  1. I’m looking forward to judging his tweet game over these next few weeks. Follows, retweets, tweets - it will all be scrutinized by my trained eye.
  2. I know nothing about him other than Vic Fangio hired him - which is a check on the 'pro' side for me. According to this video he was a hold-over at WKU through three different DCs.
  3. Nahlin (IT) reporting that Joe DeCamillis is not expected back next season. Hes looking for a return to the NFL.
  4. Asst. D-Line coach for the Lions: Cameron Davis - Prior to the Lions was a DL coach at Lamar University for a couple of years. Spent a season as a Grad Asst at A&M. https://www.detroitlions.com/team/coaches-roster/cameron-davis Previously posted this - but these were the playoff teams coaches that I thought were realistic/reasonable. I didn't include Davis because his resume is extremely light (but so was Chris Jackson's, so what the fuck do I know). Houston Texans: Jacques Cesaire DL coach - 5 years at Univ of San Diego as DL coach, 9 years as DE for San Diego Chargers Rod Wright Asst DL Coach Green Bay Packers: Jerry Montgomery DL coach -11 years in college at OU, Michigan, Wyoming. Last 9 years in NFL Detroit Lions: John Scott Jr. DL Coach - First year in Detroit. Previously coached at Penn St., South Carolina, and Arkansas Wayne Blair QC - Long time Florida HS head coach, spent last two years coaching DLine in Detroit. Played at Tulane and CFL Buffalo Bills: Marcus West Asst D-Line - Prior to joining Bills in 2022 spent 14 years as college D-Line coach (Charlotte, Minn, Austin Peay) San Francisco 49ers: Darryl Tapp Asst D-Line - 12 year NFL veteran. Coached D-Line at V-Tech for 2 seasons. Joined 49ers in 2022.
  5. You're trying to use tackles as a measure of effectiveness for a DT.
  6. I think they see a kid who is ready to step in and play heavy minutes if needed but otherwise is going to be a good rotational DT. FWIW - Here is PFF Run Defense Grades for the Arizona and Texas DL:
  7. Just confirming what we already knew - Nielsen is not the DL coach.
  8. FWIW - here are the grades for the Arizona and Texas DL last year:
  9. 6'4" 293. Not necessarily the NT I think we're looking for. He was Arizona's 2nd highest grade DL according to PFF.
  10. Rocketing up draft boards (at least in the estimation of some well-known and connected draft guys): Dane Brugler's mock has Murphy going at 16 in the first round. https://theathletic.com/5203443/2024/01/16/nfl-mock-draft-2024-two-rounds-quarterbacks/ Daniel Jeremiah's mock has Murphy at the number 11 pick. Calls him the best DT in the draft. https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jeremiah-2024-nfl-mock-draft-1-0 Jim Nagy (heads the Senior Bowl) had said a few weeks back in an interview that he thought Murphy would surprise some people and be drafted much earlier than expected.
  11. I prefer not to document my parents descent into paranoia and their journey to becoming openly and proudly racist.
  12. Even in death I didn't expect George Michael would look this bad.
  13. Bond was open in the end zone. DaBoer is going to pull his hair out watching Milroe.
  14. He’s lost a total of 12 games in 9 years of coaching. I don’t think he’s ‘in over his head’, but I do think he is going to have his most challenging season as a head coach in 2024.
  15. It is absolutely wild to think that Texas is losing its WR1, WR2, and TE1 to the NFL Draft - all in the top 2 rounds - and that next years passing game could be better.
  16. I don’t think it’s necessarily concerns as much as the talent on campus is young and untested (I guess that’s just a pedantic argument over the word ‘concerns’) . Also WR/DB are the most loaded positions in the portal. Why not go out and get the best if you have the ability.
  17. I prefer Yurosek as well - but I'd be ecstatic with either. Also - Bama fans are idiots.
