  1. For a sane and moral person it's enough for a lifetime...
  2. Should have known you would be into bestiality.
  3. The problem is that you are then likely down to (or even below) PAC and ACC money. At that point Texas and OU are definitely better off making either making the Pac the new third conference that is financially in the ballpark with the Big 10 and SEC or you join the SEC or Big 10 and make one or the other the premier media conference.
  4. I agree that the game time criticism is really a non-starter for our games. Obviously, if you are a Texas fan in the Eastern Time Zone and want to keep up with the conference you are going to be staying up late to watch some portion of the PacX games. You will likely miss all the 3rd tier games as I doubt adding Texas/OU changes the conference network dynamic beyond the Central Time Zone. I think the reason we have never pulled the final trigger on moving to the Pac is because there wasn't a robust payday for making the move. There may have been some marginal uptick in the T1/T2 money that was easily offset by retaining T3 rights. I am not sure if the fundamentals have changed enough to improve the likelihood of moving out West. I get the sense in this current weaker environment, there is still little upside to be had from that move, but we have a long time until our next decision is made. The players involved in the next round of TV contracts in 5 or 6 years is yet to be determined. If we don't do some sort of co-media deal with the Pac, I could see the Big 12 again making a move to take money over exposure and signing with a newcomer to college football to keep the conference going for another 5-10 years. I would be surprised if we give up on the LHN unless OU forces our hand.
  5. Meemaw has that dirty, sweaty smell of the wet $100s she stashes for recruits in her bra.
  6. I wonder what the networks were on all those games. We all know we were exchanging cash for being on Fox. Perhaps the crappy viewership numbers on Fox submarine the conference in the next round of negotiations, but I get the sense Ross ignores that because he wants Texas out of the Big 12, so let's just ignore the fox in the room. Unless the Big 12 offer craters compared to what the Pac and Big 10 get when they renegotiate, I think we stay put. OU getting out of the Big 12 would be the only other domino that might fall and we aren't going to help OU when it comes to leaving. The LHN may not survive beyond its contract and if it continues, it will never payout what it did under the current contract, but I don't see where we would go that would be a more favorable balance of being a big fish and making big media money. I still think a Pac co-media deal for T1/2 is the likeliest scenario, but I could also see the Big 12 reupping the T1/2 for 5 years at an amount between what the Pac/ACC and Big 10/SEC make.
  7. I doubt it. I am far from a fan of Franklin's but the guy rarely loses to teams he shouldn't lose to. I don't think he is a plus coach that is regularly going to beat Michigan AND OSU, much less beat one regularly. But the rest of the Big 10 sucks and, unless Pitt is starting on a long term rise, PSU's OOC slat is always crap, so he is going to win 9 games most seasons. Beat OSU or Michigan every couple of years and he gets that 10 win season that keeps him his job. He also recruits well enough that he could get himself a Vince Young QB and win the Big 10 or even get a playoff shot. It probably takes a sea-change improvement in the Big 10 coaching ranks or a scandal to push him out in the next decade.
  8. What did that fucker say?!?
  9. Don't really care about added bowl games. I will only watch a few, but several of those will be on a whim, so additional games means I might get to watch football on a whim... That said I would be willing to have less bowl games to expand the playoffs. I also think all teams, no matter their record, should have the option of the two weeks of post-season practice that is afforded to bowl and playoff teams. The dregs should have the chance to get a leg up on the next season by getting in some practice, if they so desire.
  10. So that must mean aggy is the in front of the scenes leader, right! #soyouretellingmetheresachance #advantageaggy
  11. Why are you posting this to the football board? They are probably going to pick up shoes or Chik-fil-a for the basketball team. If you are looking for their football coach search, I suggest checking the train schedules.
  12. That's why I said 'should'. We would hardly need rules if not for the likes of aggy.
  13. Honestly, if you play an FCS, you can't laugh at anyone else's OOC. If you play an FCS and 2 G5s OOC you should just keep your mouth shut entirely.
  14. Dear Aggieland faithful, I was in the beautiful College Station this weekend for the big SEC matchup. Being a Rebel, I understand the great importance and joy of tailgating and I would like to thank your school and her fans for easily the best road trip in my short years as a follower of SEC football. Me and my friends arrived early to set up our tailgate in your hallowed ground. I clumsily set out my stakes to mark my spot when a fine, upstanding Aggie gentleman informed me that I had erroneously staked out ground meant for other tailgaters. His courteous nature and swift bludgeoning hammer gently made clear my mistake. After several blows, I was able to correct my error and the kind gentleman and I shared several drinks in the spirit of fine Southern bonhomie. After the game, I was graciously well tended to by Kyle Field's fine medical team and never once heard any gloating or any arrogance from the fine people of THE flagship Texas university. I look forward to many return trips to the Station and her fine medical facilities. All my best to the greatest fans in the country, An Old Miss Junior
  15. That's only because if a minority student gets in over a good white student they just have a special "bonfire" on their lawn to make sure the minority student understands the importance of tradition in Aggieland.
  16. I think the idea is that AA can play special teams but isn't mentally ready to see the field at LB.
  17. I always figured Hamm's favorite playthings came through holes in bathroom stalls.
  18. From his toy choices, an ass beating may be just what he wants.
  19. I always heard that story with Ted Nugent stomping on the poop, Ozzy digging in it and finally aggy running up and eating it.
  20. For Zach's wife, 'I don't want to lose my life' means Zach would choke a bitch. For Michelle, it means losing her husband and the money and social connections of being a coach's wife.
  21. It is odd how toothless the P5 is when it comes to their own. The Pac, Big 12, and Big 10 schools outnumber the SEC and ACC schools and yet they do nothing about scheduling that clearly limits their playoff possibilities. They could easily get the G5 to back them by all agreeing to ban FCS teams, games that would mostly go to the G5. If those three conferences wanted to level the playing field they could, just by doing that, but they could also insist on 9 conference games. Hell, I would think even ESPN would rather profit off the ability to have better content if no one in the SEC or ACC played FCS teams. The value of their ACC and SEC games (even the shitty ones that appear on the conference nets) would improve both without FCS teams and especially with both conferences playing 9 games. There must be other things going on the background that keep these sorts of practical reforms from happening.
  22. 'this' got his walking papers...only 24 more negs to send Coug/ShittySchmitty off the reservation again.
