  1. This game had a weird ending. Prosper is Down 10 with about 45 secs left and Rockwall has the ball at the Prosper 2 yardline. Prosper lets like 30 secs run off the clock and calls a timeout with 9 secs left. Rockwall then throws a jump ball to their stud receiver who catches a TD and Rockwall wins by 17. After the game some of the Prosper coaches didn't shake the Rockwall coaches hands in the line and a Rockwall coach and Propser coach were yelling at eachother mid field. Mike Roach got a video of it and it's floating out there on twitter somewhere. My two cents- If you don't want Rockwall to score again, don't call timeout.
  2. Naw just a fan of watching good HS football. I've grown up in DFW and I loved watching the Celina's, Argyle's, Aledo's, Southlake's, Allen's of the world play football. Their product they put on the field is just far and away better to watch. Except this year with Allen getting knocked out in Round 2 lolololol. I just dont get all the hate. It's like hating on Bama or the Patriots. Good ball is good ball and I appreciate that.
  3. Valid points. Frisco schools go through cycles, the newer schools tend to do well for a few years, and fall back into suckville while Lonestar keeps competing.
  4. 1) Quick google search.... Plano: White: 67.02% Asian: 19.39% Black or African American: 8.29% Allen: White: 63% Asian: 17.1% Black or African American: 5.9% 3) Cool, so the 3* QB who lost his scholly to Oregon, moved to Allen, lost out to an Ivy league QB, and went to Minnesota as a TE
  5. As a TEA employee you can work in any district in the state and your kids can go to school where you work, no questions asked, but maybe a little extra paper work to fill out during enrollment. So if your friend was registered to work in the state of texas he should've had no problem getting his son into his school.
  6. I'll play along....Lets break this down: "They have 7000 kids at one high school, and that isn’t an exaggeration." - Ok, the 3 Plano's have 1k less and they all suck at football. How do you explain that? I live in Frisco, where we have 10 schools and all but one are god awful. And our numbers of athletic participation (especially football) decrease every year, yet out district is still growing... "The only reason the school is like that is so they can field the best football team possible. Academic & social environment & giving the most kids possible a chance at participating in extracurricular activities be damned." - This is 100% false. You think the only sport, club, extracurricular activity at Allen is football? Their schools, and facilities, and programs beat out most colleges. Remember, this is coming from someone who lives in Frisco. We have nice schools, but they don't come close to Allens. "Also, their football team recruits and adds transfers in like crazy. Kyler Murray was one of those kids to top it off. In short, the school is pretty much an embodiment of all the worst elements of high school/youth sports in our society." - Good football programs recruit themselves. If you think kids don't move for athletic purposes to other schools you are crazy. In Ft. Worth they move to Aledo, in Frisco they move to Lonestar. Shoot there are tons of districts in the state that have "open enrollment" and "school choice" where you can live outside the school boundaries and still go to whatever school you want (Katy ISD- looking at you Katy HS). Also whens the last time a 5* or 4* has transferred into Allen during HS? The last one was Kyler Murray. If you're from around this area you actually hear more about athletes leaving Allen than you do moving there.
  7. I've never understood all the Allen hate. Who cares?
  8. District alignment wont happen until Feb 1st I believe.
  9. Shadow Creek up to 6A next year. They were 5A runner ups last year and currently making a run at it again this year. They better win it this year.
  10. Longview drops to 5A.... thats crazy. They will be tough to beat in 5A
  11. Good luck vs the Liberty Hill slot T
  12. Very true, knowing they struggled last week is a wake up call and Coach Jo will definitely have those boys locked in. We'll see if Ridge Point found the blue print at stopping them and if Cy Fair and do it. It's going to be a battle. Cy Fair's RB is the real deal. Also Katy was banged up last week, interesting to see if they bounce back healthy or limp into this game bc of injuries.
  13. Their QB is legit, hes just a sophomore I believe and if he keep improving he's on track to be the #1 QB in the nation for his class. But they struggle against speed. Their about to see the fastest team they've faced all year. We will see what they are made of today.
  14. I will be at AT&T stadium tomorrow to catch the double header of Desoto vs SLC and Rockwall vs Allen. Excited to see Quinn Ewers up close, however I think Desoto upsets them.
  15. I agree with most of your picks, but with Katy barely squeaking by their first round game with Ridge Point I'm going to call an upset and say Cy-Fair beats them
  16. 6A D1 Region 3 is absolutely loaded: Katy (11-0) vs Cy Fair (11-0) North Shore (10-1) vs Dawson (10-1) Cy Falls (10-1) vs Tompkins (10-1) Atascocita (10-1) vs Dickinson (10-1) That's some crazy Round 2 match-ups. Who yall got in those games?
  17. Allen HS football lost a young man Saturday night to a senseless drive-by shooting. He was a great kid.
