  1. Ole Miss or OU or Bama could all lose. If they all win out sure but there’s football left to play. None of those teams are all that good. also- we could go 9-3 losing to a 12-0 aggy and be in ahead of Georgia, possibly if we win big. Or Georgia could lose to us and tech and we are definitely in ahead of them at 9-3. Lost of scenarios still alive but fucking bama.
  2. Bama loss also probably gets us there.
  3. Look SC is probably losing to Oregon. Michigan is probably losing to OSU. need a sooner loss in one of the last 2 games. Or- Ole Miss loss to Florida redeems the day.
  4. Just so close to awesome but ultimately brutal day of football so far. Need an Utah and byu loss and it’s almost redeemed.
  5. Fucking Alabraska. Fraudulent bunch of dipshits.
  6. No- us finishing ahead of Georgia. OU would be ahead of us imo. Georgia wouldn’t have big scallops and we’d have head to head and way more quality wins. Ole Miss losing be huge for us.
  7. If OU wins then our 9-3 has to be beat Georgia and lose to aggy.
  8. The only game we truly need is Bama over OU with the way the rest of the schedule sets up. All other games are nice to have.
  9. Unless bama also loses to auburn. So, yeah, doesn’t matter for SEC title game. Huge for 9-3 Texas to make it. Need OU to lose, obviously.
  10. They are fucking awful. Their admin is a bunch of mouth breathing morons. They have 45k in metro Atlanta against the sun belt and they fucking suck at everything they do. It’s a traveshamockery
  11. Iowa 14-0 over SC. Need bama to get their heads out of their ass.
  12. That was like performance art for USCe. I’m impressed. 9.9 out of 10.
  13. The only real question is if aggy wins by 8 or 15.
  14. Depends a lot on how our loss to Georgia would go and how convincing our win over them is. I’d call it a coinflip.
  15. Wisconsin tying up Indiana. Doesn’t matter to us but interesting.
  16. Aggy down 17-3 to Scar. There’s a world of they get drilled and then we drill them that we get in before them. If you look at SOS and the fact that 7 of their 8 conference games are to the bottom half of the league, and we finish with the same conference record and drill them (while losing close to Georgia) the committee could go with us over them. Also, a loss here for them means if we also beat them they aren’t playing for the SEC title. Which is turdition for them. I’m rooting for them to lose even though it’s maybe not in our interests if we are 9-3. But it’s worth it to see them lose.
  17. Our rooting interest in order of importance if we want 9-3 Texas in (in order of importance) 1) Pitt over Domers 2) Florida over Ole Miss 3) bama over OU 4) Iowa over USC 5) Baylor over Utah 6) TCU over BYU I’m only picking the games that could happen. If Miami, Texas tech, Georgia tech or Michigan want to lose to shitty teams I won’t be sad. Aggy getting drilled by SCar isn’t going to happen but if they get drilled and we drill them it could bring Texas at 9-3 into play over a 10-2 aggy. Probably not, but maybe. All these games aren’t necessary to go our way, and they aren’t all created equally. Domers losing to Pitt should just about do it for us to get in at 9-3 (if it’s a non blow out) if Domers win that’s pretty much a wrap for their spot which is fine, but more complicated. I also think we’d be damn near clinched of Bama and Florida win today. That should make 9-3 Texas the 4th place SEC team. 4 are definitely getting in. Utah and BYU losing also pretty much make the big 12 a 1 team league and the SEC a 5 team league which should get Texas in. Neither of those results is likely necessary and Utah losing probably slightly better than BYU losing since they still have Cincy, but I believe neither is necessary and both are just good. 1 happening gets us to about 95% of getting in at 9-2. 2 and 3 happening together get us over 90% 4 happening gets us over 80% 5 or 6 happening get us over 80% 5 &6 both happening get us up over 90%. note- I think beating Georgia comfortably and losing to an 11-0 aggy close is probably better for our playoff chances, but shit that would be tough to watch.
  18. I don’t think that’s right man. Late money came in hard texas from the sharps and the line moved accordingly. We were FAVORITES to open everywhere, a couple books mid to late week had OU slight favorites (but not all) and then by close I am pretty sure it was all Texas favored. I’m not going to swear to it or bet my child or anything on it, but that’s how I remember it.
  19. Paredes is done with his major league career. also- andrew and I did a thoroughly mediocre podcast on the Astros after a 6 week hiatus bc there’s nothing going on. It will get better. if you like the nonsense segment listen to the last 10 minutes where I talk about just how dumb a 13 year old boy can be. That’s solid work at least.
  20. It depends on if we can make it at 9-3 or not. Schedule Rice instead of OSU and split the aggy and GA games and Texas is assuredly in. If we get left out bc of the loss column then it’s an incentive to schedule like pussies. I mean- the idea that you have e to go X-1 in the SEC to make it if you lose by 1 score at the #1 team in the country is beyond dumb. That’s why I think if it’s a close loss to aggy or Georgia and a clean win against the other the committee almost has to put us in.
  21. It’s fine for how I said it. You have a permanent class of halves and then you have other teams that will push all in when their roster cycle gives them a chance to compete. The G5 team will always suck but there will be 10 or 15 teams every year that think with some strategic spending they have a chance.
  22. My goodness. Wow.
  23. I mean, yeah it should be beyond obvious that going forward it’s likely that the SEC has 4 or 5 title contending type teams many/most years and the big 10 2 or 3. If the Domers are legit talent acquirers, which I see no reason to believe they aren’t that makes 6-9 teams every year right there that should feel like they have legit aspirations to a national title. that leaves you needing 3-5 teams amongst the rest of D1 needing to be on an up roster cycle where they feel like “fuck it- our window is now” and you have a pretty solid 10 or 11 with a shot to win it all. Between Miami, FSU, Clemson, SMU, TCU, Tech, BYU and Pitt it feels like that’s more likely than not most years and you will have off seasons with 12-15 teams entering the portal cycle with money to burn and the idea of “why not us”. it’s going to be Major League Baseball. The dodgers and Yankees are always going to be good and spend a lot, but in the last 10 or 15 years you’ve also had titles won by the nationals, Royals, Astros, Giants, Cardinals and Rangers. Most of those teams aren’t in competition every year but there’s enough out there that some will always be. It’s not the dumbest take on this board in the last 2 or 3 weeks but it certainly isn’t well thought out or intelligent.
