  1. Mackey was certainly no fan of the lockdowns or shutting down schools. He talked about it some when he sat down with Joe Rogan
  2. Douglas Kennedy sounds like a real pussy
  3. Yes, it’s definitely more than a few. I read in The NY Times that only 28 percent of blacks in NYC between 18-44 are vaccinated. Compare that to 48 percent of Latinos and 52 percent of whites in the same age group.
  4. We had a similar incident in our daughter’s Pre-K and got her tested at Walgreens. You just use the drive up and the pharmacist hands you a swab to use and then you put it back in it’s packaging and stick in the medicine drawer thing. They emailed her results in about 2 hours Pro tip: if there are no same-day appointments go ahead and book one for whatever date is available and just show up to the Walgreens. The pharmacist at our walgreens told us to do this and they went ahead and let us take the test.
  5. It really is crazy how fast those fuckers can destroy a lawn. Just last week my wife was bragging on how good I had the back yard looking! It’s like they fucking heard her and decided to ruin my hard work!.
  6. Yep, those army worms are something fierce. About a month ago, I thought I’d knocked them out with Sevin, but they came back over the weekend with vengeance. I hit them with some BT yesterday so we will see how that works. A couple of my neighbors have all but lost their yards to them.
  7. Uh, does this mean the bad guys won? Chilling in the Presidential palace.
  8. And this is exactly with President Biden said would not happen. Q Mr. President, some Vietnamese veterans see echoes of their experience in this withdrawal in Afghanistan. Do you see any parallels between this withdrawal and what happened in Vietnam, with some people feeling —THE PRESIDENT: None whatsoever. Zero. What you had is — you had entire brigades breaking through the gates of our embassy — six, if I’m not mistaken. The Taliban is not the south — the North Vietnamese army. They’re not — they’re not remotely comparable in terms of capability. There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of a embassy in the — of the United States from Afghanistan. It is not at all comparable.
  9. Thank you. I’ll order some and give it a shot.
  10. There are definitely Doctors in rural parts of Texas who are giving ivermectin to patients with COVID.
  11. What is this and how to I make it stop growing? I’ve been hand pulling it, but I just can’t keep up.
  12. Hardly a drop out in Drip and my power is out.
  13. Is anyone familiar with the process of adding someone to the title of a home? There is a mortgage on the home and this is in Texas.
  14. Lamesa is also the home of the “chichihua” sandwich. Quite a tasty little concoction https://texashillcountry.com/chihuahua-sandwich-movie-theater/
  15. Not AISD, but my 3 yr old’s daycare had a teacher test positive this week. All kids required to stay home for 5 days and produce a negative test result before returning. I can only imagine how fucked up a full fledged school is going to be this year.
  16. I’m not a CRE guy, but you might look at CoStar to see if they have what you’re looking for.
  17. Anyone have a Dr. or clinic they recommend in Austin for this sort of thing?
  18. Here now. Search and rescue helicopter been flying by the last hour or so. Anyone heard what happened? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. AUSTIN, Texas — A second suspect has been arrested in connection to the mass shooting on Sixth Street on Saturday morning. On Monday, KVUE's Tony Plohetski confirmed that police arrested the second suspect, Jeremiah Roshaun Leland James Tabb, 17, in the Killeen area. According to Killeen ISD officials, the 17-year-old male was arrested at Harker Heights High School. District officials said the Killeen ISD Police Department are working diligently with the Austin Police Department to assist in an ongoing investigation.
  20. I like this little editor’s note from the Statesman on why they didnn’t include the description of the shooters in their story. It’s only “harmful in perpetuating stereotypes” when it doesn’t fit their narrative. I have a feeling if the description was “white biker in leather vest” they would’ve run with it. Editor's note: Police have only released a vague description of the suspected shooter as of Saturday morning. The Austin American-Statesman is not including the description as it is too vague at this time to be useful in identifying the shooter and such publication could be harmful in perpetuating stereotypes. If more detailed information is released, we will update our reporting.
