  6. There's alot of snowbirds in Arizona whose grandkids are always at the pool in the afternoon. I'd like to drink a beer in peace but they keep hopping out of the pool and into the hot tub and back into the pool and it's really annoying and I'd like that to stop immediately. Someone please study this
  7. I’ve told him the Democrats have my votes as long as I’m alive, and when I’m dead too, gets him to laugh. If we’re in a truck together and he’s got it on talk radio he’ll tell me “the de-programming won’t last long” before changing the channel. My grandma was an executive secretary for the racing commission in the state and worked in a bunch of other areas in West Virginia and has a huge award from Manchin that hangs out in her closet for nobody to see. He’s a social conservative and a mixed bag fiscally, was a big believer in unions and that Nixon was going to win anyway so no harm no foul. As much I dick ride Biden in the yearly threads, that is me making fun of the FCHorn and other bozos of the world who put up the Hillary Clinton will never be President thread. I’m just way more committed than them. The only issues I care about religiously are expanding our safety net through Medicaid expansion and a public option, automatic voter registration at 18 with adequate early voting periods everywhere, and fighting back against gerrymanders. I work in fertility and women’s health now but don’t post a lot in those topics. Generally stay out of LGBTQ threads.
  8. Pretty sure my dad is going to be a Trump to RFK voter, so mission accomplished

  14. Also I’m glad you dickheads continue to elevate and respond to the bullshit posts on this thread that immediately follow positive posts. Bang up job. I hope all your chocolates are melted in your dumb fucking eggs. Do not respond to my above post. Just be better
  15. This was supposed to say Kansas, and not Ar-Kansas. I was on a plane. Plz forgive. Arkansas already expanded
  16. Wisconsin and Arkansas have expanded Medicaid but have legislatures that remove them from budget. Georgia has a work requirement that’s tripping things up. Mississippi Senate is trying to do similar. There’s going to be an attempt in FL to get on an initiative in 2026 I believe. Wyoming had their house pass it way back in 2021 but Senate tangled it up then and looks like it won’t happen anytime soon. They want a state specific public private partnership like Alabama will attempt this year. Texas is dumb.TN Governor is dumb. South Carolina has a waiver system that allowed them to expand coverage and Biden admin waived work requirement on them. Not technically Medicaid.
  17. Mississippi Senate, with a veto proof majority, has passed their own version of Medicaid expansion, after the MS House did the same with their own bill. Senate version is much less expansive and has a work requirement. Now comes the sausage making. https://mississippitoday.org/2024/03/28/mississippi-medicaid-expansion-senate-passes-legislature-work-requirement-hosemann/
  18. I think the no caffeine/coffee is because they’re diuretics and can make you dehydrated and send you back after you just emptied yourself out. He’s also 65 so no spring chicken
  19. Please post that in the charts with no discussion and context thread
  20. So when shown there has been 3x as much oil brought back, along with an explanation of why it isn’t being bought back as quickly to not shock prices upwards, we get some some lib statement about peak oil. We should all be happy this ruins congress’s plan of selling off oil at a later date to create more government programs.
  21. March 15,2024 The administration has so far bought back about 29.61 million barrels of domestically-produced crude oil, since the 2022 sales, it says. The DOE says it has also sped up the return of nearly 4 million barrels to the SPR from loans to oil companies. The pace of the buybacks has been slowed by planned maintenance at two of the four SPR sites, department officials have said. Quick buybacks of much larger volumes could also risk pushing up oil and gasoline prices ahead of the Nov. 5 presidential election, analysts have said. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said on Feb. 21 the U.S. was being careful not to do anything to remove supply from the market when prices might be high. … The U.S., which is producing oil at record volumes with more increases expected this year, has more crude in the SPR than required as a member of the Paris-based International Energy Agency, the West's energy watchdog. Under the agreement, the U.S. is required to hold 90 days' worth of net petroleum imports. https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/biden-administration-slowly-puts-oil-back-into-spr-emergency-stash-2024-01-04/
  22. Admin started buying back oil December 2022 after ending the selling in November 2022. It sold its reserves on avg for $96 and is buying back at an average at $75. Those are facts. They are doing it at profit. There has been exactly 1 day since the admin stopped releasing oil and has been in the market to buy back where intraday prices fell under $65. Also here are a couple of deleted Porterhouse posts. Didn't bother to include ones tyou would argue about. July 20,2022 was the last day oil has closed above $100.
