  1. Yep. But more sellers than buyers this morning- as people taking profits from good move higher the last couple weeks/month.
  2. Market down 10 points this morning in mbs. After everyone got groggy and 67% of the market started pricing in a 50 basis point cut looks like they are getting scared and selling before the announcement today. I was telling people to buy futures in 50 basis point cut when it was trading at 17% on poly maker and sell when it was at like 38%, take your profit and leave your initial stake in investment in. It hit 74% the other day. Yesterday was down to 54%. This morning it’s at 48%. Interesting.
  3. Only 4 in the loss column. Astros 1 more Cleveland loss away from controlling their own destiny for the 2 seed.
  4. And yet- the clown last night was even worse.
  5. Because I have no idea how to spell it officially I guess? My spelling of it if that’s a common misspelling is clearly monkey see, monkey do.
  6. Portal losses: I’m paying almost no attention tot his. I know Murphy is starting at Duke and looks like he wouldn’t be in our 3 deep- good for him to find a better opportunity, Neyor is getting lots of love at Nebraska. There’s nowhere for him here at Texas either, imo, but if he can catch a bunch of balls and make the league also good for him. have paid very little attention to any of the other losses- anyone doing good things? I guess I heard Catalon had a couple picks the other day (I think) but wasn’t super locked in to whoever was talking about that.
  7. 20% (less since we are going 16-0) through the season thought it would be fun to keep tabs on these guys. Chime in if I miss any Bond- Stud. Receiver 1 as advertised Golden- stud. Quinn’s favorite target when he needs to score in the red zone or a tough conversion Bolden- more down than up. I expect a couple big plays soon- and think he will get one (at least) in the return game at a key point in time. Just behind some dudes absolutely balling Niblick- stock way down. Helm and Davis have boxed him out- hope for some good stuff next year when they move on and Washington appears to be the only other receiving weapon at TE SMU- RB- glad he’s here with guys going down as break glass in case of emergency. Be interesting to see if he or Colin Page get 2nd half carries in blow outs with a shallow RB room 3 DT’s- made some plays. Depth that’s needed on the DL- glad they are here Trey Moore- stud- hasn’t gotten the QB on the ground but makes lots of winning plays Bama LB- gone- not sure why he ever showed up in the first place. San Jose ST Corner- hasn’t cracked the main rotation yet- glad he’s here. Look forward to seeing him acclimate and battle for starting position next year Makuba- awesome. Big part in making the secondary transition from actual weakness to one of best in country through his own play, intelligence, and being able to allow Barron to play CB (along with some other guys). did I miss anyone? I’ve got 4 guys getting drafted from this class at the end of this year, Moore, Makuba, Bond and Golden, a couple who can’t get on the field because the guys in front of them are breaking out in an NFL way (Cb and Niblick), some solid rotation players (DT’s), and a couple emergency guys.
  8. It’s bizarre to me that Salazar isn’t up for that 14th position player- but whatever.
  9. Episode 79 is up where we talk back of the baseball card with JV and the rest of the Astros pitching. The at the end we talk a little arch.
  10. Especially since he was indestructible. He’s the greatest college player I’ve ever seen. I suppose it’s possible if Arch plays in 25 and 26 he will surpass him. I’d bet against it- but it could happen. Like to see it happen. Like to see a 26 season out of arch just to see if it could happen.
  11. Sure. Normal deal is a 3 run lead if you start out with the bases loaded. So, tying runner is in the hole. If you come in and the bases are juiced up 5, tying runner is on deck and you get a save.
  12. 427 passing yards total- @DoobieWahwith the prediction of 428 wins. Special shout out to @Mo Hornand @msucolt45 who were the only ones who got really close but also had Arch throwing for more yards than Ewers and Other throwing for some yards. Also, special shout out to @runthebone who always makes me laugh.
  13. Lots of people got this pretty close. I just sort of picked the ones that were nailing the Texas score more or less and within a couple points overall. Our winner- the only one to nail the actual score- @mvlonghorns Congrats man- I think this is the first one of the year to get the score dead balls on.
  14. Texas is really good. ULM is really bad. The line is something like Texas by 44 or 48 or whatever- depending on the book and it bouncing around. Texas is 3-0 against the number so far this year- all by double digits. I think that double digits is going to be a difficult cover but I doubt these guys keep it within 7 TD's- Sark knows- good coaches win, legends cover. Texas- 52 ULM- 3 Bonus prediction- how many total yards (passing and rushing combined) for Arch in his debut. 338 for me.
  15. This is right I think. So, 5 runs is the max lead to get a save if the guy doesn't go 3 innings.
  16. Almost a guarantee that the challenge system will be in place for the 26 baseball season.
  17. Love that Hader allowed every base runner he inherited to score because fuck Turd Ferguson.
  18. We are cutting work and school on Friday and I’m taking my 9 year old daughter to the indoor water park in round rock on Friday and then we will go some in the morning after check out- get to Bevo Blvd around 4 and her first game will be seeing #1 ranked Texas in person. Pretty cool.
  19. Letting something become a nagging thing to play against ULM seems dumb. I’ve never heard anyone have anything particularly good to say about Ewers senior. If he’s stage managing Quinn’s career he’s doing a weird/poor job of it.
  20. Pete Thamel is the national guy that’s the Ewers family mouthpiece right? Arch getting ULM as the starter is a really good thing for the program. Any more games missed by Quinn is bad for the program It’s good for us if Ewers goes to NY and goes high in the first round which he needs to play to do. it’s good for us if Arch gets just enough run to legitimately advance his development but goes into next year with 1 start and maybe 100 passes. That makes him way more likely to stay 2 years as a starter regardless of how well next year goes for him. Also- there’s the fact that we know Ewers can get it done against really good defenses and we merely suspect Arch might be able to. for those saying Quinn couldn’t get Wally Pipped a 4-6 week injury that saw Arch beat OU and Georgia would probably do that. That being said it’s good news that it doesn’t look like that’s the case.
  21. No help incoming from the Arlington flukes either. Gonna have to take the magic number down to single digits by our lonesome.
