  1. I had posted this in Board Discussion before, but didn’t get any responses so I’ll try here. I think the Travel/Food forum has a potential to be replaced with a blog format and probably has the most original content. The Houston/San Antonio/Dallas/Austin food threads have a shit ton of content/suggestions, but nobody is re-reading the first 50 pages. They’re checking maybe the last 3. Having a way to go through that forum, use the necessary technology to count up the different amount of suggestions and making a top 10 list of places in each locale to check out with related user’s posts as a dropdown underneath would be much more user friendly. It would have a summary write up for the city/country visited and any user submitted content like photos or videos. Then it would break down into a list of most mentioned places underneath where the original content ends. The top 5-10 listed places/activities/restaurants would have highlighted submissions from our community. The list would change as more places are mentioned. If you could take the number of impressions/interactions and convince the business owners of highly regarded places for ads/deals to those places that may be an avenue. Going into a bbq place and mentioning muledick for 10% off would be fun.
  2. Phelan's Muslim "sin" was allowing a Muslim lawmaker to be sworn in using a Quran.
  3. We know you aren’t picking these at random, what site are you using to find this shit?
  4. I’ve been carrying 1000 shares of a cannabis ETF and have been getting extremely pissed that HHS and others keep missing their deadlines. It’s a goddamn report, get your figures out already
  5. So is there any property Stassneyhorn LLC should be scooping up?
  6. My dad had something similar happen when he was talking to my uncle on the phone a few months back. Started laughing too hard and fainted because short on breath. Had happened once before a few years back when he was coughing and had some respiratory illness, unfortunately when he fainted he rolled out of bed and hit his head in the corner of some drawers and got a concussion and trip to the emergency room. You did right by speaking with him about it. You have an idea of what it is or not know enough to discuss?
  7. PCE rotting away to 2.6% YOY and 3.2% at its core.
  8. How fun would it be to have a vote on a resolution, where those who don’t work in the A/C would get a 10% raise YOY. The Climate Change Makes Cents prop. I’d love to see the breakdown.
  9. Most kids losing Medicaid come from just nine states all led by Republicans https://www.axios.com/2023/12/19/children-health-insurance-medicaid-unwinding Sixty percent of kids who have lost Medicaid coverage this year came from just nine states, all of which are Republican-led, according to new data from the Biden administration. Driving the news: And the 10 states refusing the Affordable Care Act's expansion of Medicaid to low-income adults have disenrolled more kids than all of the expansion states combined, the administration also reported.
  10. Packard Bell with Prodigy was the first computer our family ever had. The San Diego Zoo CD was played every single day
  11. lol this is Giligin’s “sister bar”, I’m sure some of the same regulars there I’ve seen here. ”Thanks for calling Giligins, no we don’t have the midget bar any more” is something I’ve heard more than a few times
  12. I feel like Scottsdale is the best suburb because there is always something available to do, in a shorter time than others. Casino, bars, entertainment, hiking available within the city, golf, strip clubs, social/rec sports, and closer to dt Phoenix when you want to swing into the city for a sports game, (best spot for spring training imo). The whole town is seemingly made up of Midwest transplants who are incredibly inviting and fun to mix it up with, combined with rich/gorgeous SoCal women who stay behind after ASU, so everyone is social and willing to meet new people. Then there’s the third group of divorcees that made out well. wherever you pick, don’t adjust to asshole Arizona driving. The only place I consistently see people aggressively driving 60+ mph on city roads that are 45.
  13. Goddamn it guys, he’s trolling. This is literally what they ask Will Ferrel in Old School, just about biotechnology
  14. But not to piss anyone off, this is the only place I’ve seen people put real beef in chili my entire life.
  15. Ground beef w/potatoes, red beans and Fritos is the only way to make chili, most of y’all are fucking gross. Jalapeños, cheese, corn bread and sour cream are nice flairs.
  16. It’s Scottsdale and not fucking close. I don’t understand a lot of the previous answers. I dont know who these bored married Mormons are that keep trying to make Chandler a thing unless you are a pool parts manufacturer that keep you close to them, but you’ll end up in a throuple where the kid calls you “buddy”. Gilbert is fun in a “once a month” kind of way as a change up. Married people love Dierks Bentley bars.
  17. Don’t rely on it, don’t complain to older people who need it now, say Democrats have a plan to expand, and tell olds Republicans want to end it now. that’s all
  18. Republicans small donor base will continue to erode and the sugar daddies will disappear naturally(death). Yet, there’s always a new one (Elmo). Democrats embraced small donors but risk it with way too many fucking emails that shows how absurdly terrible their marketing/comms dept can be between sharing lists for states I’m not in, looking like phishing emails and not warming up IP addresses, doomsday messaging, and shitty grammar and punctuation in subject lines. One of these problems is easily fixable and a target of AI for marketing interactions. If/when Republicans lose Texas I dont know how they get it back. The presidential elections are closing the gap like crazy. My only worry is how bad a brain drain is going on now which last I saw was around 500k. Having 5 metro areas makes our state so unique and expensive. As much as some look at the Valley to get an idea of how Hispanics vote statewide, you completely ignore they are rural, religious population and the Houston suburbs have a higher number with different values than the entire Valley. Harris County, with old balls Whitmire and Chris Hollins’s brain can absolutely fuck shit up now, and I expect them to do something to catch TX Republicans flat footed and they (R) will need the courts to say “nuh uh” to a new feature. I’d expect an email campaign for IRS refunds to send notifications with a link to a print out site or something similar. Still waiting on numbers from motor vehicle registration as well. @reservedrights2023StassneyHorn productionsltd.
  19. Lol’d when the announcer told the other one “way to go” by getting her to cry. Reminded me of when Golf Channel asked Justin Thomas a question about his dead grandpa at the Players and made him cry
