  1. Apologies if this has been addressed previously, but how come TCU gets to have their stadium full, but DF is still at 25% capacity? If we're going to host, that needs to change.
  2. Goddammit!!! That same pitch was called strike one, now it's called ball one.
  3. How can you just stand there and look at strike three?
  4. Time for some insurance
  5. Thank you Jersey Mike!!!
  6. A four pitch walk in which at least two of the pitches were strikes. This ump sucks.
  7. 'Horns are making solid contact but hitting right at the frogs.
  8. Those "Anything you can do, I can do better" Gatorade commercials can die in a fire.
  9. Remember in the 2003 season, when LSU defeated OU in the BCS championship game, thus making LSU the BCS college football champion for that year, but AP voted USC number one in their final poll? USC still tries to claim 2003 as a national championship, but they are the only ones who recognize it. I remember. Point is, I think at this point, AP and UPI post-season polls are irrelevant, and the playoffs determine the final rankings, at least for the top 4. Always possible I'm mistaken.
  10. Honorable mention??? I'm guessing you're not old enough to remember the SWC days. The Texas/Arkansas rivalry was every bit as heated and hate-filled as the OU rivalry, but with the added spice of conference championship (and occasional national championship) ramifications. Add to that the home-field atmosphere, and the fact that the game was traditionally played the week after the OU game, and you've got a college rivalry game that really takes a back seat to nobody. And fuck aggy. They never were anything more than annoying fucks who were fun to abuse on an annual basis.
  11. Hmmmm...the very picture of All Gas, No Brakes.
  12. Yeah, I always heard it was "ugliest guy on campus". Not one of UT's proudest moments, if true.
  13. Just looked at weather radar. Looks like Austin is in the bullseye, and might catch some heavy weather between midnight and 3 AM. Be safe, ya'll.
  14. Yeah, I think it's a combination of balls of steel and a really large telephoto lens. 3:08 is the more mind boggling image to me. It looks as if the tornado is coming down right on top of him.
  15. This seems like an appropriate place to drop this for weather nerds. This guy gets some fantastic shots of storm activity and tornadoes. Anyone else here follow him?
  16. My adolescent self would have wanted a giant magnifying glass and a sunny day.
  17. Crowd sound like it's getting a bit rowdy for a Tuesday game.
  18. LOL at right fielder...doesn't even try. Just looks up at the ball, turns around and walks back to his position.
  19. Yeah, I don't disagree with any of this. You said it better than I did.
  20. This man has become my favorite living guitarist. I admit I don't keep up with many of today's artists, but I'm not aware of anyone who plays this kind of music anymore, much less play it this well. And then there's this:
  21. This right here is the only correct answer. Any other opinions are wrong, and those who hold them should feel bad about themselves. This format would allow for the four traditional New Years Day bowl games (Rose, Cotton, Sugar and Orange) to serve as the first round of the playoffs, The remaining playoff games, and the championship game could be played at any rotation of NFL stadiums. Any teams making it to the championship game would be playing only one game more than they would be playing in the current format. Seems like it would make a lot more money for everyone all around also.
  22. I was going to post these exact sentiments. Clint is one of my favorite actors, but is quite limited. The Man With No Name...even when his character has a name, such as Harry Callahan, he is still playing The Man With No Name. It's a great character, and nobody plays it better than Clint. He's a pretty good director, too.
  23. Damn. I loved watching Bam Bam when I was a freshman. He wasn't real big, but was freakishly strong and quick. Watching him, and the rest of the defense, dominate Billy Sims in the 1979 oklahoma game is one of my great memories of Longhorn football. He always seemed a bit superhuman to me. Hopefully, with the rest of the time he has left on earth, he'll see how much he's loved. Hook 'em, Bam Bam.
  24. A discussion of MST3K, and no mention of any of the Christopher Reeves "Hercules" movies? You guys are slipping. These are hilarious.
