  1. I'm less surprised that you still haven't shared your """opinion""" rex lol. It's a very trumpian approach you're taking. What, do you have concepts on an opinion?
  2. You do know all of this is happening in the context of a concerted effort (by the very fine people that you voted for) to make trans people untermensch? There are a bunch of hateful fascists pushing across their local governments and private orgs to redefine trans people as dangerous sexual deviants that are coming for your children. Just watch a fucking football game, your man cruz has one of those ads every goddamn quarter. This shit isn't happening in a vacuum
  3. TBH, I think they're a little at ends with South Park. Reality is often fucking dumber than the show itself, and their show has been used to propagate a few hate campaigns they're probably not too proud of, like the whole trans sports thing that's been culture warring. It's shocking how many times I've heard "Randy Savage in a tutu" when folks talk about that issue
  4. Strikingly similar to other dictators of the past, notably the last person dumb enough to invade Ukraine too
  5. Yeah, like collecting all their personal info all up onto a list for Ken Paxton to keep tabs on https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/dps-director-asks-paxton-for-guidance-on-sex-marker-changes/ar-AA1r3DAG Y'all better make em wear a special symbol so the public can ID them more easily, amirite?? Can't have them going into the WRONG BATHROOM(!!!!!!!)
  6. There's been quite a bit of noise being made by employees that have said they weren't allowed to leave because "the storm isn't that bad" and then it was flooding and they were fucked. Not sure if discussion would be better here or the hurricane thread or a new one
  7. Racism and repeated personal attacks will usually get your peepee whacked
  8. Wild that people are asking what rule was broken in that thread. What the absolute fuck. That sort of personal attack against someone's family because of their religion is WAY the fuck over the line
  9. You're 100% right that those are all dogshit businesses that are completely unsustainable with their operating model. However This is the enshittification thread! Those businesses have all made a shitton of money for their investors, and by stock market definitions were completely viable businesses. And they've all exercised a HUGE impact on their respective markets, typically negative for their customers. Like I said, they're right at home in the enshittification thread lol
  10. And that's fair. You asked, I answered lol. They're quite at home in the enshittification thread
  11. If there's a storm brewing and they make the business decision to artificially constrain supply RIGHT before the storm hits, it doesn't really matter how sure they were. Their intent was to goose profit margins under the cover of a winter storm. Their mistake was that they were too successful and drew too much attention to their market manipulation
  12. You're the asshat laughing at some truly shitty racist talk. You bring your own cesspool everywhere you go
  13. Not south park, but Trey Parker and Matt Stone are making a movie with Kendrick Lamar! https://hiphopdx.com/news/kendrick-lamar-films-comedy-movie-south-park-creators The as-yet-untitled film will “depict the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his,” according to a synopsis.
  14. Yeah for real. Odo may be a space fascist but at least he respects women
  15. Ycombinator is one of the first big startup incubators. You may have heard of some of their more successful "unicorn" startups like: Reddit, Stripe, Airbnb, Dropbox, Docker, Twitch, and on and on
  16. ...yes? Hiring scabs is a tried and true way to break a strike, but also tends to really degrade the quality of the workforce and product during the interim. See: NFL and MLB lockout seasons.
  17. The previous contract they had in place expired. There's nothing obliging them to work. A free market doesn't put parties into contracts they don't mutually consent to.

    LBGTQ

Tovarisch, that blyat is off shift, da?
  19. Use every lever of government as a weapon. If you have power, you're supposed to use it[/fascistshithead]
  20. It's surprising how many of y'all are TOTALLY into the idea of the government forcing a party to take a contract that picks winners and losers. Y'all's idea of a free market is surprisingly unfree
  21. The USN CSG in the Red Sea is down it's oiler right now and is in a bit of a logistical pickle that's limiting the number of sorties that can muster. Plus, Iran has built it's bunkers into mountains. Every base is built like Cheyenne Mountain, and filled with missiles. Escalating into a nation state shooting war is the next step towards a global conflict over religion. And an excellent way to dump ever more American blood and gold into the middle east. And thank fuck that rex is finally ignoring me. Dude can't even read my fucking posts correctly lmfao
  22. For starters, it gives the individual employees more confidence to ignore a dangerous order to come in to work with a hurricane baring down. It's not like there's magically a rule for every contingency, it's giving workers more agency to decide rather than be ordered into a dangerous situation by their bosses
  23. For a pretty recent example, a bunch of plastics plant workers died in the flash flooding because they were called in that morning even with the storm barreling down. If you're an hourly worker barely making ends meet, would you risk NOT going to work and potentially upending your whole life when you've got no backup to protect you from management?
