  1. Not this This
  2. This summer I was looking at K-5 schools for my kids (school ratings etc. You know, typical parent stuff.) Then my wife told me to look up sexual predators (wtf? lol - As a guy I would never think to do that.) I couldn't believe how many registered sex offenders are in areas! Even within 'good' school boundaries. And we supposedly live in a decent area. Some parts of the map look like they are infected with chicken pox. It's sad. Then she told me to look up colleges. The kids are a ways out from that, but happy wife happy life. I started looking at most of the colleges in TX. Alleged assaults galore. Fucking sad.. That was still fresh in my mind, then I ran across you and Doc talking. I cannot say I was ever a fan of Title IX. Now being a parent, if it helps provide a safer environment for kids, or improves safety, I'm for it.
  3. "Specific" could not be further from the truth. Parents or soon to be parents may want to take even greater note, because allegations of assault and poor handling of those allegations is a nationwide problem. There are currently +300 active investigations in colleges across the US. Dozens of institutions get accused each year of mishandling sexual assault allegations. Those problems are not limited to college, they extend down to K-12. So yeah, fuck baylor and hypocritical christians and whatever. Just don't deny the reality and scope of these issues, because they are broad.
  4. What's with San Diego and RB's? They produce more high level college RB's than any city I can think of. Terell Davis Ricky Williams Arian Foster Marcus Allen Reggie Bush Rashan Salaam Royce Freeman James Primus Robbie Rouse Michael Wiley *Marshall Faulk played for SDSU (was from La).
  5. Remember that punter from Pedophile U? He clearly hurts himself on the 2nd hit, but he clobbered that guy nonetheless
  6. I fucking hate Subaru. They need to be added to the poll. Fuck their shitty 2.5L motors that fucking blow up after 20k miles because they are under-torqued from the factory. Fuck those pieces of fucking shit dealers who try to tell you that you didn't put oil in there and that is why the motors fail. Fuck the corporate office that takes 5 months to tell you that they will pay for a new motor.
  7. Inspired by BBC Planet Earth - they make quality stuff (new take on prior post)
  8. Wasn't sure which header to go with
  9. I had thought of several different headers including "how to never get laid by a woman". Figured that not being able to get laid by anyone, neither man nor woman, is worse because that leaves farm animals
  10. aggy even though we'll be in the same conference again, they will always be left behind
  11. Why did you put tennessee in there? They haven't been good since 1998. For lsu, maybe we'll play them on the years they suck, which seems to be every other year
  12. I agree. It is what coach phatterson did at tcu, for years. Limit possessions and keep it close.
  13. I was looking at tape a couple days ago. Their WR's could not get separation vs tx st or utah. That certainly will not improve when playing us. Plus, they are playing a backup QB that is starting his 2nd game? Even if a WR gets open, who thinks their QB can get him the ball?
  14. I use a combination of stats, information (player injuries, game location etc) and watching teams before betting. For this particular matchup, I laid off due to a lack of data points. I know baylor is bad, but I'm not certain how bad, yet. For me, laying off happens quite a bit at the beginning of the season because the fewer the games, the less data we have. I'm also not impressed by our offensive efficiency. Plus this is also a road game - which increases (betting) risk. A key marker for me is comparable opponents (vague, I know but I won't get into detail on it) and we don't have that data either. If I step away from all of that, I'm certain we win and would not be surprised if it was 42-10. But I'm not going to lay down big coin on it.
  15. I spend a lot of time looking at our opponents and data (among other matchups) because I like to throw a few bucks here and there at games. When the line started it was at -8. That was free money but man that # jumped quick. You didn't say it outright, but you described it. They run the wide zone. It's all about OL movement and cutbacks by the RB's. They absolutely don't have a basher anymore, so that means their offense stalls often. Lots of stops at the LOS for an opposing defense. They cannot throw over the top because they don't have a WR that can run by people. I think their starter is hurt and that means even less throwing ability. As far as aranda - they are tied into a massive contract and kicking the shit out of them isn't going to change his employment status - but it will still be fun to do it. I missed -8 and laid off -15 for a number of reasons. Everything points to a +20 pt win and them scoring 10 or less.
  16. If that is real then the shit is out of control
  17. Outside of our game vs baylor the only b12 game that looks interesting to me this week is maybe ksu vs. ucf. I think the spread is -6.5. I may throw some ducats at that one
  18. Game day atmosphere is easy. Oil wrestling and beer bongs
  19. Yes Jules, Matt Campbell does look like a bitch
  20. Their offense is pathetic and the wheels are falling over there. I'd probably take all the way up to -17
  21. I was surprised when we scheduled wyoming for this year. I didn't know they still had a team
  22. All of the little programs (tcu, baylor, ksu) had their 5 year peaks in 2021 and 2022. Now that their 5th and 6th year covid seniors are all gone, time to start over
