  1. The Chinese eat man’s best friend, so um, fuck em.
  2. I always felt if the battle is truly that close, then go with the younger guy. Although maybe there’s a sense they can talk Card into staying, whereas they know Thompson is definitely gone.
  3. That RSV going around is no joke, it damn near put my daughter in the hospital with pneumonia. She’s only 4 and obviously that’s different than your 18 old, but still you want to stay in front of it if you can.
  4. I was shocked by the number of people I know that aren’t getting the vaccine. Whether it’s microchips, infertility or even Bill Gates; I’ve heard all of the excuses. They can’t source the information, even though I’m genuinely curious and trying my best to not be combative. I hate the idea of mandating the vaccine, but I hate the idea of responsible adults refusing the vaccine even more. It’s the best of two bad ideas. I’m beyond frustrated that my 5 year old son may be forced to wear a mask to kindergarten this fall. He has struggled with the letter R and L and seeing his teacher sound out words is an essential tool in clearing up this issue. Oh well, I guess when the speech pathologist bill comes due I can comfort myself knowing that the unvaccinated are stopping the spread of communism.
  5. I’m not a very political person, but there are times when I venture into the cloakroom when there’s no recruiting or football news. There’s very little diversity of opinion and most of it is tautological in nature, so my eyes gloss over fairly quickly. Nobody wants to lose their ability to post about their favorite football team, so I understand Surly Republican’s reluctance. There would have to be some sort of tinkering with the reputation system if the goal is actual dialogue from opposing viewpoints. If nothing else, it would make the forum more readable.
  6. I was disappointed with the Sark hire, but I took solace in the fact that he would most likely recruit his ass off. Woof.
  7. Anything he wins for the Texans would be tainted for me, so hurry up and get the fuck outta town creep.
  8. Okie state has more national championships than any other big 12 university?
  9. Sounds like someone didn’t get invited to any July 4th parties. Poor little guy.
  10. How dare you, I happen to be extremely stupid. Also, it really seems Roach is still reeling from last few recruitments Texas lost and is just throwing his hands in the air.
  11. Based on the 247 recruiting chat, it sounds like the staff came in thinking Texas would recruit itself and now they’re realizing it’s much more difficult. Wonderful.
  12. Our highest rated recruit is uninterested in football? If that doesn’t sum up the last decade, then I don’t know what does.
  13. The OU mod on 247 is trying to console the folks on the Longhorn board. That’s when you know things aren’t going well.
  14. This timing of this article is what we refer to as “softening the blow”
  15. Flood’s probably used to landing whoever the fuck he wants, this has to be strange for him.
  16. It’s a lot of fun until about an hour before the announcement. Then we get rickrolled.
  17. Sark’s gonna have to make another awkward call to Sexton like he did to Miller. “Oh heeeeeyyyyy Jacob. Oh my god, you thought we were serious?? Of course we’re not full at the position.”
  18. 3:15pm update from Nick: Coming on here to let you guys know that I have lowered my confidence score on my Texas crystal ball to a 4. I had heard some really encouraging things this week in regards to where Texas stood with Williams, which is why I entered a CB, but Oregon has been able to put in some major work in the final hours and I think there's a better chance that the Ducks land him at this point. Commitment should be around 6pm
  19. Mike Roach I’ve been going back and forth on putting a pick in. Coming out of the Texas visit, the Longhorns had a ton of momentum, but Oregon pushed back in the last few days after making a big early impression. A source I talked to last night was leaning Texas, but I haven’t heard enough to cross Oregon off yet.
