  1. cool David Pierce us 60+ years old and washed while Vitello is 45. Vitellos career is just beginning and is WAAAAAY more successful than Pierce was at the time of his hiring.
  2. There are at least 3-4 guys who are better options now than Pierce was at the time of his hiring. This argument is shit.
  3. As per usual these days expect commitments around end of June into early July with some bleeding into August and football season.
  4. Texas was outscored 34-11 in two of his appearances with 5 run game being the closest in those appearances. That is about as non competitive as you can get and down right embarrassing. Let me put into a perspective you might understand. It's like the valley HS football teams you root for that go 3 rounds deep and get shit on by a SA team, every so many years they may beat the SA team and make it 4 rounds deep in playoffs just go get curb stomped by Austin area school.
  5. Catilin Clark is having a better season stat wise than Turasi.
  6. Using @Balcones methodolgy I went through and compiled a list of all potential candidates who won national titles as assistants since 2003 Rice. As you will notice we have a ton of candidates! Cal St Fullerton - Dave Serrano, Rick Vanderhook, Chad Baum Texas - Tommy Harmon, Tom Holliday Oregon St - Marty Lees, Dan Spencer, Nate Yeskie, Andy Jenkins Fresno St - Pat Waer, Matt Curtis, Mike Mayne LSU - Javi Sanchez, David Grewe, Wes Johnson, Josh Jordan, Marc Wanaka South Carolina - Chad Holbrook, Mark Calvi, Sammy Esposito, Jerry Meyers Arizona - Shaun Cole, Matt Siegel, Brett Scyphers UCLA - Jake Silverman, TJ Bruce, Rex Peters Vandy - Scott Brown, Travis Jewett, Drew Hedman, Mike Baxter Virginia - Kevin McMullan, Karl Kuhn, Matt Kirby Coastal Carolina - Kevin Schnall, Drew Thomas, Matt Schilling Florida - Craig Bell, Brad Weitzel Miss St - Scott Foxhall, Jake Gautreau Ole Miss - Mike Clement, Car Lafferty
  7. Not to mention that it is looking highly likely that 5 of 8 CWS teams are from SEC, the same conference of Florida. That SEC baseball schedule is a grind and could make some teams be deceiving.
  8. Clemson has only 12 CWS appearances in 100+ years of baseball, 2010 being the last year. Michigan has 2 tournament championships(1953 and 1962). They have 1 runner up finish in 2019 under Bakich. Michigan has only appeared in 8 CWS with a large gap between 1984(second to last appearance) and 2019(their last appearance) Maryland has no CWS appearances in their programs history.
  9. You just need to look at this similar to how when Tiger came into golf and the sports popularity blew up. WNBA is just now experiencing their media blow up. Those who came before just weren't there at the right time. It's that simple. Also the rookies and some girls still in college have larger followings than A'ja on social media. Reese, Clark, Brink, HVL, Bueckers, etc all have more IG followers than A'ja and they probably do a much better job of marketing themselves more. Finally, throw in that the players coming into the WNBA now have grown up with NIL and self marketing where as A'ja went through college without it. I'd guarantee you if A'ja was allowed NIL and etc she'd be much bigger superstar outside the game than now. That is Griner's little sisters
  10. A warning for calling you out? Yeah, okay dude. Sorry I'm just calling you out for your bullshit
  11. Suuuuuuure. You could have said them but most of your examples are black players. You're literally just trying to race bait without going all in on race baiting so you can reply exactly like you just did.
  12. Because she's black! Is that what you want people to say? The WNBA women overall need to do better and build upon the gift that has been handed to them by Clark. It doesn't matter who or how they've blown up but the opportunity is now for them. It is a key time in the growth of women's basketball and they'd rather be petty ass bitches and handle the press they give in a manner that isn't conducive to long term growth.
  13. Which is more than women's basketball gets, period. Oh and they will be talking about Clark regardless
  14. "I gotta tell you Gerry, the more I hear the more I'm hearing that David Pierce is unlikely to return." - Bobby on OTF this morning. Named dropped Bakich as well.
  15. CJ Vogel A post-official visit update on the seven visitors on campus at Texas this weekend and where things are moving for each recruitment. *** WR Tanook Hines – Dekaney (Texas) High Battle: Texas & Notre Dame Trending: Texas over ND Hines was a late addition to the official visit weekend in Austin and snuck in for the weekend. Texas has been pursuing the elite speedster for a while, with visits dating back to July of 2023 and the Junior Day in January. The message to Hines remains on the offensive side of the ball as Hines' 10.45 speed is certainly enticing to the staff. Should the Longhorns take a commitment from Hines, I have a hard time not seeing him in the class. Hines was hosted by Ryan Niblett on the trip. TE Kaleb Edwards – El Dorado Hills (Calif.) Oak Ridge Battle: Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Texas Trending: TBD Texas is heading out west for the talented four-star tight end out of El Dorado Hills. Edwards took his official visit to Austin and immediately departed to Auburn Sunday evening. With Texas set to host three additional tight ends in the class for OV's it remains to be seen where either sit for each other at the moment. Jordan Washington and Spencer Shannon were the hosts for Edwards on the trip this weekend. DL Myron Charles – Port Charlotte (Fla.) High Battle: Texas and Florida State Trending: Strong first OV, ball in FSU's court The first of two Texas and FSU battles in this cycle is brought to us by Myron Charles who departed Sunday afternoon from Austin. The Seminoles will get the final visit this month which could certainly play a factor as the month of July quiets things down a good bit. Texas has been poking around in SEC territory this cycle for defensive linemen and Charles is a big time prospect they are hoping to lure to the Lone Star State. DL Josiah Sharma – Folsom (Calif.) High Battle: Texas and Alabama Trending: Battle brewing Sharma escaped Austin without talking to media, however the early returns are positive on the front of the Longhorns here. Sharma visited for the first time in the spring with his high school coach and the trip was enough to earn the Longhorns an official visit. The relationship with Kalen DeBoer and his staff needs to be mentioned as Sharma was previously committed to Washington prior to his move to the SEC. EDGE Javion Hilson – Cocoa (Fla.) High Battle: Texas and Florida State Trending: Texas made a big jump in this recruitment The Longhorns vaulted into the top two for Hilson who made it known right away the visit exceeded that of his Florida official visit to kick off the month. The city, university and status of the program were all key takeaways for Hilson and his mother – who mentioned to our Gerry Hamilton she prefers the Longhorns. The Florida State pledge will take his official visit to Tallahassee on June 21. CB Caleb Chester – Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall Battle: Arkansas, Texas, Texas A&M Trending: Texas out front I have a hard time envisioning a program better positioned for Chester than Texas at the moment. Texas has been pushing for quite some time and the visit continues that momentum. I do not see Chester going too far from home and with Texas A&M stacked up at corner in the 2025 class (four commits already), Texas is the most likely destination. ATH Michael Terry III – San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights Battle: Nebraska, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M Trending: Texas helped themselves big this weekend Steve Sarkisian's involvement in this recruitment has been a game changer for Michael Terry in the past week or two. There was a lengthy conversation about where the Longhorns envision him at the next level which was received well by Terry. A source has indicated to me that Texas is the place Terry would prefer to be at, however Nebraska has a strong relationship at the moment and there remains some important conversations yet to be had with Terry which will go a long way in this recruitment. Bobby's reply:
  16. So apparently San Antonio is getting a Terry Blacks somewhere on Broadway
  17. Charlie Strong has coached a BCS national championship team. Your point?
  18. He has been closer to winning a championship than Pierce has ever been. Sure, lose 2 games, but don't get outscored 34-11 in 2 of those years. That uncompetitive.
