  1. Please, please double down on these talking points. We Republicans are begging you.
  2. That’s about what I expected. Good luck in November.
  3. Um, no. The people you claim are being demonized are winning seats. But hey, good luck with the authoritarian talking points I guess.
  4. A Mexican immigrant just won running on a Republican ticket. The Dems need to update their talking points or get left in the dust. Or don’t, that’s fine with me.
  5. That’s better than ignoring the issue, actually. Latinos want a stronger border and the Dems still have no idea, it’s actually kind of sad.
  6. The Dems are hoping that the map will be more favorable in November, which it will. They’re just underestimating how badly the Republicans want this seat and the amount of money they’re pouring into south Texas.
  7. The Dems read the room so poorly when it comes to immigration and it’s going to cost them.
  8. Biden should be sitting under an electric blanket in his 85 degree house and cutting out newspaper clippings to send to his grandchildren. You guys are cruel for making him run the free world.
  9. Things are going to shit, but I don’t have to wake up and read mean tweets. Totally worth it.
  10. They’re not defending it, they’re gleefully cheering it on because it’s what they want. They have blood on their hands. It’s a feature not a bug. Cash in our chips, this country’s over. -Brisket.
  11. I can’t believe a guy that exposes himself and gives women unwanted facials would lie about it. The Browns are fucking morons.
  12. Eating bad tacos can lead to something silent, but deadly.
  13. I stand by what I said. But I agree that anything I add would be tautological in nature and even worse than that, very boring.
  14. Well, originally we were discussing a stack defense. I showed you that it’s not popular in the NFL, so now we’re discussing whether a team runs more base or nickel package for some odd reason. You should argue with my wife, you guys argue eerily similar.
  15. Most teams base is still cover 3 (3-4, 4-3). Also, most of the nickel you’ll see is with 4 down lineman, not stack. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-defensive-scheme-analysis-32-nfl-teams-2021
  16. I admittedly have an aversion to it, but I don’t think it’s a bad defense. I think it’s effective against the spread, but it requires aggressive LB play if you want any pass rush, and that is very easy to exploit. You may be thinking of the 3-4, which is more common in the NFL than 3-3-5.
  17. I’m sure some teams have managed to generate pass rush, but that’s not its bread and butter.
  18. I was under the impression they were attempting to create more pass rush, but maybe they’ve already thrown in the towel with this Dline group. I’ve never been a fan of this particular scheme, so it’s also possible that my bias is showing.
  19. Running a 3-3-5 seems like a bad idea for a team that already stinks at getting to the QB.
  20. And playing… (cough) cards (cough) with Kay Summersby. I just finished The Guns at Last Light: The War in Western Europe, 1944-45 by Rick Atkinson. Ike’s thinking during that time is very detailed and accompanied by some analysis from Atkinson. I recommend the entire trilogy, actually.
  21. This is being repeated in just about every Republican circle. The line I hear the most is something like “I sure could use lower gas and some mean tweets right about now.”
  22. You know you’re a barrel of fun when a pillow conversation becomes political.
  23. They definitely want to keep the liberals at bay, and frankly have succeeded in that endeavor. Your examples are different in that they’ve actually ran a successful campaign. The stats are very poor for politicians that have failed twice. If he fails again for a third time, his political career will be over.
