  1. He couldn’t take 3 cuts and then fuck right off in the game winning situation?
  2. Oooof. Sub to k/BB should be a deal breaker for a reliever.
  3. No idea what you are trying to say here or if you are making a joke and I’m too dumb for it to land. Spell it out like I eat paint chips.
  4. No worries. Every month I posted the stuff about the jobs report being nonsense that habib posted and a certain segment told me how dumb that was. Ok. Take 60k jobs off every month and let’s have those conversations again.
  5. 818k that didn’t exist. What nonsense did that do the last 12 months. Fed cuts should have happened before. So aggravating.
  6. Cleveland scored 6 in the top of the 12.
  7. Hell- he still might. Let’s get really hot! and now, Ort with his first bad outcome of the year that mattered.
  8. Maybe. We didn’t exactly lose 4 close ones to the Rangers but he was also better with defense and pitchers. I wouldn’t rule it out at all. I’d really rather we not see turd Ferguson here. Maybe he can go scoreless 2 in a row.
  9. I loved Marisnick. What a perfect baseball player (if you ignore the fact that hit tool is like 50% of a players value).
  10. He can play CF every day on a really good team (as long as he bats 9!).
  11. He can bunt 0-2 next time in that situation as far as I’m concerned.
  12. Yeah- for sure. He was getting worse and he's getting at an age where I think it makes sense to go year by year with him and look a lot more at last years stats than the year before. On balance he was really good for us. I also thought we parted ways at the right time with him.
  13. That's a weird organization that I don't think knows what they want to do or who they are. It's a big market team always looking to shed money and a team that should have been sellers 2 of the last 3 years and then inexplicably bought (sort of) this year. I don't get what they are doing over there.
  14. You are right- that was overstating with smoke and mirrors. He walked 4 guys per 9 and only struck out 10 which is really good for a starter but meh for a back end reliever. Just felt like every close game the bases would be loaded with 0 or 1 out before he'd wiggle off the hook. His fip was 3.83 so that's not bad. By comparison Abreu's is 3.4 this year and Presley is 3.05, fwiw. Hader 3.27. Scott 3.94. Dubin 3.5. We've got 5 guys this year who the numbers say are pitching better than or as good as he did last year by that metric at least.
  15. Hector Neris had just fine numbers for us last season. It was all smoke and mirrors and a merry go round on the bases. Never got the fascination with the idea of bringing either him or Maton back. No idea where Maton is or how he's doing. Probably will cost me an immaculate grid square some day.
  16. Fun episode. we talk current astros, playoff race, pitching and Hunter Brown specifically. https://open.spotify.com/episode/0xd63wa9t4uI8WSof6A2Kj?si=RcR8ruR7Rh2NIcwXRlluBg
  17. I love Yainer yall. thanks for playing maldy 125 games in the regular season and the entire playoffs Dusty you fucking cocksucking retard.
  18. And the new Urqidy (sort of) in the sense these were all guys that were definitely going to pitch for us this year and threw zero innings.
  19. If everyone is healthy come playoff time and Yordan can play LF the back end of the bench is fine. Looking at the OF for playoff teams no Toronto or Tampa means no turf, right? So that’s helpful for Yordan playing OF. Cleveland and Baltimore or big yards out in LF. Yankees short porch is RF with LF being kind of big. Minn and Seattle aren’t short there either. it’s not great on the road typing all that out. best 9 all healthy would be: Altuve/bregman/yordan/tucker/yainer/Pena/singleton (Dezenzo or whitcomb hopefully against LHP)Caratini/Meyers. Thats not great at the back end but it should be plenty good enough in competitive AB’s. If you have to sub Chas for carstini bc Yordan can’t play OF that’s a problem if Chas doesn’t get his head out of his ass.
  20. He would probably still give a more competitive AB than half todays lineup.
  21. Ahem- I said Jake should be hitting 8th or 9th in a proper lineup. The jokes on you though- Jake didn’t strike out and he got a walk. The entire lineup 4-9 was 0-17 with 7k’s. Amazingly enough if you were going to chose to play those 9 players Jake and his 687 OPS is clearly the 4th best hitter out of that particular 9. Why you would choose to play that particular 9 players if you didn’t have a gun to your head I can’t tell you, but thanks for the dub Framber- let’s never speak of it again.
