  1. Yep. That tells me it's not wish casting, but realistic expectations. Reporters throwing shit at the wall wouldn't come up with K-State.
  2. Might as well jump in before closing time...I was holding out hope for a 10 coach rollout to prove last night was a masterful troll job, but alas, 9 names said it was real. Nevertheless, Sark and CDC did show themselves to be nothing if not teachable. Now we have what looks like a nice blend of talent, names, experience, and potential to really have a lot of fun around here for a change. Hook 'Em!!
  3. https://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/1156576-dave-filoni-teases-ahsoka-tanos-mandalorian-timeline
  4. Filoni has addressed that since her appearance in live action because there was confusion, naturally. She appeared in white at the very end of Rebels and it was always assumed it was right after Yavin. Dave recently said "it was possible" that it occurred after the events of Mando 2. That was before the investor announcement of the new Ahsoka show, so it seems like a a foregone conclusion now.
  5. No, he's got it exactly right. Filoni has made explicit comparisons between Gandolf and Ahsoka many times. Ahsoka the Grey and Ahsoka the White are very deliberate concepts. I'm sort of expecting a "resurrection" of sorts that leads to a character change for her before she reunites with Sabine. I agree that nothing is throwaway for him.
  6. I was commenting to the wife that shows like this walk a fine line with the acting where it's hard to know if a character is bad at hiding their actions in the story, or if the actor isn't up to the job. Same with the dialog. It's not until more of the story is revealed that you can look back and realize that it was story driven, not bad acting.
  7. I really know fuckall about central banks and monetary policy, but that kind of explicit language tells me they are scared shitless about the problems in the system and are very afraid of deflation. This whole thing could be a lot worse than it may appear on the surface. Covid was just the proverbial black swan that lands on the house of cards.
  8. That's what I'm getting too, but it doesn't square with his actions where he's actually helping him break rules of competition. Does Briles have a Jim Jonesian level of charisma with these rubes where they believe wrong is right because he says so? (reply to texifornia)
  9. So, after writing a heartfelt, soul-searching foreword for a book that finally tells the truth about poor ol' CAB's trials and tribulations, Panther Steelcock personally helps Briles continue his cheating ways. I truly wonder, in his mind, is he complicit in the cheating or does he really view himself as a "relative" to these kids helping them out of some sort of situation? If it is cheating, does he equivocate it by telling himself that everyone accuses Briles of doing it anyway? I just can't tell if all of these people are cynical bullshitters winking at each other all the while or if they're truly this blind to reality.
  10. He bobbled it off of his chest in mid-air. As he was hauling it in, the defenders clobbered him. It never hit the ground.
  11. Lolol!! Welcome home young man! Hook 'Em!
  12. Welcome home young man! Hook "Em!!
  13. NK didn't bring the winter. The NK was waiting on a deep, long-lasting winter to gather strength and march an army of rotting corpses south. It's gonna get cold no matter what.
