  1. I don't think we do it for the big 3 but I do think we do it for lesser sports.
  2. Bobby Burton Texas is back on the practice field this morning. There is no viewing window for media today. So we will be passing along what we hear from behind the scenes as we get news. ** I will be interested in particular with the tight end position. With Jordan Washington sidelined, this is an opportunity for Emaree Winston to make a move before the portal opens. Obviously Spencer Shannon will be the no. 1 but that’s not enough, not with how much Sark likes using 12 personnel. ** The situation at wide receiver also continues to develop. Can Parker Livingstone, Jamie Ffrench and Daylon McCutcheon hold off Michael Terry and Kaliq Lockett? Or will the group rotate more interchangeably? In one of their other reports or a live stream they mentioned that McCutheon has really taken to the offense and is picking the playbook up with ease.
  3. Bobby Burton Stanford edge prospect David Bailey began his visit to Texas yesterday. That visit concludes later today. Bailey already visited Texas Tech earlier this week. Among a host of other suitors, UCLA may also get an official visit. As we’ve mentioned previously, Texas views Bailey as an elite player. After all, he was the best player on the Stanford team in 2024. He recorded seven sacks even though opposing teams knew he was really the Cardinal’s only defensive threat much of the season. Tech has been aggressive this cycle when it comes to NIL, so the Red Raiders are seen as a true threat. But the hope is that the higher profile and long-term success of Texas, along with competitive NIL, could be a difference maker for the Horns. Sark and GM Brandon Harris are showing they will continue to look for any way to improve the team, even when a position appears as loaded as Texas is at edge. I’ve been told more than once this off-season that Sark views every year as an opportunity to win a championship. Pushing the chips to the middle and going after Bailey is an example of just that IMO.
  4. This definitely couldn't have went in one of the aggie threads.
  5. Oven mit coming up from the back pocket would complete this.
  6. If I heard Schloss correct on OTF this morning it sounds like Galvan is back this weekend?
  7. Them sons of bitches banned the drop 5 Hype Fire! Scumbags!
  8. Vic will be on OTF tomorrow morning early so tune in at the beginning of their live around 8:15 am CST.
  9. So using analytics and studying the individual players most likely to contact the ball point they can customize where the mass is per hitter, correct? That's pretty cool
  10. Bobby One might wonder why the Longhorns are recruiting Stanford edge David Bailey from the transfer portal given edge is a position of strength for the Horns. Well, the answer isn’t that complicated. Texas clearly sees Bailey as an immediate player for this team. Bailey had seven sacks a year ago for the Cardinal and is thought to have high-end NFL upside. As a high school senior at Mater Dei in California, Bailey was the no. 34 overall ranked player in the country and is considered the best overall pro prospect on the Stanford squad. Getting after the quarterback will always carry a premium value. You can never have enough. So the Horns are looking to make a position that is considered a team strength even stronger.
  11. Bobby Burton A few quick notes: - As we reported yesterday afternoon, Ryan Wingo is sidelined with a hamstring injury for what likely will be the remainder of camp. It’s not considered ultra-serious. His timeline for recovery is about two weeks but the thought is Texas would rather let it fully heal than put undue pressure to return early. - Jordan Washington was dinged up over the weekend. Then he tried to give it a go again on Monday before being forced from the field. He’s currently in a shoulder harness and will be getting an MRI today. - I am told one other defensive player has a hand injury that could be keeping him sidelined for a bit. I’m not mentioning his name until it’s fully confirmed. In all, that’s three injuries of some significance through the first four practices. ** According to CJ Vogel, the three starting receivers in yesterday’s practice were Parker Livingstone, Jamie Ffrench and Daylon McCutcheon. **
  12. Growth opportunity for the young receivers. In Parker we trust!
  13. Lets not forget, A&M paid Nebraska 4+ million to buyout Alberts as well!
  14. More like DumbGuy
  15. They want really good players and you can never have too much good edge depth especially with Moore playing for linebacker.
  16. Wonder what this was before they slotted pay for 1st round picks? Teams reach for QBs consistently now because if you hit your franchise is set.
  17. https://www.espn.com/nfl/players/_/position/ot Of the 194 players listed above only 4 are listed at 6'3(2%) and 21 are listed at 6'4(11%). I used that link because it was the best compilation of names for the position I could find on Google. So yes 6'3 and even 6'4 is very uncommon for NFL OT. On another site it seems the want for more height at the tackle position has exploded the past 3-5 years as average height has increased about an inch. A final note is that I'm not sure why some of these players are listed on there when they are listed as guards for their team. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bz5qZw3O2OrAc1z-OGB8lqEAuYKWhev2KSGd3VcAlQE/edit?gid=0#gid=0 The four 6'3 players listed are as follows with some notes: The only consistent starter at tackle of the 6'3 guys is Beachum The 6'4 players listed are as follows with notes:
  18. I'm not saying recruit him as a center, but statistically speaking due to average heights and shit in the NFL he doesn't project to NFL OT.... As said above do whatever you have to do to get him on campus then decide long term.
  19. Here is Steve Smith breaking down Golden 2 weeks ago(timestamped). Smith is pretty good at evaluating receiver and hits on a lot of the guys he hypes. Compares Golden to McMillan and you gives insight how pro teams construct receiver rooms and how we do similar.
  20. There aren't many starting NFL tackles under 6'5 height.... He has elite footwork, long arms, and is very strong guy at his current weight. He likely gets to about 305-310 in college for his playing weight. Those measurements with his tools would crush at the center position as well as him being an incredibly smart kid(top 5 in his class).
  21. Dailyn Swain visiting today and tomorrow per Gerry.
