  1. Bobby Burton Posted 38 minutes ago Today is an appetizer. Tomorrow is the meal. Today, we get to speak with Texas coaches, from all of the coordinators to the newly minted assistants, and all of those in between. ** Tomorrow, we get a first look at the 2025 Longhorns. Here are some pre-camp thoughts: - I’m betting long on Christian Clark. Something about the young runner tells me he could be a real factor this year. - I like Parker Livingstone and Emmett Mosley. A lot. Folks who discount either of them, or think they are necessarily a rung down from DeAndre Moore and Ryan Wingo, do so at their own peril IMO. I think Texas has a very, very strong first four. - I think DJ Campbell has turned a mental corner. He will be an elite player in 2025. - I also think there’s a real chance for a slight upset somewhere along the offensive line in fall camp. Someone we think is going to start may get passed or beat out. - I get the feeling Emaree Winston is going to find himself in the TE rotation, somehow, some way. His blend of athleticism, toughness and ease of catching the ball on the move is much rarer than his recruiting ranking would suggest. I’m not making the exact comparison here, but there is some Bo Scaife in Winston. - Likewise, Graceson Littleton will play this season. I don’t know how or when, but the buzz behind the true freshman is too loud to ignore. Could he leapfrog someone talented during fall camp? Or, more likely, will he see some game action early and then work his way into more snaps as the season progresses? - If you want a prediction for a breakout player on defense, I’m going with Colton Vasek. If he can stay healthy, he will effect the game as a strong-side end, especially against run-heavy teams. - Based on special teams workouts, I’m told that we should expect punter Jack Bouwmeester to be a difference maker. ** Gerry and I were asked yesterday about who would “get off the bus first” for the Longhorns. I decided to make a list longer than just one name, because, frankly, the Horns have a number of players who look different than the regular guy at multiple positions. - Travis Shaw - Trevor Goosby - Nick Brooks - Lance Jackson - Justus Terry - Anthony Hill - Jelani McDonald - Colin Simmons - Jonah Williams - Nate Kibble - Alex January - Maraad Watson - Emmett Mosley - Arch Manning - Zina Umeozulu - Ryan Wingo bobby calling out @closetojumping
  2. I used to be scared of semi trucks because of maximum overdrive, great sound track btw. Also Cujo made me scared of dogs as a kid.
  3. Joesph isn’t that great of a corners coach but he’s a good safety coach. I think it’s an upgrade there.
  4. An odd fact is there was no blood in Halloween.
  5. There are at least of dozen examples of RS players having great first starting seasons.
  6. IT gave me nightmares for months as a kid.
  7. It’s a Kreul world idc how he pronounces it.
  8. Matthew golden was limited by his QB is the point. Every game WRs running open deep and balls failing to connect.
  9. That receiver from North Crowley
  10. Can’t really make too many conclusions on WR based off last year imo.
  11. The goblin on wing of plane one messed me up as a kid. The completely empty town one was creepy too.
  12. The only thing that matters is that you did not go to LSU if you try and work for CTJ
  13. Trades are wide open and hardly oversaturated. There is about to be a whole lot of workers potentially retiring or dying in the trades which will open up more. automation, data centers, ai centers, and many other commercial and industrial facilities need trades regardless of work force being humans or robots.
  14. I was just about to say this. The fact he isn't top 5 is wild.
  15. Everyone throughout the southeast is targeting the texas burbs
  16. Who is the last obese coach to win a national title? Bowden in 99? Was he even fat in 99?
  17. Gerry Hamilton Posted 8 minutes ago Recruiting: Two decisions on deck Texas is back in the top 5 recruiting classes once again, and there are two more decisions prior to the state of the season that could vault the Longhorns even higher. Texas still has the potential to sign a class of 27 or 28 prospects. If that happens, the Longhorns will likely be in the mix for a second strgith No. 1 ranked class. Davon Benjamin, DB, Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian The 4-star++ versatile defensive back will announce either August 2 or the 5th, with the the second being the current announced date. Oregon has been considered the favorite for the majority of his recruitment. Texas and Michigan are providing true competition, and the Longhorns are all in. Steve Sarkisian is part of this recruitment, along with Mark Orphey, Duane Akina, area recruiter Johnny Nansen and DC Pete Kwiatkowski. Washington and North Carolina will have hats at the table. Jake Kreul, EDGE, Orlando (Fla.) IMG Academy The OTF 4-star+ EDGE was considered an Oklahoma lean headed into OV's and through most of June. Now a month later, Texas has momentum here with a final push. Ole Miss and Oklahoma also remain in the mix. The Longhorns want a pass rush specialist in the class, and Kruel is the best prospect in that regard on the board. Kruel could commit in early August, or wait until October. IMG Academy has their media day the first week of August. Texas will work to flip ... Where the Texas class ultimately finish in the class rankings will not be decided until flips candidates and a potential senior riser signs in December. Malakai Lee, OT, Honolulu (Hi.) Kamehameha - *Michigan commit OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++ Trenton Henderson, EDGE, Pensacola (Fla.) Catholic - *LSU commit OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star Jalen Lott, WR, Frisco (Texas) Panther Creek - *Oregon commit OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++ OTF believes offensive tackle, EDGE, linebacker, wide receiver and defensive back are positions currently still on the table.
