  1. Mavs 2023: No one died at least Posted in the NBA thread but hilarious.
  2. Would have loved a KD vs LeBron 1st round. No guarantee they meet up later. Going for the Nuggets this postseason as Jokic faces too many stupid people taking pot shots at him. Reminds me of 20 years ago when people were calling Dirk a soft Euro.
  3. Tank off with the Bulls. They are resting their guys too. It's Slovenia night so Luka will at least start.
  4. Rose had a lot of heart and work ethic was never his problem. Zion has looked straight fat at times. Will always be fascinated by Ben Simmons career or I guess lack thereof.
  5. Crazy part are there are still Mavs fans online that say 'F**K TEAM TANK. I will never root for my team to lose." Kind of wonder what world someone like that lives in really. Every move in a vacuum made some sense. The story goes with Nash is the Maverick team doctors said Nash's back was f**ked and it was all downhill from there. How much of that is true I don't know. Brunson struggled in the 2021 playoffs against the Clippers. Lots of people were saying two years ago maybe he was a regular season player and the Mavs could get him for cheap. Midway through the 2022 season Brunson decided he was out of Dallas though. Jalen said his goodbyes to all the players after the 2022 playoffs ended. He was gone by that point. Ultimately comes down to after that 2011 chip Cuban no longer cared about championships. Sure he didn't want the Mavs to suck or be personally ridiculed but he cares especially about the money aspect now. On the flipside you see an organization like Golden State where even after 4 freaking chips they are still willing to go all out to spend.
  6. Never have been a Kyrie fanboy but in theory- Mavs were locked into a fairly mediocre uninspiring roster and have no great secondary assets like the Suns had in a Mikal Bridges to trade for a truly elite disgruntled superstar. Settling for being a 5th or 6th seed with Luka is unconscionable to most Mavs fans which helps dial up the desperation. Dinwiddie and Finney-Smith are both 30 years old so no real hope either might turn into a perennial all-star. Could have been a step back to take two steps forward type situation. At this point the Mavs have to pray Kyrie signs a 4 year max (lulz) and then can flip him for a better asset in 2024 or so. Believe most casuals overrate how valuable a 'walking bucket' alone is in today's NBA. Even awful teams can fill it up these days against bad defenses. Getting strong vibes of an even worse version of the Lebron first Cavs stint.
  7. Not making the play in and giving the 11th pick to the Knicks would be very on brand.
  8. Mavs have like a 75% chance of keeping their draft pick now at least. Was hoping the Jazz would pass them too.
  9. Mavs are like 25th in defense and rebounding. Not exactly a head scratcher on what they need to do to improve in the offseason. Free agent crop is weak so are options are like Kyrie or Fred Van Vleet. Finney Smith has kinda sucked since he's been on the Nets. Defense has regressed some and bricking threes lately. Plays Houston tonight though. Good vibes opponent.
  10. A lot more depth and variance in today's game. More talent than ever that have range from deep.
  11. Luka being similar to Harden was a good call. Will probably have a few more good seasons with the Mavs and be moved. Dallas roster is embarrassing.
  12. Playing with Kyrie vibes am i right I know Luka sued his mom in the offseason and doesn't seem that close to his dad either.
  13. Seems like they are 3-19 in clutch games this season. Offense is respectable most nights but defense and rebounding are just awful normally. 23rd in defense in the NBA I believe.
  14. Mavs talent level is embarrassing for a team actually trying at this point in the season.
  15. Hopefully we draft Pollards replacement as well. RBs are generally out of their prime by year 6 or so and most smart teams have adopted the use em up and throw them in the trash can model, no big 2nd contract. Allocate the cap to less replaceable positions.
  16. Boston takes around 42 three point attempts per game, Golden State 43 attempts. Most guys can't see the floor these days unless they can help compete in the 3 point contest.
  17. Mavs/Griz was a prime time game and it was just a bunch of role players and G league guys going at it. I'm a fan but what a terrible product the NBA has many nights.
  18. Cowboys will search the clearance bin themselves after the top free agents are picked over like normal.
  19. Good draw other than the location.
