and its two losses are by a combined 9 points.
  3. And if SMU loses, then BYU would also only have two losses, but beat SMU H2H, so BYU would have an argument over SMU at that point.
  4. Somebody has to lose tho
  5. Happening in the SEC, too.
  6. So it's the 6 SEC teams, then BYU, then everybody else. 🤠
  7. It wasn't just that we lost, but how we lost that kills me. We stop Kansas and it's 4th and 14, they fake a play, the QB squib kicks it, it hits the defender in the head, our guy pounces on it but somehow the ball squirts out, Kansas guy recovers, next play Kansas TD. What a sucky, flukey play. We still had a chance to win it later, but we could have locked the game down right here. Kansas HC says he has practiced that play every week since he's been a head coach. Paid off. Ugh...
  8. What kind of logic is this? The system was horribly exclusive and unfair before, so if it's still unfair, just a little less so, then so what? Football is a game of direct competition, why are we having biased judges scoring for access? Let teams settle it on the field and come up with the most unbiased system possible for access.
  9. Wut? Big 12 After Dark has been awesome (except when we lose). Main problem is no blue bloods in football.
  10. That is a bitter pill
  11. This weekend will be a good test to see how legit Indiana is. Maybe Russillo is right. Maybe he just likes sniffing SEC farts.
  12. Still pissed about how we lost on Saturday, but we still control our destiny. This brought a little perspective and made me laugh.
  13. I prefer to call it resiliency, never-say-die, the new king of the B12 taking everybody's best shot.
  14. The only thing good about those is that the brown and yellow have been minimized
  15. Is Slinky Dog the Utah AD?
  16. BS. That is an egregious hold. That is not just a yank to the jersey to slow the receiver down, that you could maybe let slide. It was so bad the DB almost caused the receiver to fall. The DB got busted and deserved it. Regarding the o-line hold (didn't see it), there was also an egregious hands to the face of a blocker that could have been called on Utah on that play and was not. So that cancels each other out as far as I am concerned.
  17. This view shows how bad the hold was and the QB looking at him to see if that receiver is open. He's held and the QB has to look elsewhere. That hold absolutely impacted the play and was the right call.
  18. If BYU wins the CCG, then only BYU gets in. If BYU wins out but loses in the CCG, then BYU should also get in regardless of all the SEC fart sniffers. If BYU drops 2 games in the remaining schedule, then only the B12 CCG gets in.
  19. Please keep the beatdown of Utah going and we'll see you in Arlington (I hope).
  20. SEC is so much better, amirite?
