  1. I can’t give you an opinion on the battery models, although I’m suspicious of them. Looks like the lowest ratings for the trimmers are for the cheaper battery models. One you start getting up in price, you might as well buy a gas trimmer. I have the FS 70 R, it’s the cheapest “professional” model. I’ve had it for at least 3 years, fires up like a champ each and every time. If you buy a six pack of their oil (six years worth) they will double the warranty. I always change the gasoline mix in the gallon gas can in the Spring. A fresh batch of fuel mix yearly will keep the engine clean and water free.

  8. maybe not quite dead/comatose... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2020/08/26/north-korean-leader-calls-coronavirus-prevention-help-typhoon/ In a rare display of urgency, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un held his third high-level political conference in as many weeks, where he raised alarm about the nation's coronavirus response and a typhoon forecast to hit the country early Thursday. During an enlarged meeting of the Politburo of the ruling Workers' Party on Tuesday, Kim lamented unspecified "defects" and "shortcomings" in the country's' anti-virus campaign and urged that they be corrected swiftly, according to the North's official Korean Central News Agency on Wednesday.

My first concert was seeing Tanya Tucker at SF. Mom went with me while the rest of the family lurked in the hotel after a full day of tromping around the place. Turns out SF has been the source of more than one rite of passage for me.
  14. It appears JFK Jr. won't be Trump's VP running mate this time around.
  15. Wasn't too hard to find. I always fear that the these challenges never contain the object that you're looking for.

Grew up about 120 miles away from Six Flags. One of my junior high classmates dad was a Greyhound Bus driver. So her hustle would be to organize a charter bus trip to six flags once a year. The action happened on the bus ride back home. First time I made out with a girl. A few others did more "advanced" activities. If my mother knew what went on...
  17. Well if comes from the NY Post, it's gotta be correct.
  18. He's gonna pull all sorts of shit the week of the election. Covid cure, baseless voter fraud allegations, future government handouts that he has no authority to enact, wild-ass Biden accusations, etc. Of course he does all this now, but it will be done in spades leading up to election day.

I remember being fascinated by the Spindletop, where people lined up against the wall in a circular room. The room started rotating and the centrifugal force kept you pinned to the wall as the floor dropped several feet. The second time I did it a few years later I almost blew beets. No more Spindletop for young Matuka.
  20. He seemed like the consummate professional in the earlier part of his career. I wonder if he has touch of CTE.

  23. He had an early season ending injury while trying to get a long term deal. Flipped him off from the mobile stretcher.
  24. After my 4th grade school year, I was watching my Dad mow the lawn. I foolishly asked if I could try a couple of laps. Dad never mowed the lawn again.
