  5. https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/laws/advisory2020-05.shtml I voted in the primary election on March 3, 2020. Why did they ask if I wanted a Republican or Democratic ballot? The primary elections are two separate elections that occur on the same day. The elections are the method for both the Republican and Democratic parties to select their nominees for the general election in November. When a voter votes in a primary election or primary runoff election, they are affiliating with the party whose primary they are voting in. (§162.003). A voter who is affiliated with a political party is ineligible to become affiliated with another party during the same voting year. (§162.012). This means a voter cannot vote in both primary elections, or the primary election of one party and the runoff election of another party. Some counties will have joint primaries and/or the parties will share polling places. In a county where the Republican and Democratic parties are sharing polling places, the voter must identify the primary in which they would like to vote, in order to ensure they receive the correct ballot and are marked as voting in the correct primary election.

Remember this Super Tuesday when you’re trying to keep score of whether Paxtons guys, Abbots guys, or Phelan supporters come out on top, that Mississippi is going to pass Medicaid expansion with a full R state legislature by veto proof majorities, helping everyone in the state, and we’re just twiddling our thumbs
  12. Sharing an email from a real estate guy down there that got me excited about the Yucatan getting much better connected: Between the road paving project, new hospitals and medical facilities, gas stations north of the bridge, ferry/water taxi terminal, and additional Mexico water taxi routes it's better than ever to get in. New Water Taxi Route Connects San Pedro & Mexico On February 24th, a new ferry route was announced that connects San Pedro & Ambergris Caye, Belize, to Chetumal, Mexico. San Pedro Belize Express unveiled its latest addition, the Three Star Voyager vessel, marking a significant milestone in the connectivity between Belize & Mexico and expanding its service offerings. The ferry route (water taxi) enhances the travel experience between Belize and Mexico but also holds significant potential for boosting tourism in Belize and facilitating trade in the region. This new route also signifies a milestone in connectivity, improving not only transportation for tourism but also logistics. By providing a direct and efficient travel option, it opens up new avenues for economic cooperation and trade. The trip between Ambergris Caye & Chetumal will take customers quickly and smoothly from Ambergris Caye, Belize, to Chetumal, Mexico. The water taxi service will further increase tourism to Belize and Ambergris Caye, especially with the recent opening of the Tulum International Airport and the Tren Maya (Yucatan Express Train system). The Tren Maya (sometimes also Mayan Train or Maya Train) is a railway system that traverses the Yucatán Peninsula. The railway begins at Cancún International Airport and travels down to Chetumal and the Mexico/Belize border. New Water Taxi Terminal Connects San Pedro & Belize City There is a new water taxi terminal being built in the southern part of San Pedro Town, which will relieve a lot of the downtown traffic and improve accessibility from Belize City to San Pedro & Ambergris Caye. The new Water Taxi Terminal has started constructing the boat terminal south of downtown San Pedro along Coconut Drive. The project will be completed this year and is already well underway. This new boat terminal also has a seafront extension, an area for parking, unloading, loading, and dropping off passengers Road Pavements and Gas Stations A new gas station north of the bridge is complete and construction of another starting in Secret Beach.

  15. It’s something like 5.3% of the US workforce has multiple jobs. I’m looking for more remote work even though I live comfortably now because speeding up retirement by investing as much as possible is something I want to do.
  16. In case some of you haven’t picked up hybrid or remote work, there’s some results of of UK that you won’t believe!!! https://abcnews.go.com/amp/Business/4-day-workweek-work-companies-share-results-after/story?id=107635577 One year after 61 U.K. companies opted to participate in a four-day week pilot study, 89% of the companies continued to keep the structure in place. They’re working 32 hours over 4 days, with no reduction in pay After one year, 51% of the companies have decided to implement the four-day workweek permanently and 89% have decided to continue the structure through the year. In a follow-up survey with the participating companies' managers and CEOs, 100% reported that the four-day week had a "positive" or "very positive" impact on their organization, according to the study. When researchers asked what the four-day structure had changed, 82% of surveyed companies reported positive impacts on staff well-being. 50% saw positive effects on reducing staff turnover and 32% said the policy had noticeably improved their recruitment, the study reports.
  17. Is there anyone here, who after hearing the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closed again at all time highs, would like to be the first to congratulate Ol’ Two Scoops on designing, assembling, and creating the greatest economy men have ever devised? Rome and the aqueducts, France and blowjobs, Texas and the Astrodome. Time to add Joe Biden’s economy to the list
