Regardless of what happens in this game, I'm guessing the Frogs will look like the 85 Bears in a couple weeks.
-
Well, that escalated quickly.

I still have a sour taste in my mouth from that game last week, but I love my 'Horns, so I'll play along:
FIGHT!

I cannot hit the mute button fast enough on the Mitsubishi rapper sales guy. Someone punch him, please.

From the comfort of my recliner in NoVa: TEXAS!!!!!

Congrats to you guys reppin' the 'Horns at the Nats game. Just got a shout out from the Nats' TV announcer, "Lots of burnt orange in town for the Texas/Maryland game tomorrow." I want to hear the Texas Fight chant now.

I'm guessing that there will be a lot more college recruiters and NFL scouts heading to Australia soon. Kids there grow up playing Aussie Rules, which requires a lot of directing the ball with kicks, so this is a skill set not unique to MD. Obviously he is great at what he does, but there is much more talent to be mined down under.

After messing around with various logos today, (which is much way more fun than working) I couldn't help but agree with TexasTroll. So, I created an entirely new and ownable logo. It's my personal fave. Also, I want to give a shout-out to @LonghornDesigns, who sent in some nice illustrations. Here is a lit Dri-Fit version:
I would like to produce these and make them available on an Etsy page to offset Surly operating costs and build the brand.
I like this design, but not sure about the tongue. Replacing the tongue with a cigar might be an improvement. Cigars are just socially unacceptable enough to fit just right with the Surly vibe.

Hey, this is cool. I used to be well-acquainted enough with TJ that my then girlfriend and I would sometimes play doubles raquetball with him and Mike Buchannan (#99, Defensive end). Nice guy, freakish athlete who probably should have gotten more playing time, although the secondary was stacked in the early 80s. Thanks for posting this.

Joined HF sometime around 2001. Never had any issues with the mods since I've always been an infrequent poster and mostly lurk. Moved over to Shaggy because it was funnier. Moved over here because an empty forum isn't funny at all.
It bears mentioning that your avatar is a part of HF legend. Perhaps the longest running thread in the history of the interwebs.
I joined HF sometime in late 1999 with the same handle, but mostly lurked...like I do here.

This is unhealthy and the UT fan equivalent of cutting oneself. I feel emotionally abused reading this and I'm reporting you to the authorities. Will your next post be about the 2001 Big 12 Championship game? What about the '84 Georgia game?

Nowhere near enough lateral speed for the bone. He was strictly a north/south guy.
Now, Donnie Little on the other hand...

Is there anything nice about the entire state of Ohio?
The roast pork shank at Schmidt's in German Village section of Columbus is awesome. Good selection of beers, too.

That 1990 cougar high game. The hype for Houston was unreal. Klingler was an absolute machine in the run and shoot. The loudest crowd in my memory in Austin. It was perfect.
Just watched this game on LHN. Coog just scored a TD with 24 seconds left in the game to make the score 45-24 Texas. Receiver and 2 team mates do a little victory dance in the end zone. Jerks.

Eat more Longhorns??? Indeed, and they can start with me...well, at least the chick in the middle can.

I absolutely hate the redskins, but Joe Jacoby belongs in the Hall of Fame. He was a key part of one of the NFL's most legendary offensive line units.

No. Yes
Some of the worst TV ever produced. Bad writing, bad acting, and the locations used do not remotely resemble Texas...but that's just, like my opinion, man.

Walmart Ring My Bell is pretty annoying.
Yeah, but it does remind me of freshman orientation in summer '79.

Let’s see there was:
Derp the Videographer
Squints
Concuss
Diesiel
Glassboy
and Bam Bam
Bam Bam??? You must be young. There was only one Bam Bam who played for Texas, and he didn't play QB...he crushed QBs, and RBs

As stated above, that BBQ looked DAF...and it also looked like it was slathered in sauce. It is depressing that these goobers get to represent the state.
