  1. I imagine that the argument is NIL was always "legal" and the NCAA/Pac12/USC improperly conspired to prevent Bush (and other collegiate athletes) from profiting on their names, images, and likenesses. Now, how Bush's suit against the NCAA isn't covered by House, I'm not sure. Maybe he was able to opt out of the pending settlement? Or maybe he's suing individually before the settlement is finalized, and his statute of limitations has somehow been tolled all this time under the American Pipe doctrine? Edited to add: Also possible that Bush's suit will be consolidated into House.

  3. Agree. For Futureman, "ignore him" seems too light of a punishment. I recommend:

  8. There's a pretty big difference between doing a short radio show and sitting down with the laser pointer and diagramming your playcalls/scheme on TV.
  9. I remember there being conversations about this even as far back as Mack's tenure. First, the time demands of having to record LHN content every week. But even moreso, breaking down your own game film. At the very least, it gives your opponent an insight into what/how you're seeing your own team that they wouldn't otherwise get. I'm glad we don't do that anymore, as enjoyable as it was to watch after the few marquee wins we've had over the past 15 years.
  10. Wait... you think Daddy98 has had sex? Dude has huge virg energy.
  11. Thanks for posting. The article includes these two youtube clips intended to show our DTs are not as good as Sweat/Murphy. Here are my thoughts: Clip 1: In this clip, Collins acts like he's never seen trap before. He is absolutely lost--standing straight up--when he goes unblocked, and he gets blasted by the puller, setting up the huge gain. I wonder if this is a "result" of having a DE spin down to a NG? He just lacks the reps of knowing what to expect by someone who has played DT/NG their whole life, so he doesn't know to attack the puller when he's left unblocked. Meanwhile, Gbenda and Hill both overrun the trap, missing the pulling guard and giving the RB a huge hole to run through. The good news is that Michael Taafe takes the RBs head completely off. Does this give me some concern for gap run schemes this weekend? Yeah, maybe? But this got cleaned up really quickly on Saturday. Clip 2: Here is an inside zone run in the third quarter. Vernon Broughton pins his ears back for some odd reason and absolutely creates a gaping hole. Far from "eating blocks to leave the linebackers free," he does the classic--run upfield away from the block. As a result, there's a huge hole for the RB to slice through. The other down linemen and linebackers generally play this run very well. However, Trey Moore's ballerina act is horrible technique against a better/faster opponent. Here, he's able to use his speed to just stave off the blocker and force the RB to the outside. But Broughton/Moore next to each other might also be some cause for concern in the run game. Does this give me cause for concern about Michigan's zone scheme? Not really. I imagine we see a lot more Ethan Burke/Baryn Sorrell in this game than we do Trey Moore. I also imagine we see a lot less Broughton and more Norton/Savea/Lole.
  12. Wasn't this widely expected? GenX was and has been generally fucked by the enormous population of Baby Boomers occupying high- and mid-level jobs, which is what has generally resulted in them being disaffected and earning less than Boomers on an inflation-adjusted basis. Meanwhile, Millennials come in as Boomers are retiring. So there are lots of job openings and plenty of room for upward mobility. Add on to that the fact that Millennials' Boomer parents have generally helped support/set up Millennials to highly achieve. That's a big reason why Strauss-Howe generational theory tabs Millennials as the fourth turn of the saeculum--a "Hero" Generation.
  13. Love it. I wonder which legislator, specifically, he thinks favors UT?
  14. any idea what the drill is with the time reflected here? The idea that the LB, TE, and DEs are faster than their WRs, CBs, and Safeties is mind-blowing.
