  1. Betcha a $20 burnt ends donation there's not another round of this strike in January
  2. Wow I was surprised they picked up the flag, but replay showed all shoulder contact
  3. It's a mobile 4080, which is considerably less powerful than a desktop chip mainly due to a smaller power budget. It lands between a desktop 3080 and 4070 in terms of power And honestly with what I've been seeing with the new mobile Intel chips, those may be worth waiting. Full x86 instruction set but ARM power budget
  4. I mean, I do believe there could be a business plan somewhere in BlackRock to pilfer mineral rights from resident landowners
  5. That was three days ago, before the strike had been resolved thanks to the leadership from the secretary of transportation. The thread has moved on but if you want to pick a fight over a three day old post, that's a no for me dawg
  6. There's a more appropriate thread to talk about unions and wether or not you think your employees have a personal right to safety, but it's probably not in DT because that's somehow an inherently political discussion
  7. That's some really insightful stuff, and helps me to better understand the growth the team has had under Sark. Very awesome, I hope you continue writing about this team and team dynamics
  8. You know how those WilCo people can be, they tend to get excited pretty easily whenever the talky talk people on TV say they should be
  9. I think this was a litmus test from the shipping companies to see where the Biden admin stood - if he would crush this strike like he did the rail workers on behalf of the rail lines. Now that they know which way the wind is blowing, they're probably less likely to let their labor contract lapse without a plan
  10. Like I said, call your rep. The staffers I spoke to also got the alerts and didn't sound happy about it, so there's a decent chance it'll actually hit their desk and they'll push from their position
  11. Not joking, y'all should call your local state reps and bitch to them about this https://wrm.capitol.texas.gov/home This isn't partisan, it's an abuse of our emergency system
  12. Because this topic is not brought in good faith. It's another front in the culture war against those that the right would rather not exist.
  13. Wow so that music festival is ran by shitheads. Or at least their advertising team is full of shitheads. One of their digital ads (in spoiler) kind of says it all
  14. Credit where it's due to the secretary of transportation
  15. It's an abuse of the emergency system by our states shitty leadership. They want to build the narrative that cops are persecuted and need mo monies to buy toys to go murder people under false pretenses and falsified warrants. What better way to do that than wake everyone the fuck up at 5am on Friday???
  16. Yeah, and the republicans are no shit working up to a final solution for trans people. They want to send them to fucking conversion abuse camps as children and then persecute them and force them out of participation in society as legal adults. Ken Paxton is literally collecting drivers license information of people who have changed their gender. Just to keep tabs on em. Just in case. Just be fucking aware of who's water you're carrying.
  17. Yes, we know. You are validating the foundational element of the """discussion""" that it merits action at all in the first place. You are saying there IS a problem that MUST be solved. This has been made a culture war by the GOP. It is reality nationally, even if your head in the sand hasn't noticed. I'm sorry that your poor little feelings cannot handle that you're siding with the fascists on their let issue
  18. Hartzel is trying to do a Mike Miles on The University of Texas. And he's gonna fuckin' do it.
  19. Cybertrucks continue to be giant piles of garbage https://www.theverge.com/2024/10/3/24261099/tesla-cybertruck-recall-reverse-camera-delay-software According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s report, the recall applies to over 27,000 Cybertrucks “manufactured between November 13th, 2023 and September 14th, 2024,” which applies to essentially every Cybertruck ever made. Tesla Cybertrucks running version 2024.32.5.2 or later could have a condition where the reverse camera feed “may appear blank for up to 6 to 8 seconds” if the customer tries to back up before the vehicle completes a shutdown and boot-up process. Federal regulations require reverse camera feeds to appear within two seconds.
