Southwest or every other airline in the history of the world?
Your companion has to be the companion at the time you fly and when you add them to your ticket. You could book them last minute (assuming there are seats), but I don’t think your plan would work since your companion would switch between booking more than 3 times.

Attorneys going in-house
Went in house at a nonprofit in healthcare 8 months ago. Legal team is about 20 attorneys with varied expertise. Pay, benefits, and lack of billing make it all worth it. Better work-life balance as well. Nice to be the client.

2021 CFB Polls/Rankings
I would not count on us being ahead of OU even with a win unless it’s a blowout (and that’s unlikely). Depending on how the games shake out, I could see us moving up to 12-14, and OU falling to 10-12. They get the benefit of the doubt we seldom do (and haven’t yearned in years).

TRAVEL: Points, Miles, Discounts, Tips, Advice & Questions
I need some help with the best way to use credit cards to help with flights in summer 2023. Will be flying from DFW to Athens, and returning from Rome (family obligation cruise). 2 adults and 2 kids. Would ideally prefer business class. Only have about 90k American miles. Any suggested credit card strategies and carriers to partner with? Should only have 0-1 credit cards over last 24 months. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
Pfizer submitted their data on 5-11 years olds to the FDA this morning. Hopefully approval comes in the next couple of weeks.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
The booster discussed is officially only for Pfizer right now, correct? I haven’t seen any official directives on a monderna booster, but maybe I missed that. I have seen moderna has studied a booster that is half the regular dose. So people getting moderna boosters now, are they getting the full third dose? Getting that booster without any official guidance/recommendations from any of the federal agencies?

COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
Yes. It will give you results for vaccine antibodies and Covid antibodies. My SIL got Covid last October (she’s a nurse and as best we can tell, she got it from work). She then got the vaccine in late December. Her results showed both. The spike antibodies (from vaccine) were about 650 (Pfizer vaccine). Her Covid antibodies were 2.2 I think. But I don’t know that there is really good qualitative data on the level of protection those two types of antibodies provide, or how protection from one antibody compared to the other. I’ve seen references of being recovered from Covid and having vaccine provides higher protection, but not any specifics on that increased protection.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
Wife just had hers tested. Negative for natural Covid antibodies. Vaccine antibodies were 340. She’s a pediatrician and her 2nd Pfizer dose was 1/6/21. She got her booster shot today.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
Just got the results. 2069. Moderna last dose January 28. Negative for Covid exposure. Guess I can hold off on the booster for a while.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
Just got the text with results. But when logging into the website for the details it says to allow 48 hours for final results to be uploaded, and 5 days from when the sample was drawn for Covid testing. Guess the CPL I went to is slow. Will post once I receive them.

COVID-19 vaccine discussion
How long is it taking most people to get their antibody results from Texas Cares? I had mine drawn Tuesday morning and trying to decide if I wait for results or just get a booster this weekend. Second moderna dose was in late January.

COVID-19 2nd wave - Texas only - Stats and such
It sure feels that way. I live in Allen and have mostly enjoyed it. The new superintendent has handled all this poorly. And most people around here apparently don’t believe in COVID. Our elementary principal won’t wear a mask. Horrible leadership- knowing that the 450 kids that she is in charge of can’t get vaccinated and she can’t be bothered to even put on a mask. The district won’t mandate masks, but you can lead by example. Just like this coach could have, but chose not to. I feel callous saying it, but I don’t have sympathy for someone who’s choices cause other people to get sick and/or die. This guy didn’t get to teach a class, but with coaching of the football team, likely contributed to the 26 (reported) cases at Allen High School.
