  1. You think Mueller and Co. released this on a Friday night to bury the story? Because every form of American media - the Internet, Twitter, reddit, MSM, etc - has been dissecting this rebuttal since the moment it hit.
  2. Maybe 8 years ago. There's no "Friday night news dump" in this day and age. Not when it comes to Trump and Mueller at any rate.
  3. I'm a cheap drunk. It's generally rum though. But I get your point. Problem is, AG Iran Contra will inevitably do everything in his power to bury the report. It's going to come down to the HoR bringing this shit to light.
  4. Ah. They're going to try and spin this into the knuckledragger's version of the Reichstag fire.
  5. Perhaps it's the wine talking, but my view on this is as follows: 1. Parts of the BF story are true or true enough to certain aspects of Mueller's case. 2. The complete non-denial by everyone in the Trump administration until late this afternoon / evening supports the notion that article is not "fake news". 3. Every D in the Senate and HoR has been pushing on Twitter for Mueller to begin releasing notes specifically because of this story. It's easy to see Mueller pushing back in the face of overwhelming Congressional pressure to reveal aspects of his case before it's ready to be released.
  6. Here comes the half-victory lap around the shitter. I’m sure the MAGA brigade is close in tow. This victory is just as great, if not greater, than Iwo Jima.
  7. This is the Twitter equivalent of the awkward high five that dads try to give their 12 year old sons when they bring home their junior high woodshop projects.
  8. North Louisiana is a strange cultural melting pot of southern Arkansas and east Texas. And by strange cultural melting pot, I mean a plastic cup of tapioca pudding that's been left out on the sidewalk for nine days.
  9. Neither do his supporters. I work with two Puerto Ricans. Even before the rise of Trumpism, our boss has repeatedly asked questions about their "immigration status".
  10. Legitimately curious as to how he expected this announcement to be received by the Twittersphere. He's getting roasted.
  11. The road back from this circus of dumbfuckery and ghoulish cunts is going to be long and painful.
  12. This administration's use of the word "humanitarian" makes me fucking ragey. They split up families, establish concentration camps, let kids die in squalid conditions, and then have the audacity to declare this PR circus a "humanitarian crisis". I think I'll start rooting for SkyNet at this point.
  13. Yep. Certain areas will remain insane (Permian, STACK/SCOOP, etc), but I know a whole lot of field level guys here in the Anadarko Basin and west into the Panhandle that have been laid off or their employers have cashed out and left them behind. They populate all the little hole-in-the-wall diners in this wasteland and bitch about foreigners and NFL players and talk about how they're prepping for the upcoming civil war. It's neither politics or self-preservation to these people any more. It's their identity now. It would be funny if it wasn't so damn sad. Or vice versa.
  14. You know who is really enjoying this "luck"? The legion of O&G people that voted for him because "those damn liberals are trying to kill O&G". They're loving this right now. Though, like most of the other mouthbreathers that constantly defend this piece of shit, they've given up caring about their own interests and rallied behind cultural war issues for now.
  15. Tech "stuff". Bells and whistles. Awesome.
  16. I’ve worked in O&G for fifteen years now. It hasn’t jaded me toother workers getting fucked in their various industries. It’s only hardened me to the fact that O&G is one the shittiest industries to work in. I sympathize with workers repeatedly getting fucked over primarily because I work in O&G.
  17. This has to be the only correct answer.
  18. My point is not that we should in any way tolerate our current slide into a high-tech banana republic. I whole-heartedly agree that we should push and strive for the ideals, in this country, that we’ve projected outward into the world. It’s my belief that in order to do that, we have to be honest with ourselves about who we are and where we have been as a country. That’s not always an easy truth to acknowledge. I absolutely believe we should try to live up to our own ideals. I don’t believe we should continue to make excuses as to why we haven’t. Let’s just fucking do it.
