  1. anyone violating the order will be put to death...again
  2. What an attention whore
  3. I'm not a tequila expert nor a regular consumer of ranch water, but my thoughts are as follow. Use a white/blanco tequila for ranch water While I wouldn't use the cheapest of the cheap stuff for ranch water, margaritas or other tequila based cocktails, I wouldn't use top of the line tequila either. As long as it's 100% blue agave, you should be fine. I agree, Don Julio is ok, nothing special. I'll have a shot of Milagro - Silver at my neighborhood Mexican restaurant because they don't have mezcal. It's a nice, clean tasting tequila.
  4. Maybe a stupid question, but is it smoky like mezcal?
  5. Sir, I'm going to have to ask you retract that statement. That there bottle of mezcal is signed and numbered!!
  6. It's a little outside of Condesa, but not too far...cool bar with eats. Felina https://goo.gl/maps/9GFKTZYfecG3hhLGA?coh=178572&entry=tt
  7. Not a restaurant, but there is a famous torta stand in southern Condesa that’s pretty good, La Esquina de Chilaquil, 139 Alfonso Reyes. La Chinampa was a restaurant/taqueria that was pretty good. Nothing fancy by American standards, but a decent place to get a taco. A lot of Argentine restaurants in CDMX, we went to one in Roma for convenience, it was really good and then another one that was close to our apartment out of convenience for a snack. Went to the infamous Pujol in Polanco, mixed feelings on that place. Mexico is a country where I’ve found the best food is from a cheap, humble stand or restaurant. Had some damn fine tacos de canasta outside the Metro station in Chapultepec Park, spent a couple bucks for two people. And if you are in La Condesa on a Friday, they have a Friday market with lots of nice treats to eat. Buen Provecho!
  8. Too bad he quickly developed bone spurs. He would have dazzled the NVA in Nam.
  9. She hasn’t been called that since she was in the Merchant Marines.
  10. He may hate Trump, but the grift is stronger if he at least temporally plays nice with him. It’s the Trumpers who are especially outraged by all of this.
  11. per Forbes & USA Today: September 7, 2022Lemon was criticized for askingCNN political commentator S.E. Cupp if she was suffering from “mommy brain” and losing their “train of thought.” Is it fair to say this, because I’m not a mommy, but is it mommy brain?" he asked Cupp. Cupp replied, "No, Don. I just forgot what I was going to say." December 1, 2022Lemon was heavily criticized for sexist on-screen comments about the gender pay gap in professional sports, in which he claimed players on the men’s U.S. soccer team earn more than their female counterparts because “people are more interested in the men,” and insisted he is not inherently sexist because he grew up in a house with women. February 16, 2023Lemon was suspended from CNN This Morning after claiming 2024 GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley—who argued older politicians should face mental competency tests—“isn’t in her prime” because “a woman is considered to be in her prime in her 20s and 30s, and maybe 40s”— In 2014, Lemon suggested to actress Joan Tarshis who alleged sexual assault by Bill Cosby during an interview how she might've avoided being raped."You – you know, there are ways not to perform oral sex if you didn't want to do it," he told her on air. Tarshis responded: "Oh. Um, I was kind of stoned at the time, and quite honestly, that didn't even enter my mind. Now I wish it would have."Lemon later apologized. Now not on the level of Tucker, but he just seemed a little smarmy and pompous to me.
  12. Agree. Don is an asshole and has said some questionable stuff, but that interview wasn’t one of them. That being said, I’m glad he’s gone.
  13. Was curious so I checked out his feed. Might do Greggo some good to get out and get some fresh air.
  14. That can’t be Marge, she’s got five toes on each foot.
  15. Always wondered what happened to Listeater, now I know.
  16. And… picked this up earlier this week. I’ve tried a cheaper Del Maguey (Vida) variety at a local restaurant and it’s not bad. Anxious to try this variety out.
  17. Trying to make up for my lack of mezcal reviews, I really appreciate all of y’all’s… Finally got around to trying the Cuero Viejo that I bought in CDMX last year, was waiting for a special occasion. It’s really nice, clean but complex if that makes any sense. Distilled in Durango, instead of Oaxaca where most mezcal is distilled. Recommend if you are around the Roma Sur neighborhood in CDMX and can stop by MisMezcales.
  18. Thanks for the link Greenspoint, this confirms what I’ve suspected (and been pointed out to me, including you) that there is a lot of additives out there in the US tequila world. Was at a bar last year and wanted a nice shot of mezcal or tequila. They didn’t have any mezcal and not much of a tequila selection. They recommended Casamigos, the one George Clooney is part owner of. So I violated my own rule of not drinking celebrity booze and had a shot. It was dark and tasted sickly sweet. So I’ve been leery of a lot of tequila brands since then.
