  1. IIRC, Ojomo played as a DT in his first year (or second). This past season, it definitely looked like he reshaped his body and slimmed down to play SDE. He was noticeably quicker. If he continues that trajectory, then maybe he'll stay on the outside, however, I think he's more suitable for a DT in next year's scheme. What do you mean by this? Where does Prince Dorbah fit in?
  2. Cross-posting from Recruiting: I compared him before to D'onta Foreman for the same reasons. Yours might be a better comparison. I don't get the Adrian Peterson comparison. But, he can torch you on flare routes like OU did with AD and Demarco Murray. Bijan's cutting ability is insane. Unlike anybody I can think of. A lot of his big runs late in the season started off tackle, then he'd find a seam, burst through it, and leave the front 7 in the dust. Against KState, there was a TD where he was running at full speed to the endzone with an LB approaching from the side; he makes a subtle side-step and the LB doesn't even touch him. Unreal. If he had elite top-end speed, imo, he'd be a once in a decade type of player (looking at you Jamaal, Adrian). Then again, elite top-end speed might negate some of the attributes that make Bijan so special.

  4. I thought it was sexual etiquette not to mention your one-night-stand son's name during sex.
  5. I'd like to know more about the S&C coach. That guy will be spend more time with the players in the offseason than any other coach. He's basically an extension of the HC during offseason. Going to be a big part of instilling the culture, holding players accountable, etc.
  6. He's not bitching about free information. It's more about posting in the appropriate forum/thread. This thread might as well be titled, "so, what's on your mind right now?". I'm not complaining - most of y'all are having good ol' fun wading through a shallow pool of meaningless shit - so, have at it. And, this pool of meaningless shit could be organized into smaller puddles of shit, but for whatever reason, the Surly posting guidelines have completely been ignored for these coaching search threads. And once again, I'm not complaining. Just pointing out a double-standard, if such a thing can exist on topical discussion.
  7. How similar is Bryan Harsin's offense to Sark's? Harsin used pre-snap movement on nearly every snap to gain cues from the D.
  8. WTF THAT'S BABY YODA!?!? Now I really hope he doesn't die.
  9. Beanie was having a great game until early in the fourth when he got stuffed by Muckelroy, limped off the field, and didn't play another snap.
  10. His short strides, burst, and the way he scoots reminds me of D'onta Foreman. Both are much quicker than they look.
  11. hate on my writing style all you want, but it's the substance of the post that matters. something futureman is well aware of. i'm guessing you're the type that prefers emojis like that squid character.
  12. my condolences go out to futureman and i would like to apologize on behalf of this board. he was right from the beginning, per usual. if it wasn't obvious before, it's obvious now - dude knows what he's talking about and has well connected sources. i can't imagine what it must be like to get shit on simply for being kind enough to share insider info. we are lucky to have him in this community and he should be held in high regard. mad respect for this dude.
  13. Not many throws between the hash that I can recall. We ran an RPO slant that was tipped by their all star LB. Looked like we had it if not for the tip. Same play Burt took to the house against UTEP. Think that was the first time we ran that play since it was intercepted against OU.
  14. Many here want a coach who has consistently proven success at a championship level, preferably at multiple schools. Add in a program builder for extra points. Not many practical options who fit that mold. And at this point in the season, there's only one who does. A few want all of this including someone who is not and up-in-comer, and not named Urban Meyer.

"The ideal of sportsmanship began to take a backseat to excessive celebration. The athletes caring less about executing the play than planning the vulgar grandstanding that inevitably followed even the most pedestrian of accomplishments." https://images.app.goo.gl/rNzyx95zPqoJSGrZ6
  16. BT sows discourse while twiddling the strings of division, all while speaking of "unity". Quite grand.
  17. I'm not mad at any of the players for choosing to stay and sing or not. You can add in the coaches to your equation too.
  18. I'm not speaking for Pete but it's disheartening to see a team not stand together, on and off the field. And, I don't care if they sing The Eyes or not but would like to see them on the same page. Not sure if you're being sarcastic with your last sentence, but there is no "unity" in a football team when your QB is missing. For someone as smart as you, you're such a contrarion bitch who loves to stir the pot.
  19. Not taking away from your point, but this also happened after the TCU loss (previously said it was after UTEP but think it was TCU where I saw it),
  20. Yup, when your QB and unquestioned leader stands by himself it really punches you in the gut.
