  1. WTF is musk doing leaning in and helping Alex fucking Jones for? Just to remind everyone, when Elon was in the midst of buying Twitter he said he’d never allow Jones back on the platform because his child died in his arms (which his ex wife confirmed he lied about) and felt too much sympathy for the Sandy Hook families. https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/elon-musk-x-corp-alex-jones-infowars-rcna180487 Nov. 16, 2024, 4:01 PM CST By Rob Wile Attorneys for X Corp., the firm established by Elon Musk to take over Twitter, filed a notice of appearance on Thursday in the bankruptcy case of Alex Jones and his Infowars platform. The new owners of satirical news site The Onion had been declared the successful bidders for Jones’ controversial platform, alongside families of the Sandy Hook massacre victims. But this week, the Texas bankruptcy judge overhearing the case voiced concerns about the transparency of the auction process and called for a new hearing to discuss those potential issues. “Nobody should feel comfortable with the results of the auction,” Judge Christopher M. Lopez said, according to a Bloomberg News report. The X Corp. filing, dated Nov. 14 and first reported by Mother Jones, does not disclose the purpose of X’s appearance, other than to state the rights reserved to it as an interested party, and to request all relevant documents in the case. Attorneys for X listed in the filing did not respond to a request for comment. A lawyer representing The Onion also did not respond to a request for comment. Both Musk and Jones are known allies of President-elect Donald Trump. Musk has allowed Infowars to broadcast on X while Infowars’ fate is in limbo.
  2. Ok, what the fuck is going on https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/elon-musk-x-corp-alex-jones-infowars-rcna180487 Nov. 16, 2024, 4:01 PM CST By Rob Wile Attorneys for X Corp., the firm established by Elon Musk to take over Twitter, filed a notice of appearance on Thursday in the bankruptcy case of Alex Jones and his Infowars platform. 3. I used to play a TON, but fell off when CS2 hit. I was never that great, but I really enjoy the gameplay and tension of a good match. I have a few skins that have exploded in value though so that's fun
  4. Sub-ticks have been a disaster
  5. Price gouging is a hell of a thing, man
  6. Not someone inside the plane, but a SWA flight out of Dallas got cancelled preparing to depart due to taking some gunfire https://apnews.com/article/dallas-texas-bullet-hits-airplane-southwest-airlines-19feb604518202ef544ce0102e3ea2c3
  7. Holy shit there's a lot of goddamn commercials
  8. Lmfao just run the exact same play again for a TD. Word.
  9. There's Arky being Arky. C'mon boys you gotta play like it matters
  10. Let's fuckin roast these pigs. HOOK EM!
  11. Got froze while Mike was walking out
  12. This is ass. Gonna be an early morning in a blind lol
  13. Fun web engineering fact - web clients (web browser) often have a different set of servers from app and mobile clients (mobile or TV app)
  14. Different set of edge servers I guess. But woof, Netflix is gonna be hurting from this bad press
  15. At this scale, it's really a wild challenge. Funnily enough - out in fuckin Port O'Connor Texas it's working pretty smoothly for us streaming on the Netflix app on our TV. Had a couple hiccups, but backing out to the main menu and reclicking the event fixed things. Definitely pretty chunky quality for the first 10-20 seconds joining the stream though. I do not envy Netflix's various ops teams tonight.
  16. Probably like 9 or 930? They have 2 more undercard fights
  17. It reads to me more as sour grapes because Jones and his camp were expecting to be able to rebuy the asset at auction. "Just redoing" an auction is a big fuckin deal, and would significantly change the bidding once everyone knows what the winning bid was - especially since it was a sealed bidding process
  18. literally just the attack ads played ad nauseum were believed, simply because they were repeated enough. Trump using the Goebbels playbook to great effect
  19. So literally just Infowars complaining to the judge about the rules the judge set and they agreed to, and the judge is siding with the complaintant? What the fuck? I need a surlylawyer to come in here and tell my why I'm a fascist for thinking anything could possibly happen to this scumbag
  20. What, you don't think putting a person that had literal brain worms in charge of the FDA isn't gonna make things run smoother?
  21. Lmfao even his artificial creations don't like him Fortune: Elon Musk’s AI turns on him, labels him ‘one of the most significant spreaders of misinformation on X’
