  1. I don't know how any of y'all can watch this fucker. I've reached maximum hatred/disgust levels and listening to or glancing at him makes me ill. Same goes for Vance, Elon, and really all MAGAts.
  2. One needs to be entirely ignorant of history to be an isolationist.
  3. We've effectively surrendered the Cold War decades after winning it.
  4. At least it's an ethos.
  5. What in the actual fuck is happening
  6. Nobody who voted Trump in 2024 is capable of listening to reason and changing their mind.
  7. Any red state governor would pardon anyone he tells them to. I wouldn't put it past some weak yellowbelly democratic governor doing the same for some kind of quid pro quo.
  8. I'm still in shock that this dumbass country elected a guy on his way to prison for things he did the first time he was elected, which is the only reason he was even running, is an obvious Russian asset, told us a lot of the bad shit he was gonna do, and I could go on for hours. Simply un fucking real.
  9. Many of them probably have a lot of investments in airlines. Oh and they don't give a shit about Americans, or anything other than keeping their seat and covering their ass. It's still unclear to me how the motivation to keep their seats hasn't really moved the needle yet, though. Maybe they figure free elections are a thing of the past anyway and just trying to not run afoul of der fuhrer.
  10. I have no idea how anyone can still be a conservative (under the current definition in America) at this point, but any such person with any synapses still firing will surely realize by the end of this term that: 1. late stage capitalism has fully gone off the rails and sucks ass for people who aren't wealthy, especially when the govt stops doing anything to regulate commerce for the greater gods inadequate billionaire oligarchs set policy and are above the law; 2. our campaign finance system is complete trash, especially when combined with #1 above; and 3. the federal bureaucracy actually did a lot of good things for people and most of the regulation we've developed over the centuries wasn't just wasteful red tape. Of course, it won't surprise me if few end up having the meager brainpower necessary to realize these things after the next 4 years of hell. But regardless of how many of them do, by then it'll be far too late to unfuck the country, the economy, our relationships with allies and global standing.
  11. The pace of shitty news and lack of any real opposition is truly terrifying.
  12. Haha this is amazing.
  13. War is peace.
  14. You could replace "NIH funding rollbacks" with most of the other things he's done so far and this sentence would still work.
  15. I've tried to not pay attention to anything govt or politics related since the inauguration. I feel silly for thinking that it'd be possible to steer clear of this shit show. Right now feels like the beginning of the last chapter for this country.
  16. Lol. I knew this administration was going to be the worst thing to ever happen to the country, but apparently even I failed to imagine just how fucked up even the most mundane aspects of government are going to be. I'm seriously going to have to avoid reading any news for the next 4 years or I will lose my mind and explode in rage.
  17. Dan Patrick is a fucking scoundrel who doesn't give a shit about this state. I'm so tired of Texas politics, it's just so depressing.
  18. Seems kinda fallacious to say that there's no reason to worry bc the fda has already done bad things.
  19. Isn't it incredible how consistently horrible it is? It's hard to account for why exactly that is.
  20. I don't know how anyone cares even a little about his initial cabinet picks. Every one of them will be fired and replaced before long, and the same goes for their replacements as well.
  21. It's always been about destroying the government to own the libs. Because they're proving government doesn't work, you see.
  22. This is going to be the most openly corrupt administration in history.
  23. I doubt it.
