  3. The b12 has a problem, though: no conference team is undefeated and Texas is the only team with only 1 season loss. That doesn't leave a lot of options. They have to know that if they screw over Texas to a loss, then NO team from the Rig 12 will be getting anywhere close to the playoffs. So that means that when everyone gets to the big bowl and playoff games, either NO ONE is talking about the b12 at all, or at best, the conversation would be that winning the b12 isn't impressive enough to get their champion to the playoffs, where the b12 would be considered the worst of the major conferences even BEFORE losing their top two most esteemed teams. Next option is to let Texas win, or even bite the bullet and rig the games in our favor. The downside there is that the conference champion is leaving next year to a different conference, which could have the appearance that the best team is being promoted to a better league. But on the other hand, at least the b12 is in the mix and being talked about during the playoffs, and there would be opportunity to say how the conference is competitive enough to produce a playoff-worthy champion. "Texas got here because of the quality of wins against the other competitive Big 12 teams, and we'll be back next year with another exciting team!" kind of thing. May be the best option the b12 can have out of this season. So which do they choose? Oh, what am I saying? Obviously they will try to screw over Texas and screw themselves over at the same time. If the conference made good decisions, we wouldn't be leaving.
  4. Somebody grab the “Jaylen Heisman” trademark before the rush!
  5. No way that shove is enough to fire Jimbo with cause - looks like he's just trying to get the team on the field before there are play clock issues. It's not like Jimbo is leading with the crown of his helmet to Max's head and neck area. (or to whatever area the little goblin's height would allow him to reach on Max - hip? thigh?). Besides, aggy is getting votes and is a ranked team! At least they should be ranked according to the Lubbock AP guy: Best 5-4 team in the country, baby!
  6. Saw Crawl a couple years ago and really liked it. Love a good creature movie, and sometimes even moreso when it's a real world threat, not a sharktopus or a zombeaver. Watched Feast last night (2005, Freevee on Prime) and it was decent. Violent creatures trap a lot of people in a bar and try to get in to eat them. The creatures were a bit low-budget, but the gore was very there and the comedy worked most of the time. Couldn't predict who would survive, despite the movie itself providing actual written character info for everybody on the screen. One creature humped a person, another creature face-raped a gal, and two creatures had full on sex with each other - I guess you don't see that a lot in creature flicks. I see online that it has two sequels - not sure it needs that, but I haven't seen 'em, so who knows. Grade: B, maybe B+. Then watched We're All Going to the World's Fair (2021, Max). Didn't get it. This is horror? This is what I always pictured Gossip Girl was like. Grade: D for horror, B- for Gossip Girl.

  8. Haha! $10 million for this guy, $13 million for that guy… let’s see… $20 million for that dude, $3 million for that loser… and then… SEVENTY FUCKING SIX MILLION to get rid of Jimbo! You be you, aggy.
  9. For Halloween season, a thread for some horror short films. Some through the month will have violence and blood and gore and stuff, so standard NSFW disclaimer for the thread. Today, The Backrooms.
  10. Two years, I suppose. Take away the $13mil payment from the university altogether. OSU lost $14 million in 20-21 due to your covid year, and then lost $12mil in 21-22. If they had been break-even in 21-22, then they should have shown a $13mil profit with the university payment included, but they didn't.
  11. But aren't you counting that $13mil twice? By my understanding of it, OSU lost around $14mil in 20-21 because of Covid. To offset this loss, the university paid in almost $13mil during the 21-22 season. You're saying the 21-22 season was profitable by about a million, but that includes the almost $13mil to offset the year prior. So if you move that to 20-21 to offset that loss, doesn't that leave 21-22 at a big loss? 21-22 might still have been affected by Covid, I suppose, but the numbers seem to me to show a profit for that year only because they got a big university payment to offset the previous year.
