  1. I have been a bit reticent to talk about this but here goes. Long story ahead. I moved back in with my father(now 87) last year. I am on what I hope is temporary disability. Was suffering from bouts of vertigo(those have passed) and when they were running every test in the book to try and figure out the cause, they found I was low on testosterone. Not that it was causing the issue but they started me on testosterone injections, which led to me getting a DVT in my left leg. Now I have to elevate it above my heart to get the swelling out of my left lower leg/foot. I moved back in with him for two purposes, one my disability took over a year to process, so no income or insurance during that time. Secondly, he needed someone to drive him to Dr appts and such. He has congestive heart failure, his kidneys were failing(they just went kaput and he just started dialysis). I now have income and insurance through SSD(again, hopefully temporary, being stuck at home sucks ass). So I have setup physical therapy for my right shoulder(frozen shoulder) and joined the health club(with a pool) next door. I can do those while he is sitting in the dialysis chair. That is not what I need help with though, which is what brings me to this thread. At times during the past year, my father has went in to bouts of dementia, varying in intensity, from ones I can eventually bring him back out of to lucidity to ones where I had to get the ambulance out to subdue him and take him to the hospital. Each time he has been dehydrated. Whether that was the cause or just a coincidence, I am not 100% sure. He had the CHF and takes diuretics, which keeps him from getting fluid on his lungs but also killed his kidneys. When he goes into one of these states, he does nonsensical stuff, repetitively. Like he took a loaf of bread, broke each piece into very small pieces and then took a spoon to mix it up, over and over. Also the last major time, we found him in his bathroom, stark naked, shaving his face with an electric razor. He went about that for an hour, with me trying to get him out of there, finally had to get the ambulance to bring some ketamine to get him to the hospital. He was fine after they gave him IV fluids. He does not show all the signs of Alzheimer's, as he remembers everyone, he just gets stuck in a loop of repetitive nonsense. Just wondering if anyone else here has had to deal with something similar, any tips or possible diagnoses?
  2. That or it is for the Ready Player One filming. BTW, love the bear doing the Mick arm gesture aka Iberian Slap.
  3. Dunno bout that but instead, tell em to leave their teeth in the container.
  4. She saw the two utes.
  5. He just moved ahead of Lamar Thomas.
  6. It is also a very real possibility that Jr did a ton of roids to try and live up to his dad. We know he did them, that soldier speech was 100% roid rage, just not sure on why he did them.
  7. CTE is a real thing but it does not need to be an excuse for every piece of shit out there. Plenty of guys likely suffered from it and did not go out to commit murder like Hernandez or rape like this shitbird, if he did it. He has been a piece of garbage since his roided days at Miami. Even if he is not guilty of this, he has a track record to make him look guilty from the start.
  8. Karma, as in he will not win any more titles? I think he has won plenty. About 5 players transfer every season from Bama, only about 1 in 10 goes on to any noticable PT elsewhere. As for Smith, a few years ago, to UGA and Kennedy this season, to the Vols, that was a SEC rule that grads could not transfer to an upcoming opponent without sitting out a year. That rule just got rescinded at the SEC meetings and Kennedy was immediately released.
  9. I did not say unless it hurts the level of competition, just pointing out that it likely will, just so people know the end results.
  10. ^Yep, so the season's are nods to classic sci-fi now.
  11. Yeah, fine with making him the villain but why have his hated enemy there if they want to "save" him.
  12. In his visions, was what I saw the death of a previous civilization which led to the formation of the current solar system?
  13. I hope you are not including my comments in that. I am all for making everything fair for the players. I am just not sure this is going to help any schools except those already in power. Sure, an Auburn or a Tennessee might get some help from a Bama transfer but they are already one of those programs that are in the top 25 all time. It will hurt the smaller schools or ones with no real history of success. Say Vandy somehow gets a great LT but the rest of the team sucks ass. Bama loses it's third string RB to AU, Bama picks up a possible future NFL LT from Vandy to fill that roster spot, that can block for RB1 and RB 2 for Bama. AU moves up a single notch, Bama moves up a notch and a half, Vandy drops another notch.
  14. We talk about the aggy rollercoaster all the time, but when this little fun ride thing ends for Bama, (and it will eventually) it's going to be epic beyond belief.. I have been on that ride before, so used to it, just glad for the peak times now. One major difference in the aggy lollercoaster and Bama, they have never seen the end of the ride, they have always crashed. Probably used Aggy engineers to build their ride. FTR, I am not saying what I said out of some form of braggadocio, I just think this will benefit the bigger programs more than the little guys.
  15. Yeah, that may be some coaches fear but are they going to sign a player each year from every school they play? I mentioned above, even though Saban spoke against it, he will likely benefit from it more than most. You have a school with a great LT and the rest of the team is shit, well why not transfer to Bama, if they need help at that one position and win yourself a ring.
  16. Keep in mind, the one year sit out rule is still in place for underclassmen. Only grads will not have to sit a year, if they stay at the FBS level. All this does is allows in conference or a transfer to an upcoming OOC opponent.
  17. If you don't think he will turn this to his benefit, you crazy. He has mentioned many changes as something he was against, then used the changes to his benefit.
  18. American Made, pretty decent flick, about 7/10.
  19. Well, shit. I did not watch a ton of his stuff but from what I saw, he seemed to be a badass. Shame he could not bring himself to seek help. We, as men, are taught not to show weakness. RIP carnivore.
  20. Yeah, that is what I got from it. If you make it too much like the original human, from their actual memories, it rebels against it's programming. If you take a blank slate and write it's code from others memories of a person, it is fine. An exercise in how one sees themselves vs how others see them. Also, the actual hosts, they kept getting their programming changed for different scenarios, which is why they became somewhat self aware. Bernard was not killed over and over and reprogrammed with an entirely different background.
  21. Now I know what it feels like when someone said they were jealous of me binging Breaking Bad, the year after it ended.
  22. I would probably put it one notch lower, behind Justified. That is just for the drama shows. Cheers is my number one TV show of all time.
  23. Blade Runner 2049. It was OK, maybe a 6.5/10.
  24. Pic of the happy couple was also in there, don;t know why it was not in the OP...
  25. My bike looked a lot like this... Don't think that was the exact bike but it was a Diamondback, had the pads on the bars and was blue. In my teens, got a 10 speed Specialized road bike. My brother was a pro rider back then. He got it for me, for dirt cheap, through his sponsors. We were not rich, not poor either but I benefited greatly from having older brothers who were computer engineers, electronic engineers, pro cyclist and a sponsored distance runner(got the very first pair of Air Max before they hit the market, pic below of what they looked like back in '87).
