  1. Countdown until Paxton claims the vote was rigged? I mean, I hear a lot of them were wanting to say "I vote no to this terrible travesty of hearsay, and hearsay on hearsay, and dare I say, hearsay on hearsay on hearsay," but were cut off after their first syllable and counted as "Aye" votes. WITCH HUNT!

If Christian organizations don't denounce this kind of stuff, then it IS the modern form of being a Christian. Sorry, but I can't continue to give them the benefit of the doubt and use a 2,000 year old definition of Christianity. Christians continue to vote in the same viewpoints, continue to attend the same churches led by these same pastors, continue to ignore or justify abhorrent actions by their leaders in a number of different areas, and continue to say to themselves 'oh, but that's not MY religion.'
  3. Chop, a few days ago you necro-negged me for that post and then necro-quoted it just now. Dude, that post was over a month ago. Let it go. I'm only posting this reply out of courtesy for your pathological scream for attention, as you popped up yet again as a notification for me while I was on the Movies & TV board - stop trying to make you and I happen. Surely you noticed that I didn't even care enough to neg you back a few days ago. Please find some medication to steal from someone's medicine cabinet for yourself. As a general approach, that thought was utterly stupid, but for you specifically, I can understand the necessity.

Special congratulations to Florida for becoming known as a beacon of hate all the way on the other side of the world (@1:08):

I regret ever spending a dollar in Florida, and won't ever again until the maga/christian infestation is removed. Astonishing: The Florida legislature passed a bill Thursday that will let the state take transgender minors away from their families if they are receiving gender-affirming care. The bill passed the Senate by a vote of 26–13, mainly along party lines, and the House shortly after by a vote of 83–28, again along party lines. The measure now goes to the desk of Governor Ron DeSantis, who has previously expressed support for it and will likely sign it into law. If he signs it into law, the measure will allow the state to take custody of a child if they have been “subjected to or [are] threatened with being subjected to” gender-affirming care, which includes puberty blockers and hormone replacement therapy. Florida courts could modify custody agreements from a different state if the minor is likely to receive gender-affirming care in that second state. The text refers to gender-affirming care as “sex-reassignment prescriptions or procedures” and qualifies this care as a form of “physical harm.” https://newrepublic.com/post/172444/florida-passes-bill-allowing-trans-kids-taken-families
  6. So who does the inspections? Governmental employees via the school? Medical professionals hired for this specific inspection purpose? Or maybe clergy members because that's where most of the experience in child genital inspections resides?
  7. You're not worth it, Chopper, and anyone who hasn't put you on ignore already knows that your argument here is ridiculous. I was snide to you because your viewpoint is shit.
  8. I'm sure I just don't know all the ins of "that" crowd, but what's the deal with the flag on the right? 11 stripes on the right edge, I guess 13 stripes on the left edge if you count the 2 distributed incorrectly there, and 36 (30?) stars? Is that something? Or the one to the left of that with the jacked up stars again, and a square cutout at the bottom right? Does it have 15-ish stripes? Is it supposed to be two flags? Why wouldn't you just photoshop in actual flags? It's the American flag, for heaven's sake - how do you mess it up so much?? Unless, of course, you're not American...
  9. Quick, someone trademark MyPilsner before he gets his hands on it!
  10. Sorry, buddy, I already did on this very topic using your very own observations. Prohibiting excessive prescriptions of opioids has led to them not being able to be abused by children stealing them from their parents’ medicine cabinets for such purposes as “sleep aids”. Sorry you missed it - it WAS easy to knock it out of the park, mainly using YOUR OWN point that they are harder for children to , well, steal. You know, like you used to do.
  11. Yeah, good response, Chopper. Like everyone on here, I remember all the TV ads through our youth recommending just going into your parents' medicine cabinet and taking some pills from in there. Keep up the good fight.
  12. Well, prohibition from allowing addictive prescription medications to be abused through excessive and unnecessary prescriptions seems to have already led to the situation where the kids are not able to steal the leftover pills from their parents' medicine cabinet without their knowledge, so there's a situation that seems to have worked out. I mean, unless the kid has some drug-pusher friend who has an avenue to some death drugs.
  13. So your scenario is that a kid can't steal his/her parents' prescription pills because they are so limited nowadays, so they turn to a friend who ALSO can't steal their own parents' prescription pills, but knows someone who sells drugs (or sells drugs themselves?), and then that seller sells to the friend who then gives or sells the drugs to the original kid in question who then dies from those drugs being laced? I'm sure that happens all the time. We all miss the days when kids could just steal prescription pills from their parents' medicine cabinet and be done with it so they could get some sleep. Good take.
  14. Disney World kicking so much ass in this deal makes me wonder... what kind of Mickey Mouse operation is Desantis running down there??

    OP makes a good point.
  16. Boebert - "Who decides what is true or false?" Raskin - "Sit the fuck down" (basically)
  17. Same here with "You've Got a Friend in Me" from Toy Story - woulda put money down that it won, but it lost to Pocahontas' "Colors of the WInd" and it was some Toy Story 3 song that won, that I don't think I know at all.
  18. Actually, Que Sera Sera was my mom's favorite song, and whenever we'd roll our eyes at her singing it, she'd remind us that it won an Oscar. I looked up the later ones, but Que Sera Sera wining Best Song is one of those forever memories for me.
