  1. Adam isn’t one person. He represents the species that is capable of self awareness and the ability to comprehend God (the universe; both seen and unseen.) That awareness evolved inside a creature already possessing instincts for survival. The Fall of the parable is an attempt to separate those impulses, such as self preservation, aka original sin, from the morality that derives from the newly developed self awareness. The quince (apple) from the tree of knowledge. Becoming self aware. Focusing on logical inconsistency is not the path to understanding the parable.
  2. Humans are on planet Earth by the end of the first chapter in Genesis. Adam is not mentioned in Gen 1. The parable of Eden is the subject of Gen 2. Adam is not necessarily a human, rather Adam is Man. He represents the evolved homo erectus, with our self awareness
  3. Translations do beg the credibility of the xitter.
  4. First election that I cast a vote for a woman. I agree with your assessment of Clinton, though.
  5. Hopefully, Madam President Harris will one day present Joe with the Congressional Medal of Honor, for putting country first.
  6. Absolutely. Shit flinging is not gonad determinative. I see Lama’s quote being validated at the ballot box, though I, too, look forward to a female POTUS.
  7. Saw Johnny Rodriguez and Lucinda Williams cover this at the Cactus’ Woody Guthrie Hoot Night. Searing. Pos rep.
  8. Truth. More specifically, Texans who vote Republican have failed spectacularly.
  9. But, narcissistic know it alls were certain the law allowed hospitals to save women’s lives.
  10. Texas should invest in its teachers, and incentivize their best performance, and then get the fuck out of their classrooms.
  11. Consensus is, while RFK voters are crazier than most crazies, the craziest are pissed they are crazier than turnip, so will sit out the election.
  12. If you have no guns, you can’t defend against unarmed folks, and running your bitch mouth becomes more of a risk.
  13. That sounds odd to me. But, lengua, campechanos, birria, suadero, and cabeza all suit. And egg, chorizo, and bean, with Claudia’s habanero salsa at Fuel Wise on Frate Barker. Still looking for a flying ant taco …
  14. That makes sense. I left out part of Bartley’s quote, though, so my post was unclear. Barkley said (Mulaney) needs to go to the Olympics, that at the Olympics, everyone loves their country. Mea culpa.
  15. Once I learn what a Spanish word means, that word automatically becomes English.
  16. Waltz’s highest rank was Chief Master Sergeant, but he retired as a Master Sergeant. The charge is a nothingberder. In addition to what Bates posted, I read that you retire at the highest rank you have held for three years, so it is not uncommon to retire at a rank lower than the highest rank achieved. https://www.rand.org/paf/projects/dopma-ropma/retirement-and-separation/retirement-grade.html
  17. John Mulaney said, in an interview, that Charles Barkley told him: at the Olympics, everyone loves their country. That seems more true today than when I was a young man, and I am glad I am here for it. It was a dusty Olympics.
  18. Aight. It is funny that turnip’s hands are bigger than carpetbaggers.
