  1. And stole their basketball coach. I think they're still pissed about that.
  2. This is the correct answer, right here.
  3. Ballad of Little Jo - A virtually unknown western starring Bo Hopkins about an eastern society woman in the late 19th century who moves to the west, changes her identity and lives as a man...based on a true story. The cinematography is beautifully stark, and there was just something about this film that drew me in. This Is My Father - Starring James Caan about an American high school teacher who travels to Ireland seeking to learn the story of his parents relationship. A moving story, told with generous bits of humor.
  4. Beat me to it...I was going to say, "Brian Jones may have been right, but Mick Taylor was a better guitar player."
  5. Industrious Fucktards...what a great band name.
  6. So, if we say that this story is complete bullshit because aggy won all 5 of their home games in 1907, can we still collect the $1 million?
  7. That's Red Turner on the left, and Tommy Shannon third from left, from Johnny Winter's old band. Of course, Tommy went on to play with Stevie again in Double Trouble.
  8. Barbarossa with Willie Nelson and Gary Busey. Great western that seems to have been lost and forgotten.
  9. Not sure about this, but I hear the secret ingredient is nutmeg.
  10. JFC, do you dickheads not read the whole thread? Mrhog addressed this in one of his first posts, and it has been reiterated several times in subsequent posts that he has Cerebral Palsy, and is typing as best as he can. He's contributing, and being respectful, and I don't think it's too much to ask to be respectful in return. A little awareness goes a long way.
  11. "As black students, we kind of feel as if it's not like our voices are heard," said Al-Nasser Lawal, a senior at the school and president of the UT-Austin chapter of the NAACP. As a graduate of the University of Texas, I am embarrassed that this sentence was spoken by a student at my Alma Mater. JFC, do schools no longer teach English grammar? Also, as others have pointed out, just because you didn't get the result you wanted doesn't mean you weren't heard. Welcome to Life, young man. The idea of trying to get the Federal government to force the University to change the school song because you find it offensive would be humorous if it wasn't so pathetic.
  12. WTF is this Mickey Mouse shit? Wasn't this put to bed last year? https://www.foxnews.com/us/texas-university-students-civil-rights-complaint-song
  13. Apologies for my ignorance, but this is the first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title:
  14. Do you mean the pictures of Earl and Ricky?
  15. LOL...Stephen "Tuffy" McGee. What an aggy douche...but I repeat myself.
  16. Yeah, I don't understand this at all. This was a nationally televised game on ABC, so there has to be video of it somewhere. You'd think LHN could work it into the rotation.

It doesn't matter how many times I see it and hear it, I always choke up when I watch 4th and 5 with Keith Jackson's call. Every freakin' time.
  18. I was sitting on about the 30 yard line on the east side of DKR for a Monday night game against Arkansas. ABC TV had moved the game to September 1 because they wanted the UT/Ark game to be the first televised game of the new decade. There was great energy on campus in the run up to this game, and anticipation for the new season. We destroyed piggie, in what started out to be a very promising, but ultimately disastrous season. I just realized that we are now exactly the same amount of time removed from that game, as that game was removed from Germany's invasion of Poland. No wonder the youngsters think I'm old...I am old...furk.
  19. Ok...so this one's just kind of hanging out there, waiting for someone to smash it. Any takers?
  20. Maybe it's the Kool-aid talking, but I'm thinking we exceed expectations this year. Turtle Tom could coach this team to 8-9 wins, and with our upgrade in coaching, and presumed upgrade in QB play and greater usage of our running game and overall upgrade in play calling, I'm feeling salty about this year. I don't see a guaranteed loss on our schedule, and I'm not as concerned about TCU, ISU, or OK State as some on here, although I guess any of them could be a loss. Winning can be contagious, and I think we're going into the OU game undefeated. My gut is telling me we don't lose more than 2, and I think we can do better than that. F it, I'm calling 10-1 and a trip to the Big XII title game...then again, PTSD tells me I may be disappointed.
  21. My family moved to Houston in 1970, and my dad worked in the then brand-new One Shell. We were all very proud of the fact that dad worked in "the tallest building west of the Mississippi".
  22. To think, I've been waiting 9 months to watch this.
