They should have brought up Matthews and played him everyday until the all star break.
I doubt he’s ready by the way, but it would be fun and it might work out.
There’s no real reason not to do that.
I mean- you can come by in October to point and laugh at everyone gripping and melting down. My general sense of equanimity disappears when the Calendar flips to October.
Yes- it would be sort of dumb not to do that as opposed to flying him out there for a game across the country to LA, and then half way back to Houston. Why mess with it?
Dubon is your every day shortstop. That should not even be remotely up for discussion. Slap dick Guilerme is his backup. Chas comes back and is the 4th OF. Yordan is right around the corner this time without a broken hand.
Don't be bedwetters, we are completely and totally fine.
Nah, you could transfer guys to the 60 day IL and kick that can down the road. Yordan isn't on there and he's probably already spent 60 on the DL. Dezenzo. Arrighetti. All those guys could easily be on the 60 man.
Also- we have some slap dicks on the 40 man roster that could go bye bye and it wouldn't matter.
Matthews should get the call. It's past super 2 if he stays up and sticks. If he doesn't you just keep him down next year until May and he doesn't earn the extra year of service time. Like Kyle Tucker. If yall recall he played a fair bit in 2028 and 2029 (like 75 AB's each year) without earning any service time or even super 2).
So-best case he belongs and you've solved 2b for 6 years. Worst case he needs more seasoning and you actively fuck with his clock next year and call him up in May if he's ready.
Nahlin is hyping up Moore- I don’t see it, but sure- it’s possible I guess.
DJ Campbell for sure. Travis Shaw maybe?
hopefully Arch has a decision to make after winning a Heisman and National title and decides to come back.
Tre Wiesner. Moore.
None of this is prediction, just plausible guys that could go.
if it’s not 10 again it should be close.
After law school I was assistant GM for a wooden bat league team in the Northwoods league. I ran the scoreboard and PA system at home and was traveling secretary on the road. I was responsible for keeping and uploading all the stats and doing the media so I kept score on every single pitch for 64 games. I have 3 kids. I’ve never felt the need to keep score for the rest of my life. It’s a bit odd if you don’t have a reason for doing it.
still- I feel it’s something every adult American man should know how to do- like changing a tire or your own oil or something like that.
You will get one in the 8th or 9th and like it.
Framber is always nasty. That’s what aces do and that’s who he is.
it’s amazing how many of our fans struggle with this (not saying you do- comment was just handy).
