  1. Elon Musk - Twitter, Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink $250B Jeff Bezos- Washington Post, Amazon, AWS $211B Mark Zuckerberg- Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp $200B Sergey Brin - Google (Alphabet) YouTube $131B Micheal Bloomberg - Bloomberg News $106B Bill Gates - Microsoft, $106B Rupert Murdoch - FoxNews, WSJ $22B These seven combined are worth over a trillion dollars and collectively control most of the public information space. You cannot have a functioning Democracy with this shit. It’s too much concentration of power, they can rewrite history if they want and no government is going to stop them.
  2. I fear you underestimate the stupidity of our voting public.
  3. Excited for you… here’s to a clean game thread with no negativity or profanity
  4. Wild that we have a candidate for President that couldn’t pass a routine background check to be a substitute teacher at a local school. Only in America
  5. Graph is actually missing hurricane Delta which came up the path of Laura a month later in 2020. It was at CAT 4 at one point in time. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Delta
  6. I knew he played the villain in the Goonies just a little too well.
  7. The kind of multigenerational pettiness that makes this country awesome sometimes
  8. I think Trump likes tariffs solely because it’s something he can unilaterally do as president, at least for a short period of time. It’s the exercise of power he loves, not any actual perceived benefit. Like almost no one in America asked to impose a bunch of stupid protectionist tariffs.
  9. I like how the fate of the free world is going to rest on the voter turnout of a few radicalized incels in rural Pennsylvania. Hell of a system we have here. My unlikely morbid fantasy this election is for Trump to win the popular vote and lose the electoral college.
  10. This shit has worked like once maybe twice in the last 70 years. 1960 LBJ, and that’s about it.
  11. It’s kinda like the decades after the printing press was invented. Crazy ass dangerous ideas spread like wildfire and tens of thousands of innocent people falsely accused of witchcraft were drowned, hanged, buried alive, and burned at the stake. And that’s when most people didn’t know how to read or write. It’s almost comical that we thought we could handle the internet, social media, and AI all within the last 30 years and nothing catastrophic would come of it, especially when we let some of the most amoral and unethical people run the show.
