  1. He can go win awards and it won’t matter we will be fine at receiver. We have the December signing period, February signing period and winter and spring portal. I am completely confident we will really like our roster for Sarks entire tenure here. we have at worst the 3rd best NIL situation in college football- we will be absolutely fine.
  2. Big game Hunting: Crochet for Melton, Mathews, Arrighetti or Bloss, Blubaugh, Vlad Jr for Leon, Ullola, Chas or Jake, Montero (they don’t have to take Montero- they could send us 10M instead Mason Miller for Arrighetti or Bloss (whichever didn’t go out in the other trade), Dezenzo, Loperfido, whatever prospects we get back from trading Presley and 10M to the Orioles (which should get 2 decent prospects) Astros resulting roster, Diaz, Caratini, Vlad, Altuve, Pena, Bregman, Yordan, Dubon, Jake or Chas, Tucker, singleton, Kessinger Cabbage Crochet, Brown, Framber, Blanco, JV, Garcia Hader, Miller, Abreu, Scott, Martinez, Dubin, king or Contreras. that would leave the farm with 2 players of note- whitcomb to take over for Bregman after 24 and Baez to take over for Tucker or Vlad after 2025. you’d have ace level guys in Crochet (and maybe Brown) in 2026, to go with probably mid level guys in Blanco and Garcia, whatever you can get out of LMJ, I’d try to turn Dubin into a starter, plus whatever BOR guys you sign or whoever you develop. Thats maybe WS favorites in 24 and 25 and still a legit bite at the apple in 26. That gives Dana brown 3 years to develop for 27. If that works cool keep on contending if not you start the rebuild by trading: Guys: with 2 years (Miller, Brown, Blanco, Hader, Yainer Diaz, Yordan) and guys with 1 year (Pena, Meyers- if he stays over Chas) That trade haul should jumpstart the rebuild with somewhere between 15 and 20 decent prospects- or- way better situation than we were in when Luhnow took over. That kind of decimation of the farm I am absolutely in favor of.
  3. Looking at MLB’s list of guys on the market if we aren’t going big game hunting, I’d do something like: Justin Turner and 3M for Pedro Leon Jesse’s Winker for a couple prospects in the org chart between 20 and 30 or so. both low cost moves that would lengthen the lineup and make it so we don’t have any automatic outs. Thats presuming Turner can play 1B which I assume he can.
  4. I don’t think he was ever good outside of Colorado numbers- except against us. He seemed to terrorize us.
  5. It will. Allegedly 4.2 is the magic number.
  6. In my opinion if you are serious about being a fan you ought to donate as much as you spend on tickets and merch. if you can’t do both donate. Better to watch an awesome team on TV than a shitty one live.
  7. Hold on- did you just brag about making a $200 donation?
  8. I’d say wow and the kid probably just made an insanely dumb decision. Thats fascinating.
  9. Her runs our NiL. What do you think?
  10. This should have been as quick an overturn as CB Buckner.
  11. Fucking 6 Of 7 innings lead off guy on. Throw strikes asshole.
  12. If this holds here Bregman is your player of the game with 2 knocks and awesome defense.
  13. Framber has a rabbits foot up his ass today. Two rockets from the same guy right at Bregman.
  14. Yainer needs to forget to catch a mask high fastball.
  15. Completely and totally shut the astros down in the second and 3rd inning. He’s singlehandedly (well and Framber) keeping them in the game. I can’t believe anyone is against robot umps.
  16. He is doubling down on his bullshit.
  17. That was the worst fucking AB I have ever seen an umpire have with Yordan there. And then that cocksucker has the nerve to get out from behind home plate and shout at the astros dugout? if Espada wasn’t a gigantic pussy he’d be done for the day. I’d have started a blood fund to last the rest of my life with that jackass home plate ump.
  18. You can’t expect much more than a split when you go up to Canada I suppose.
  19. I never said he is an all star. I said you eat paint chips when you say he’s a non roster candidate and at best 5th Of. I’m completely and totally happy with my analysis of Jake as an above average CF in MLB, a valuable OF and a guy you’d ideally like hitting 8th or 9th with Peña (also an average bat at a premium defensive position) hitting in the other spot. League average offensively (which Jake is for his career however you want to torture or twist which numbers we should count and which we shouldn’t) with premium defense at a defense first position (he leads the AL and is 3rd in the majors for outs above average in the OF- even with his girly arm) is a valuable player. Is it theoretically possible to upgrade? Sure. But you’d do better to first look to upgrade 1B, then LF, then starting pitcher, then bullpen before you even get to the point where you consider trying to get better than Jake on this roster. as to runthebone- you are a board treasure and I celebrate your entire catalogue. Happy 4th brother
  20. Seems like the fans did a pretty good job this year- nothing to really get super upset about.
  21. Nice catch, getting on base and rbi don’t count. also- ignore the fact that he almost singlehandedly won us the game scoring 4 times on Saturday. Also doesn’t count. we could net it down to fWar or bWar or something crazy like that and say he’s something like the 50th best OF in baseball or something like that- or look at a 730 ops, but it’s a lot easier to say he’s maybe a 5th OF at best.
