  1. aggy even though we'll be in the same conference again, they will always be left behind
  2. Why did you put tennessee in there? They haven't been good since 1998. For lsu, maybe we'll play them on the years they suck, which seems to be every other year
  3. I agree. It is what coach phatterson did at tcu, for years. Limit possessions and keep it close.
  4. I was looking at tape a couple days ago. Their WR's could not get separation vs tx st or utah. That certainly will not improve when playing us. Plus, they are playing a backup QB that is starting his 2nd game? Even if a WR gets open, who thinks their QB can get him the ball?
  5. I use a combination of stats, information (player injuries, game location etc) and watching teams before betting. For this particular matchup, I laid off due to a lack of data points. I know baylor is bad, but I'm not certain how bad, yet. For me, laying off happens quite a bit at the beginning of the season because the fewer the games, the less data we have. I'm also not impressed by our offensive efficiency. Plus this is also a road game - which increases (betting) risk. A key marker for me is comparable opponents (vague, I know but I won't get into detail on it) and we don't have that data either. If I step away from all of that, I'm certain we win and would not be surprised if it was 42-10. But I'm not going to lay down big coin on it.
  6. I spend a lot of time looking at our opponents and data (among other matchups) because I like to throw a few bucks here and there at games. When the line started it was at -8. That was free money but man that # jumped quick. You didn't say it outright, but you described it. They run the wide zone. It's all about OL movement and cutbacks by the RB's. They absolutely don't have a basher anymore, so that means their offense stalls often. Lots of stops at the LOS for an opposing defense. They cannot throw over the top because they don't have a WR that can run by people. I think their starter is hurt and that means even less throwing ability. As far as aranda - they are tied into a massive contract and kicking the shit out of them isn't going to change his employment status - but it will still be fun to do it. I missed -8 and laid off -15 for a number of reasons. Everything points to a +20 pt win and them scoring 10 or less.
  7. If that is real then the shit is out of control
  8. Outside of our game vs baylor the only b12 game that looks interesting to me this week is maybe ksu vs. ucf. I think the spread is -6.5. I may throw some ducats at that one
  9. Game day atmosphere is easy. Oil wrestling and beer bongs
  10. Yes Jules, Matt Campbell does look like a bitch
  11. Their offense is pathetic and the wheels are falling over there. I'd probably take all the way up to -17
  12. I was surprised when we scheduled wyoming for this year. I didn't know they still had a team
  13. All of the little programs (tcu, baylor, ksu) had their 5 year peaks in 2021 and 2022. Now that their 5th and 6th year covid seniors are all gone, time to start over
  14. You just know what the spin is going to be on this. It cannot possibly be that the SEC or Georgia isn't good this year. If Scar keeps it close or wins : - sec is a week-in-week-out slugfest! Even unranked teams can take on the big dawgs! - Scar will enter the top 20. - Georgia drops to #8. Don't worry secsecsec fans! They have the gauntlet of UAB, Auburn, Kentucky and Vanderbilt coming up. That means they will be 6-1 and back in the top 5 by mid October - you know, where they should be. If Georgia wins: - sec is a week-in-week-out slugfest - Georgia earned this win against a gritty, tough (cough bullshit unranked fucking team on-the-fucking-road cough) opponent! - Scar put teams on notice! They will get some top 25 votes. - We will hear how no one, not even Georgia, can let up for a minute in the mighty conference* *Except for you know, the fact that Scar is unranked for a reason and up next are the mannequins at UAB, Auburn, Kentucky and Vanderbilt. Don't forget that war vs. Georgia Tech in November!
  15. Visitors to Lubbock should tread slowly because it is harder to see herpes at night
  16. I'm talking about road trips. If I'm going to spend the coin, I'd rather go see us play USC, UCLA, Oregon, Stanford, UW etc. There is a lot more to do and see vs the shit holes that most sec programs reside in. something to do before / after the usc or ucla game What the fuck do we do after playing ole miss? Go on a plantation tour? oh wait, here we go. We can go look at some fucking flowers
  17. Fuck the SEC, I have no association with any opponent in that conference. Most of our away games are going to be so damn far, it pretty much guarantees most of us will be missing 5-6 road games a year. My friends from high school scattered around Texas to different colleges and friends from college scattered even further. Going to a Big 12 road game was a great excuse to see those friends, talk some smack, make new memories. That's pretty much fucking gone with this SEC move. It's too bad that move to the PAC fell apart - it would have been a lot more fun playing in that conference.
  18. I would love to take care of these juggs
  19. Those alabama fans found out they weren't going to be able to fuck their cousins after the game. Someone was going to have to pay for that..
