  1. I don't remember her name. But she was definitely meme worthy.
  2. Granted, but it typically doesn't make headlines like a Kardashian on vacation. All politics aside, you just know there's not "policy" reasons behind her support, it's purely for the shock value, and it works, because there's the tabloids with their cameras. I bet there's no neighborhood piano teachers in the Bin Laden family tree.
  3. I've only personally known one white billionaire over 80 in my life, and he's on trial for massive tax fraud. Granted, it's not a large sample size, but it ain't representin' real well.
  4. Are there going to be legal dispensaries, or is it all still just knowing a guy who knows a guy...? (I'd imagine the relative economy of Virginia will increase proportionally to the amount of money flowing out of NC, no reason...)
  5. So, Noor Bin Laden, Osama Bin Laden's niece, is a huge Trump supporter, and makes the news for displaying her support in places like Lake Geneva, etc. Is there *anyone* in the Bin Laden family who is nice and boring? Anyone? I mean, every family has that one person who, if the family decides to start a cult, instead decides to make baloney sandwiches at a homeless shelter. I suppose there might be, and we just never hear about them because they are boring. But it's hard to imagine. Say "Bin Laden" is your name, and I guess everyone just expects the furthest out, wildest story to be the true one.
  6. You know, I've been debating where to go on vacation for my birthday at the end of July this year. We've actually got Yorktown on the list; I think it just jumped a few spots.
  7. When the Russians realized how easy and profitable it would be to buy American politicians. Simple economics.
  8. This page is such a disappointment. Someone requested pics of Pam Grier, and no one came through.
  9. Ted's just jealous 'cause Vlad chose Trump to be Russia's first puppet American president.
  10. Honestly, ban gerrymandering, and 99% of our problems go away. Hell yes, I'd support that, especially if the dumb bastard really does manage to get a handful of GOP votes for it. Moscow Mitch will oppose it til the day he dies, of course, which can't come soon enough.
  11. I had to request a special order of brisket from my favorite butcher recently; he asked me if I was doing corned beef. So much damned hate. There's a lot of things I wouldn't trade about North Carolina, but BBQ is not on that list.
  12. So, Charlie McCarthy really was Edgar Bergen all along?
  13. I need to remember "Rand Paul is Hillary Clinton's tit" for my next poetic project.
  14. Wake me for the halftime show. On second thought, please don't.
  15. Sure they do. Hot air expands, duh.
  16. Pretty sure he's referencing great-great-great-great-great-great...great-great aunt Lucy from the Serengeti all those years ago.
  17. Something, something, my banana is bigger than yours, something.
  18. Standing up for the principles and ideals this country was founded on is now sufficient to be called a "Radical left agenda". I'm hep, call me a radical. I believe in democracy and the rule of law; that's me, through and through.
  19. You know, even if it were true, and I don't believe it is, there's a certain point at which it becomes too big a pain in the ass to be useful. At least be clever if you can't be pleasant.
  20. I'm related by marriage to some dead people who thought hydroxychloroquine was gonna save 'em. Fake news kills. Meanwhile, our 12 year old son just got his 2nd dose today, so this family of leftists laughs at all the hydrochloroclones and their compromised immune systems. Suck it, losers.
  21. Can you do a spinal check on someone who has demonstrated again and again that they have no actual spine?
  22. If Trump is in a wheelchair by September, I'm not gonna know what to think. Faking for his defense? Or actually in decline and we should all get out the party hats and champagne? The only thing about it that gives me much optimism is the idea that he's too full of himself to ever consider a full on faking of dementia. It's one thing to pretend you have bone spurs when all the rich kids are doing it, it's another thing altogether to "admit" peeing yourself and needing a nurse to lift your sippy cup, whether it's true or not.
  23. Yeah, well you could steal a lot more money with clever use of a #2, that's all I'm sayin'.
  24. Process theologians have a nice, logical answer to that, which is to propose the idea of co-creation. Which leads to some interesting philosophical discussions, if you're into that sort of thing, but it also sidesteps the point, which is, what do we need God for if we really do have free will?
