  1. Was it along the lines of what was shown in that American manufacturing doc a few years ago? Where the Chinese/Taiwanese work culture is just so completely different from American that entire workflows or management strategies are invalid
  2. "There was no serialized production of firearms when the Constitution was authored, therefore all serialization of firearms is heretofore unconstitutional" - Chief Justice John Roberts, probably
  3. https://www.yahoo.com/news/miami-dade-police-officer-center-142236260.html big shocker, this pig had a known 20+ year history of being a sack of shit Officer Danny Torres was placed on suspension at least six times during his 27-year career, according to his employee profile released late Friday afternoon by the Miami-Dade Police Department. The profile included information showing a 20-day suspension in 2018. In another incident in 2019, Torres was suspended for 10 days. The other four suspensions, between 2014 and 2016, were each for five days. Details of the suspensions were not listed. Torres also received at least four written reprimands between 1999 and 2020, the report showed. ... The employee report contains six complaints, four alleging use of force, filed against Torres between 2004 and 2018. In only one instance did the investigation find enough evidence to sustain a use of force complaint against Torres. The other complaints involved allegations of improper procedure, improper use of a body worn camera, discourtesy, and conduct unbecoming. Torres’ personnel file also shows he employed a range of use of force tactics including pushing, pulling, striking, and hitting from 2002 to 2022, according to the report. Some of these cases resulted in injuries like cuts, scrapes and bruises, but the report did not include details about who was injured.
  4. It's crazy that the majority owner and sole decision maker of our nation's primary orbital launch capacity that services our most sensitive orbital reconnisiance missions is cracking jokes about assassinating the the sitting VP - the first person in the line of presidential succession.
  5. careful, imma is gonna tell the cops on you 😛
  6. Surprising article that came across my feed this morning: https://eurasiantimes.com/china-can-detect-f-22-f-35-stealth-jets/amp/ The TLDR is that they allege that the Starlink constellation puts out enough background radio waves that it sufficiently illuminates stealth aircraft. It'll be interesting to see if the results are replicated and authentic, and if there's any impact on Starlink's business model if so
  7. But what about our quarterly numbers???? Given our over reliance on short term measurements and KPIs, the market and investment class is going to PUNISH any spending or attempt at R&D or improvements if they don't show immediate and certain results
  8. *Overseas and offshored manufacturing, earning dollars per day. There's a reason the executive class moved those jobs out of the US - can't have workers taking home money meant for the shareholders and execs Basically what he said.

  11. A podcast I listen to framed the first Space Marine game pretty well as a contrast against Gears of War, where rather than taking cover you ARE the cover. 3rd person action shooting, but you're a walking tank. And plus, W40K was doing chainsaw swords way before Gears was around! :p
  12. We live in a nation of idiocy. It's insane to me that trump is leading in so many places still.

  18. 2nm is cutting edge process stuff, so that plus opening a new fab it's not super surprising they're having difficulty. 10-20% yield rates are pretty horrible though. That's a HUGE number of defects in their process to find and remediate
