  1. How many national championship chances did Stoops torpedo? Yeah, but how many after this one https://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore/_/gameId/400953412
  2. I know we're currently just shitting on things, but do we get all of them back next year? I'm assuming our preseason thoughts about Coburn getting drafted flew out the window.
  3. Portal baby! Pitch playing time to guys that have been around the block and value the opportunity Texas provides.
  4. Has anyone seen any reporting on the portal success around the country? Like which programs have taken the most and how they are doing. Probably not worth looking at until the end of the season, but I imagine some teams have added a lot of wins.
  5. I propose "hey recruits, Sark schemed a WR open and got him the ball on the run for the first time in 20 years come to texas."
  6. If we get Evan Stewart to pair with Worthy, it's going to forgive some deficiencies in other areas. I always look at the two deep on paper and want some sort of balance, but the reality is that building one elite unit can also be the way to attack things.
  7. I'm just giving you a hard time because you were a little condescending back in September. All in fun!
  8. They'll sign some good guys but competition is fierce for those elite DLs. Hard to hold onto all of them when Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, etc are involved. Shenanigans!
  9. I don't know if this is the right thread, but does anyone know what time Luka and the Mavs tip off tonight?
  10. "So far." Also, I think the Weigman thing has been covered. Ewers hadn't decided to enroll early when A&M took Weigman's commitment. Also, we appear to be chasing the Devin Brown kids who looks pretty good.
  11. This is the one thing I can't square. I respect Chris Petersen's bullshit meter and eye for coaching talent. PK's track record is great, and I don't think the Big 12 offenses are that special anymore. It doesn't add up. https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/uw-husky-football/how-pete-kwiatkowski-uws-evil-genius-coordinator-has-built-the-huskies-into-the-nations-no-1-defense/
  12. Exactly. My point was not looking at the GOAT for data unless that's the only way this hire is considered a success.
  13. Also, having leads to blow beats Herman and Strong's first seasons. Progress baby!
  14. Can we just never mention Saban again. No one is Saban. There are a lot of successful head coaches in college football. Can we look at their careers for data points?
