  1. Anything learned in these practices is probably lost in the fog of bong rips and beer pong that will undoubtedly occur during the months of dead time between now and regular practice next year.
  2. What is the value, specifically? How do you measure it?
  3. I wish my wife would move to Washington.
  4. With roster turnover (1-3 - 1/4 of the bowl game roster won't be on the team next year) and a huge break between now and spring practice, I don't see the value, let alone a way to measure or quantify what the perceived gain is. I wonder if some programs are nerdy enough to track bowl game practices and extrapolate usable data from it to see if there are indeed gains.
  5. Maybe that's all it is for Colorado. It's a low risk high reward move. If he fails, its not a surprise and they already suck, so who cares, but they get the exposure of his hiring / coaching. If he shows even moderate success, that's just an added bonus.
  6. Outside of the CFP / NY6 games, I don't see how bowl games create a tangible value for a program. If anything they are a financial drain. You mention extra momentum and reps. Do you really think these bowl practices are going to be of some value considering our next game is on Sept 2, 2023?
  7. I haven't had my coffee today. With that said, I don't understand what you are trying to say.
  8. While we are stereotyping, only vegan queers dislike the NFL
  9. None of these college players were even alive when he was playing in the NFL. I assume most if not all of the hype is from the parents of players and recruits.
  10. They were 1-11 last year and I can tell you that they did not lose to USC 11 times..
  11. I could be wrong but I would think great views is at the top of the list depending on where you go to school, great views means something different
  12. The main problem with your idea is that it is logical.
  13. That's right. Fuck those morons that run the most successful sports league in the world. They don't know shit. The NFL needs to take take a flyer on how shit is done in college. Ditch that whole division-champ conference-champ playoff horseshit and just invite their 2 favorites to the superbowl each year
  14. I think the NFL should only invite the best 2 teams. Fuck all of that horse shit they do.
  15. You are right. Excluding conference champs makes sense. I think the AFC and NFC winners shouldn't be invited to the super bowl because they aren't as good as some of the other teams in their conference.
  16. Ah, they went through espn to do it and made it in 2014. never heard of it. for drama, they could have done all the anti-black stuff that kept them out of a bowl game.
  17. The most common argument I've seen from the past 15-20 years justifying the joke schedule is that the SEC is "so tough", they don't need to schedule teams with a pulse for OOC matchups. You know, it's just a gauntlet every week when you have to line up and play vanderbilt, kentucky, miss st, ole miss, auburn, missouri, tennessee and any of the other teams that are historically quite shitty, or at best average, in a given season.
  18. surprised the whores at disney didn't try to cash in on this story
  19. I'm not sure if that is an attempt at being witty, but you can't be that naive. It's an invitational. A group of people invite teams to play in games not sanctioned by the NCAA.
  20. Yeah it is. It's a group of people inviting who they like.
  21. They are going to be 7-5, tops, next year.
  22. Current system is a beauty pageant
  23. none, which is stated in the post you quoted.
  24. Incarnate Word vs. Tulane Fresno State vs. Troy
