Natasha Bertrand twitter, references a Forbes release
Sorry for the lack of response, was dealing with Idaho earthquake issues. Thanks to all that posted link. Looks like Natasha was wrong in saying this happened yesterday, article is based on events that occurred last week.

Holy shit....280 million masks from US warehouses were sold to foreign countries yesterday. And our doctors and nurses are dying due to lack of PPE.

Thankfully I have a wife that loves to sleep in cold rooms. Two window cross breeze, 6" goose down winter comforter, and a knee cap peeking out, all's good. Was 48 degrees in the bedroom when I woke. Only problem - she's so damn small you can't tell that she's under the comforter. Could be worse....

Has anyone posted the San Francisco stuff in the past hour? Six Bay Area counties are instigating shelter in place. 7 million people can leave home only for essentials until April 7. Essential businesses like docs and grocery stores stay open.
Well, kind of.....a good friend of mine works for a company that has 3 car dealerships in Silicon Valley, and more in Southern Cal. They have determined that their service departments qualify as "essential services" and will remain open. The almighty dollar...

Absentee ballots. The California Secretary of State was so pissed off at the polling place waiting times last primary he said they would mail absentee ballots to all eligible voters.

Remember much of Trump phenomenon was anti-Hillary/Obama. Biden can be tagged with that.
Well, at least the anti-Obama phenomenon wasn't race driven....

You wouldn't necessarily think so because it's in an off-the-beaten path location and it has such a plain name, but Monterey's Fish House is definitely my favorite seafood restaurant here. It's the kind of place where you wish every plate the wait staff comes by with were headed to your table. Unfortunately I didn't know of this restaurant sooner. But I've been spending time here this month and could eat there every day.
This is on point...been going to Monterey for decades, Monterey Fish House for 3 years....have no idea what took me so long. Locals spot. Get reservations. Bar-B-Que oysters are the bomb!

I was there too, except it was at the Coliseum. As was Neuheisel's 50-0 pasting. I'm a glutton for punishment.
Okay, then I've got the wrong pasting....mine was @ the Rose Bowl...
Edit - Was the 2002 game, which was "only" 52-21....great birthday present....

UCLA then ended the season getting pasted something like 66-17 by USC.
Yup...Left my wife and mom in the Rose Bowl about half way into the third quarter, and went out to the truck to drain the bar...
Wife drove home.

No, Caltech, actually....

Had my first taste of Weller 12 at my neighbors house last night. Very nice, but I just about choked when I saw the $229.99 price tag on the bottle. Guys a PhD...

Done a bit of research and have seen several options for other activities, but curious if anyone here has recs for stuff to do that time of year.
Virginia City is a touristic old western town down the hill in Nevada, and you can float the Truckee River....can't call it whitewater rafting. Truckee has good fly fishing. Patagonia outlet down the hill in Sparks, next to Reno...I always stop in when I'm passing through, never leave empty handed.

Those floors are very common in older production buildings/warehouses - bombproof, but provides some give in regards to foot traffic.

What does the Ohio bottle look like? The $50 bottles have a gold cap.
The old bottles have a red cap.
Ohio $$4.95 bottles have the gold foil with a cork. The California Total Wine $22.95 bottles have red plastic wrap with a screw top.

In August, I bought OWA in Ohio for $44.95, and in California for $22.95, both @ MSRP, which I thought weird....

Haven’t kept up with the thread. Is it true that all air traffic was grounded but they gave this bird permission anyway, for a basketball game?
No.

A dive would only make sense if there was a mechanical failure.
Or he did a steep 180 turn which puts the rotors vertical instead of horizontal, which cause the chopper to lose lift...

Is the age of the copter a factor in the crash?
Same pilots noted that newer birds had better navigation abilities due to more recent technologies...

Some chopper pilots on a professional pilots forum are expressing puzzlement that a person worth half a billion would be flying in a 29 year old bird.

Wow...the cork has had a reputation for being one of the more laid back California housing units...
