  1. It's not like he's doing exactly what a KGB asset would be doing, or anything. I, too, share your incredulity.
  2. That's... Not what the article says? These are bonus stock payouts and incentives to the executives, on the order of 75-200% of their base pay
  3. This is as good a thread as any for this: Former Intelligence Officer Claims KGB Recruited Trump Alnur Mussayev, 71, a former head of intelligence in Kazakhstan and before that a Soviet KGB officer, made the explosive claim in a Facebook post on Thursday. He claimed that he served in the 6th Directorate of the KGB in Moscow, which was responsible for counter-intelligence support within the economy. One of its key objectives, he claimed, was “recruiting businessmen from capitalist countries.” ... Mussayev wrote that in 1987 “our directorate recruited Donald Trump, a 40-year-old American businessman, under the pseudonym Krasnov.” He offered no corroborating evidence, but is a well-known former senior intelligence agent. The Daily Beast has reached out to him for comment. In his Facebook post, he said that his department specialized in recruiting spies and intelligence sources from the West, asserting once again that Trump had been brought into the fold. He made another shocking allegation in another comment, saying: “Today, the personal file of resident ‘Krasnov’ has been removed from the FSB. It is being privately managed by one of Putin’s close associates.”
  4. Just to really put a cherry on top, elon's personal security detail has been deputized by the US Marshalls now. If you make him mad on twitter, he can legitimately dispatch armed federal agents on you. https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/20/politics/elon-musk-private-security-deputized-marshals-service/index.html The US Marshals Service has deputized members of Elon Musk’s private security detail, giving them certain rights and protections of federal law enforcement agents, three law enforcement officials familiar with the matter told CNN. It was not immediately clear how many members of Musk’s security team were made special deputies. Musk, the tech billionaire and ally of President Donald Trump, does not currently have a US Secret Service detail – meaning members of his personal security detail were limited in what they could do in Washington, DC. Now that members have been deputized, they have more rights and could be authorized to carry weapons on federal grounds. It also means that if something went awry with the detail, the Marshals Service could be held legally liable, one law enforcement source said.
  5. Huh Macklemore is still making music? Nails the current vibe, tbh
  6. not as generous as their executive packages, now that they've got all this free money to throw around after cutting off those loser dead weight low performers amirite? https://www.businessinsider.com/meta-approves-bonuses-executives-amid-layoffs-2025-2
  7. I'm getting big "Judas steer" vibes from Rubio. He's being put out there to identify those who do not align with the Leaders wishes, so they can be more easily purged later.
  8. You should stop using the phrase "normally" when it comes to our judicial proceedings. There is no law. Your vocation has been made irrelevant in a world where Calvinball is the law of the land. All that really matters is what happens and how we react to it. There's no more rules or standards or procedures. Everything is on the table. Wake up and smell the ashes.
  9. Yes. This is how the paramilitary force that's answerable only to the Party and the Leader gets directed. The footsoldiers were already identified as Jan6 attackers, they just need command and control now.
  10. This is how trump staffs up his brownshirts. People who don't care about the law, and are protected from the consequences of breaking the law and harming others.
  11. They're probably toasting eachother, celebrating that their child is just like them
  12. It's not a matter of scientific or technical issue though? trump's DOJ had their facts wrong. People do exist with something besides XX/XY. What sort of fucked up world are we in when empirical facts are now a "technical issue"? That kind of lawyer-brain of acting like every detail is negotiable is how we end up in this goddamn mess
  13. I'm not even joking, there's rumors going around originating from Grimes that Elon has a botched penis enlargement. Which would definitely explain a lot of his rage at the world and society. This is 100% pure unsubstantiated rumor, but I'll be goddamned if it doesn't make everything make sense with him
  14. Hey man, those lifted and stanced F350s aren't gonna run cyclists off the roads on their own
  15. Also the postal services face is being eaten https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2025/02/20/trump-usps-takeover-dejoy/ How does Article I go again? Something about Congress having the power to establish post offices and post roads? Ah, well, nevertheless.
  16. Wow we're getting to the brown shirt phase hella fast https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/20/politics/elon-musk-private-security-deputized-marshals-service/index.html The US Marshals Service has deputized members of Elon Musk’s private security detail, giving them certain rights and protections of federal law enforcement agents, three law enforcement officials familiar with the matter told CNN. 17. LHB calls Texas Fight as "Taps", and when we're letting our nuts hang we play taps in one to end the game 🤘
  18. Ho ho ho holy shit that's gonna be a doozie to our business community
  19. Basically all of the stock markets growth for a couple years has been speculative and based on LLMs and AI being as impactful as the advent of digital computing. The tech is useful, but they are not the magic beans that have been bought and sold and inflated And basically all of our economic systems REQUIRE the line to go up. There's a titanic corporate debt bubble coming down the pike if they can't just keep refinancing on a larger market cap basis like they have been for a few decades now
  20. I frame, you frame, he, she, we frame
  21. We don't have a centerpoint thread, but wouldn't you know it, they had their most profitable year EVER last year while failing to deliver power to 2.2 million Houstonians for days https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/energy/article/centerpoint-energy-reports-1-billion-profits-2024-20163633.php CenterPoint reported a profit of more than $1 billion in 2024, despite widespread outages after the May derecho and July’s Hurricane Beryl. That’s an increase of $152 million from the company’s reported profits in 2023, and similar to its reported profits in 2022. In the fourth quarter of 2024, CenterPoint reported a profit of $248 million, an increase of $56 million from the same period last year. ... Much of the company’s profitability is concentrated in its Houston-area businesses. Indeed, CenterPoint's earnings are expected to continue booming in the coming years as the Houston metro’s demand for electricity increases at a “truly remarkable” pace, CEO Jason Wells told investors and analysts during the company’s earnings call Thursday morning.
  22. So is this thread just for videos of Russians getting killed? The discussion and velocity of posts went to zero as America has increasingly played the role of backstabbing ally to Ukraine. This is pretty important news, arguably more impactful than opening a new front or liquidating 10,000 norks It seems like this is all a reaction to Zelensky refusing to sign his nation's mineral wealth over to trump. Same sort of extortion attempt we've seen from trump aimed at Zelensky as before.
  23. The newest Indiana Jones game is also excellent for that. You can beat up a whole shitload of fascists and nazis
  24. Trump Gave Europe Three Weeks to Sign Off on Ukraine 'Surrender': MEP President Donald Trump gave Europe three weeks to sign off on terms for Ukraine's "surrender" to Russia, a member of the European Parliament (MEP) claimed. Newsweek has contacted the White House for comment by email. ... In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Finland's Mika Aaltola of the European People's Party claimed that the U.S. "has given us three weeks to agree on terms for Ukraine's surrender," referring to a proposed peace deal aimed at ending the war. "If we don't, the United States will withdraw from Europe," Aaltola added. He didn't provide evidence for his claims. NBC News, citing U.S. officials, reported that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told Ukrainian officials in a closed-door meeting that Washington may significantly reduce its troop presence in Europe. The report is based on sources with knowledge of private discussions between the Trump administration and the Ukrainian government.
