You're seeing yourself, and it embarrasses you. Good! People tolerate you because you provide interesting information. Good! Your avatar doesn't have to be "I'm an asshole." It could be "I'm knowledgeable and charitable." You could even leave the same picture, btw, and just change the way you interact. No one would mind. I'm done being your mirror. Flame away!

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
https://247sports.com/college/alabama/Article/Emmanuel-Henderson-commits-to-Alabama-recruiting-over-Auburn-Georgia-Clemson--162343380/ Hopefully this factors into Sawchuk's decision. Tide now have 3 5-star and 3 4-star RB since 2019.

Talk about Cluster B disorders... Your world is very black and white. I envy your ability to know the character of people almost certainly don't know well and, better yet, predict their future. If only I'd had you as a mentor when I flunked out of school to tell me what my future held.

All good points. I still wouldn't surmise that someone is having pseudoseizures based on what I hear on the internet. If seizure are controlled, that shouldn't eliminate football for him, agreed. If he's having absence events while playing DL on a D-1 team, that exposes him to great harm, and I wouldn't recommend it. "Moving the needle" is doing a lot of work in that sentence. Since you see a lot of these patients, you probably also know that there are types of seizures that remain poorly responsive to the newer drugs. I'm done talking about this.

Pseudoseizures can be hard to diagnose looking at the patient, definitely hard over the internet. As I read it, he didn't get the overnight EEGs. They aren't necessarily diagnostic either. There are several types of seizure that require multiple meds, each with their own side effects. The fact that his disorder isn't controlled would make participation in football difficult to imagine. Lastly, what would be his secondary gain from this malingering? It's destroying his ability to participate in the sport that's his meal ticket.

In your ignorance you appear both stupid and callous. I hope it is a shtick because this time it's disgusting, not funny. Seizure disorders themselve can cause mood lability and difficulty learning. Anti-epileptic meds also can have neurologic and psychiatric side effects, sometimes debilitating. The anxiety of not having control of your mind and body is just as terrible as it sounds, and it appears this guy has this anxiety. Repeated impact to the head, like in football, would not be recommended even if his seizure disorder was controlled. The fact that it isn't controlled eliminates his potential participation. Feel fortunate you don't have first hand knowledge of epilepsy. Keep your ignorance to yourself.

Seizure disorders are often accompanied by other neuropsychiatric disorders. This is nothing to trifle with. Football probably isn't the best option for him.

He's being having seizures. I hope he's healthy and can get a degree. Football is gravy at this point.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
He plays the "go win the game for us" position in high school.

Non-Texas Recruiting 2022
He's locked into getting school paid for. If a more attractive option presents itself, he switches.

This isn't new. On another thread, I outlined the remarkable number of WR transfers OU's had prior to this year. I would've been disappointed to see Rambo out their next year had he stayed. Howard's career likely depends on how his leg has rehabbed. West is a headscratcher. Haselwood opted out of the bowl game. If he left, that would definitely be disappointing. Low numbers due to transfers out are definitely a chronic issue at OU.

I think we're about to start The Spring Portal Season, which may be 50 - 80% of The Winter Portal Season. Howard had impressive production at UCLA, tore an ACL (IIRC) almost as soon as he arrived at OU, and didn't do much last season. I could be that this is an injury that he's just now recovering from so someone may get a real talent.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
To be clear, I'm not sure this happened, but it view it as completely plausible. Jase commits, and he then sees OU accept a commitment from Knighton and schedule to get visits from Robinson and Milton (scheduling of visits happened) and make the final cut for Chris Tyree (ND). Jase then says, "if you guys want me to stay committed, stop recruiting other top backs." Anyhow, Murray's not on the line for what happened in that cycle. His seat got hot because of what happened on the field in 2020 and with 2021 recruiting. On the field, OU RB need to be better, and his 2022 recruiting needs to be on point at RB and he needs to help get a couple of the Bishop Gorman kids.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
Could it be possible that Jase made his request after he saw OU recruiting other backs? The postmortem on this is complete from my standpoint. As golfclap has pointed out, that OU has difficulty recruiting RB is ridiculous. They have an outstanding OL, passing game, 1000+ rushers, and have had 3 RB drafted in the last 4 drafts. They should be able to just mail signing letters to the five top RB and wait for two of them to sign.

One elite RB. McGowen was thought to be, and has proven to be, average not great. As others have also said, Jase wanted to be the only top RB in the 2020 class. After McClellon committed, Knighton communication diminished (reference unavailable, it may have been a podcast), and OU didn't hotly pursue other top RB who showed interest (Milton, Tyree, Robinson). The fact that Jase went to Bama when they had another top RB committed makes people think that he concocted a Manchurian candidate-like plot to stiff OU late in the cycle. Probably just changed his mind. RB coach is a recruiting job. At this point, Murray's got to produce this cycle. He needs to pull at least three top RB this year + another: Two top 100 RBs (Raleek included) + one more RB. At least one of the seven 4-stars from his high school Bishop Gorman, NV (one is at RB). It would be great for OU to get the OT + either the safety or DE. So yeah, 4 top players this year to compensate for having an under performing position group in 2020 and failing to bring in a single HS RB.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
The OU 9.95ers started discussing it ~ 1 wk before signing day. As Golfclap has correctly said, the bigger issue for OU has been the focus on one elite back for the last 2 classes. This year they're likely going to bring in 3 (including, hopefully, Raleek).

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
OU had an embarrassment of riches at HB/TE going into 2021 class so TE wasn't a priority. Loss of Conyers (2020) hurts. Don't know much about this dude.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
My only quibble would be that the better OU running backs during Murray's tenure have been bigger (i can't remember watching Arizona FB). There's a possibility that smaller backs haven't had opportunity, but hard to know. But if Raleek Brown doesn't get handoffs, Murray should be canned just for that. I completely agree everything else, especially the RB recruiting. The lack of secondary options is mindblogging.

OMG! 2021 recruit! He hasn't even gotten there. I assume you're kidding about OU taking him, but OU didn't take a RB in this class and remains light at that position. It's not completely out of the question.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
I think many (? most) OU fans > 40 years old have fond memories of Casey's dad running the bone and a soft spot for his redemption story. Based on that, Casey still will have a lot of OU fans in his corner despite him being on the wrong sideline in Dallas (I'm one of them). But putting Casey on this list is setting up ridiculous expectations. But it's not just that. #4 on that list is also laughable. Purdy/Hall or Hutchinson should be on the list. Olave + any Ohio St QB should be on there as much as the Bama duo because Olave has shown much more than Metchie.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
CB recruiting for OU in 2022 should be good with Williams and Maurion Horn, another instate guy, both high on OU. Williams had an ACL injury this past year so hopefully he comes back okay. OU took 5 DBs in 2020 but only 2 in 2021 (Mukes is listed as a safety, but I doubt he stick there). All 5 guys from the 2020 class seem to be getting buzz, but based on numbers, I assume they'll go for a big DB class in 2022.

DB, probably CB.

OU Recruiting 2022: Abnormal Mutations in OUDNA
OU's gone for 1 RB in 2020 and 2021, and both years the Tide has poached the RB late. OU's indicated that they'll take 3 RB this year with one being someone like Brown (or Thompson) who can be an elite threat catching the ball. Finally, hopefully, OU will learn that placing all your bets on one elite back isn't the best idea.

Getting a known P5 quality OT is rare. Really good get by them. On the TN side, Heupel has an opportunity to remake the roster I guess...with a poor recent history and sanctions looming. The only analogous situation I can think of is Penn St after JoePa died.
