They’re the favorites to win it all, right?
Well, they were, until the darned ol NCAA/ESPN had them face the only team of the 64 that could beat them in the first round.

Damn, would you say we’d have a plethora of WRs if we get this guy???

Gavin Kash hitting .448 with 7 homers and 34 RBI for Tech. Keeping him and landing Skenes from the portal would’ve changed this season outlook completely.
What was the story with Kash? Why did he leave with 1B being wide open for him to step in and start this year.- 1

Is Luke Harrison hurt? Noticed him on the roster, but haven’t seen him all year after it seemed Pierce really liked him last year.
Also, any timeline on Witt? -
What’s the purpose of starting Dillon Mitchell? He starts every game, plays about 8 min and then you never see him again. Was him “starting” part of his “contract” to sign with us? Just don’t see the point.

I guess the suprise of the Spring will be our 5th starter. Elder and Anderson haven’t been good this Spring and were reassigned to the minors, so it will be between our #1 prospect Jared Shuster and a marginally ranked prospect named Dylan Dodd. Both lefties with similar minor league stats (not dominating, but decent).

Wasn’t there a bet on here that we wouldn’t score 6 or more runs in a certain amount of games this year? Seems like we are closing in on whatever that number was..

Jimbo said they ain’t got no NIL, so move along NCAA, nothing to see here.

Not sure why, but not overly excited about this season. Didn’t make any significant moves while all other contenders did.
We really need Ozuna to get back to being a .270, 30-35 homer guy and Acuna to get back to his 2019, top 5-10 player in the game form.Rotation and bullpen should be fine barring any injuries. Soroka is a lottery ticket if he stays healthy and can do what he did his rookie year.

if you dump the first 21 games from the rivalry and only do since game 22 when they started rotating between Austin and College Station, Texas still leads 61-33-5
Yeah, but take out election & La Niña years, night games and games when kickoff was 58 degree or less and the fightin Texas ags have a .975 winning % over them dum ol sips. Whoop!!!!

I’m not on the Pierce bandwagon, but if he keeps getting us to Omaha 60+% of the time, then we can’t get rid of him.
Not sure how much say/influence he had for that Air Force transfer, but landing him would have changed the outlook on the season tremendously. Every available resource should have been used to out-NIL any competition and I’m not so sure how good of a NIL-salesman/fundraiser Pierce is. Thought I remember something about him not having full support of some of the alumni?? -
We should have scheduled Seattle U to open the season. Y’all would be buying tickets to Omaha right now.

1926 was apparently when the baylor event occurred. One Aggie cadet was apparently killed in the brawl.
Well, it’s tradition then, so another brave aggy must give his life on the 100 year anniversay in 2026.

Kicking off both halves was pretty unique as well.

It would be hilarious if SEC tells them, “No, we said you will play Texas at home in 2025, we never said anything about the first year.”

Please, whatever happens, just make aggy come to Austin in the first matchup. Nothing better than some aggy tears after another broken gentlemen agreement.

So we’ll actually have a real Spring game?

Ok, starting to get a little excited. The entire lineup is hitting (especially Olson), so hopefully they all continue to stay hot and get out the gate fast so our pitching has some time to catch up to them.
Even our AAAA guys like Hilliard, Wall, White, Sierra, Shewmake are having huge springs and I bet Rosario becomes expendable if Hilliard/Wall continue to rake in AAA. Luplow may be in the mix based on previous ML experience, but he didn’t have a super spring.
