  1. An important reason Harris needs to win in a blowout is that it will YET AGAIN demonstrate that the polling industry knows shit about fuck. We, the American populous, red/blue/pink/white/black/brown/green, need to make this election the last that we are slaves to Quinnipac, Monmouth, Siena, or any other D2 school with a poli-sci polling department (SEC! SEC!).
  2. Obviously the best position from the start. What changed?
  3. Ohio - I agree with you. Florida - There may be 3 things pulling it back towards the Dems in the Presidential race and a 4th in the Senate race: 1. Abortion on the ballot 2. Puerto Rican comments 3. Haitian comments 4. Rick Scott is a ass.
  4. That would be great signalling, who cares if Harris gets 320 or 335 electoral college votes? The most important thing he said is that Mucarsal-Powell wins the Florida senate seat. That would give Dems 50-50 in the senate and an opportunity to kill the filibuster and really do something.
  5. They already do that, eg Walz and student sexual misconduct. So them clipping what Biden said shouldn't surprise anyone. Is it fair? No. But who said Fox was fair and balanced? I think he was being sarcastic.
  6. I hope you're right, but the performance of the media over the last decade would argue against them focusing on the bigger picture.
  7. Yes, pretty much his basic stump speech so it sucked. But Biden's stupid comment will dominate the headlines for the next 3 days.
  8. @Dahobbs Biden gave the GOP bulletin board material. I know Joe Biden is caring and humane. He's proven it throughout his life. I know he didn't say what Fox claims. But the NYT has it #3-4 on their page too, and it distracts from the true dehumanization that the GOP displays on a daily basis. It was a mistake that the GOP will use to mobilize supporters. To think otherwise isn't acknowledging the obvious.
  9. I hate it too, and I see how superficial it is, but it allow Fox and WaPo and CNN to both-sides the situation.
  10. I hate to agree with this person, but this was a own goal by Biden. Distracts from Harris and distracts from Trump lighting himself on fire.
  11. They're actually both very sympathetic people. One was on hand for Jan 6 and had a lot of PTSD. He did his job despite his personally feelings. It shows the complexity of humans.
  12. I know a couple, and they're MAGA. They do their job, but they have a political lean. They were both heavily affected by Jan 6. Remain MAGA.
  13. But probably still suffers from the same response bias as smaller surveys. It appears likely that this survey is oversampling very partisan voters, which is possible because only invested people will take the time to respond.
  14. Thanks for the info. Prediction still didn't show for me.
  15. We tried to cancel prime a couple of years ago. There are some products that we routinely need that are much harder to get without prime so we re-enrolled. Understanding how amazon gouges sellers, we do try to buy direct from producers when possible.
  16. The loss in prestige is greater than the lost revenue. Bezos knew WaPo was a terrible financial decision. It was a vanity play to show he could put is money towards a good cause, real journalism. Now he found his morals in conflict with business interests, and he chose to protect his business interests. WaPo is screwed as long as he owns it.
  17. What's the data point? I click the link and see only the prose.
